Guild Battle Discussion

“Each guild will be assigned a random headquarters out of the 8 available areas.”

Seems like Scout will be the key to finding the headquarters. Suddenly regret not going Scout

this is why im worried about server population as the prime servers will have the best players and will benefit the most by making character there.

But then again, its easier for a guild in less populated server to horde all the good spot for item and exp.

If there will be no serious massive PVE raids other than world bosses, RIP PVE builds. GvG rewards are too good.

and get the Prizes :3

will the equipment be standardized like in arena battle or will it be depend of who got the rarest of the rarez most OP itams and the most complex pvp builds w/ equipment to compliment.

i dont like the TP idea, maybe free teleport, some golden anvils, even something like +10days of Token, but the TP idea will make the winner guild have a lot of p2w scroll to use and sell…

Exactly, it’s too good that going for a pure PVP build is the better choice since the rewards will most likely compensate your lackness on PVE by giving you potential huge income from the TPs and using enchant scrolls.

Pve isn’t necessarily bad in gvg because PVE character usually excel in dealing with large amount of mobs, for example, gvg scenario.

Have you seen the huge advantage of pure CON builds on PVP? PVE characters dies in just a few hits because of having low CON investment.

Not to mention, there are min-maxed builds like mine where I went with almost pure STR and relying on a flat% crit rate buff for crits. I have no DEX, I have barely any CON, in short, I’m doomed on PVP.

You are supposed to have a strategy in gvg where your glass cannon character is not tanking all the damage.

That only works on best case scenario where the enemy “stupidly” ignored the DPS dealing the most damage to them. Or the enemy simply got CC’d to death.

Pure CON will still give you tons more rooms for error compared to PVE builds with low CON. This still remains a huge advantage to pure PVP builds.

THE HWOLE SERVER BENEFITS.

8 tp max for free tp.
And 6000 tp isn’t that much.

And actually. If they spam that on the market, the price will drop xD.

I’m worried that it will be a 5x5 battle. Doesnt seem viable for only 5 people to defend and scout

You are forgetting that they have to charge into backline if they were to aim you. Your teammate is there to have some free hit over them.

Gvg and PvP is fundamentally different. There is more teammate to rely on, and there are more enemy for each team than the usual 5 in PvP. Yes CON build has more room for error, but they don’t take down important target as quickly too.

Nope. It is possbile to quickly take down priority targets even with full CON. I’ve seen full CON Cata C3 builds do this all day on PVP.

PVE builds are just way too squishy on PVP. Do you play on KR?

Not really, but I do understand taking down objective in battles are more similar to a MOBA than usual PVP that you experienced in kToS.

I do understand that a squishy melee character is probably gonna be useless here (unless you are ratting their tower).

Unless the map is fairly linear (no obstacle, just one straight road between guild owers), with no good ramp and highground to utilize from, there is alot of strategy that can be deployed to utilize the glass cannon DPS character.

It’s hopeless to discuss if you choose to be stubborn about it. You need to see for yourself how squishy PVE builds are on PVP. They die in 1-3 hits.

PVP and GvG is different. Unless IMC designed this so poorly that there is no strategy involved other than straight up skirmish, PVE builds can be useful.

But again, this is IMC, I won’t be surprised if you are right, there is no strategy involved other than face rolling your enemy.

Of course, there are other factors now including finding the enemy base first. This pretty much changed the whole PVP gameplay from the common 5v5 brawl. Still, it also means that a pure PVE becomes more useless considering your priority isn’t killing the most enemies, but rather destroying the objective where you deal 1 damage.

GVG isn’t like the usual melees vs melees in the middle while ranged supports from behind if the area is alot bigger and enemies could come out from anywhere. It’s alot trickier. PVE builds can be taken out in just a few skills by a surprise attack.
