[Guide] Wugushi: The Venomous Tribe

No problem, I actually thought the same before. It wasn’t until I was more interested in how all these modifiers on skills worked that I figured it was different. Dream’s damage post thing was really helpful.

Thank you.

I would like to know if including a Manticen card my spells can deal some more damage or If it’s not working as it should be.

I’ve read somewhere it’s not working properly. :l So no matter If there’s a card or not.

I haven’t gotten my hands on one of the insect cards myself, so I can’t say for sure. I do know that the two insect cards’ only effect is to give an additional attack (rather big aoe though) at the beginning of Throw Gu Pot.

Is there a limit of insects when I cast Jincan Gu?

Or the more monsters I kill the more insects will appear?

It takes quite a while, however you do not have to wait until your pot is completely empty to re-fill it. You can always refill it if you feel like it.

Please be careful during missions/dungeons though. You canNOT refill your poison pot during dungeon/mission so check (and refill) before you enter or queue.

Once you are wugushi 2, get this attribute to lvl 1 (yes, lvl 1 is most cost-efficient, an earlier poster has tested this}.

Wait, NVM can’t get it to work, please accept this big post.

Wow, there’s a lot more cards that can be used now.

Only the beginning does it give damage like really not that much and negligible.

Jincan Gu applies a 60 second poison debuff on enemies, it ticks once every 3 seconds. You throw a poison puddle which lasts 5 seconds, and any enemy inside will get the debuff. Randomly spawns 1 - to skill level amount of insect per killed mob with the poison debuff, not sure. The level of the spawned insect is the level of the killed mob (like bokor zombie mechanic). Some spawned insects are very weak, and some very strong. I don’t know what causes their damage variance.

Increasing skill level only increases poison damage: 593.7 + 145.1 per skill level, damage dealt over 60 seconds.

Edit: insects live for 20 seconds, do not move around a lot, will NOT follow any player, and are able to receive buffs and heal (tiles).

Lv. 1 only? lol.

That’s quite valuable information, thanks.

People complain about Wugushi 3 because of that skill am I right? Some ppl say there’s no attribute for it and stuff.

Some others say that’s not a good choice to go for Wugushi 3.

But in general, talking about Wugushi scaling, that theme is more than discussed about, I’ve seen the difference between Wugushi 2 and 3. That’s huge in terms of damage.

Unfortunately this last skill doesn’t add that much.

How useful is Jincan Gu against bosses?

Quote, poison pot reserve attribute for wugu2:
Level 1 is the best for your silvers.

The numbers below zhendu, needle blow, wugong gu, throw gu pot, jincan gu represent the Poison Pot cost of those skills.

Edited the image to represent cost effectiveness.

@Harumi Jincan Gu is ok vs bosses, however if you go wugu3, you have very little points to spend. Usually you will max Needle Blow (15), Wugong Gu (15), Throw Gu Pot (10). So you will have 5 leftover points. I have seen 1 jincan gu, 1 bewitch, 3 zhendu being popular to spend leftover points. You don’t need Detoxify since you have 0 Cooldown antidotes, sold by the Item Merchant.

Well, I think I should improve Poison Reserve according to my Silver left.

In other words, Lv. 50 is over?

Lvl 1 is enough. You will easily get insect mob-drops during your ToS-life and you are always able to restock on venom vials. I’d recommend you save silvers for other attributes or equipment.

These Rank 8 don’t give me any idea about Arch C1 => QS C3 => Wug C3 => Keepo C1

Im going for A1>R3>W3>Mergen1
The balance between Single and AoE Damage -

A2 > Sapper 2 > W3 > Mergen here.

Gu pot sucks… wugong gu is the best skill of wugushi

Gu Pot is so good in PVP. U can’t dodge or block it and even if u run out of it, it still last 4 secs which is 8 ticks of 3k+ dmg. Unless u miss them on your throw
