This quest is currently broken. You can receive the “quest” when you enter Lot 2-1F and go to the “area” to trigger it, however the five “purifiers” (in Crystal Mine 1F and 2F) do not give any numbers when “spoken to”. :cold_sweat:

But then again it’s just 1 point in DEX which shouldn’t impact the computation that much, they’ll probably fix it.

I’m running a pure STR SReiter and I did a couple attempts of ET

(I know my stat build is unoptimized)

Currently have 680 STR and around 820 Block Pen (managed to get around 420 crit rate)

  • Even with these stats, the hogma warriors block me more than half the time.

  • It’s definitely more efficient to leave it for your elememes to take care of it as the amount of block pen you need seems to be impossible to DPS effectively against hogma warriors

  • Half-assing crit rate or half-assing block pen doesn’t seem to be effective. Focus on one or the other and let your party take care of your deficiencies.

  • Also reconsider glassmole cards. They may last 4 seconds but the amount of physical burst you can release at that time might outperform ellaganos cards. Not to mention it works with those random sp plants which has less cooldown that sp potions which leads to higher uptime

Woah Unicorn Card really interesting.
Centaurus Card also good one for me. if can replace Falcon’s circling with high AAR. This one is the best for Koochaksal.

It doesnt increase the area of the skills. It is still the same area, but mobs with 0 aoe defense will not “block” your skill pathing, making it hit everything on its way (check Magic missle or homing Arrow area using Oracle buff, with circling it will hit every mob into that Green Square)

When you say unoptimized, what do you mean exactly? What kind of otimization you talk of?

When you talk about half assing, do you refer to “going a balanced ratio of dex and str” or do you refer to “going a full str or full dex build”?

People should disregard Zalciai debuff and consider only its buff. It is safe to say that its magic circle, although aplied a very long lasting debuff, only lasts for 5 seconds. It just is not practical or safe, the mobs debuffed by zalciai are gonna die really fast and you will have to deal with those that were not debuffed, it requires a bit of positioning to make every mob in the wave to be debuffed by it. And btw, it is more common for people to bring a dievdirbys.

And please, when talking about stat balancing and investing, one should also know about your ability to shift gear in favor of what your build can do at its best. A dex heavy build will seek for crit att, physical att, block pen. A str heavy build will seek for crit rate. When you see people go 1:1 str dex stat ratio is because of its ability to not get screwed by future patches and its capability to make gear shifting possible. You can, yes, equip one glad band and sissels, get some crit att head gear and some crit rate head gear and get some physical att head gear and str head gear, all mixed in the same build.

Unfortunately, the future patches do favor dex heavy build. When i am talking about dex heavy builds, i am talking about those build that go not higher than 90 STR and the rest goes all in dex. That is a 2~3:1 DEX:STR ratio, but this all depends on ones gear. That is because we do not know if they are going to implement gear that favors a str build. Or a dex build.

If anyone did not notice, i only observed people going duo sissels or duo glad band, or 3 green gems, none mix any, no one actually did a research about a build that would be optimal with mixed in gears

You hit many points to why my stat build is unoptimized.

  1. I don’t have any con and I have barely 12k HP which is very low for ET. The only reason I did this was to experiment the ridiculous scaling of str and int compared to other stats compared to the class bonus. I have a stat reset potion anyway.

  2. I traded a measly 100 extra damage and block pen from str which I could’ve put into crit rate. If you’ve seen @Nicola and her stat distribution, it is feasable to reach around 80% crit rate while my build crits around 50% of the time

  3. If you stubbornly want to go through the hogma warriors, going full str and getting block pen gems (instead of the standard green gems) might allow you to be a more effective DPS (Imagine getting blocked 50% of the time while critting 30% of the time compared to not being blocked at all and not critting at all). This is what I mean by not half-assing block pen.

  4. While future favours a heavy dex build, multi-hit classes such as SR have low base damage and STR will still be needed. However, there are some builds that build heavy dex with like 50 in str. The way stat bonuses work in this game, you’ll get more bonus stat points the more you invest in the stat and that extra 50~ block pen you get from str might as well be shoved into DEX. 50 won’t make much difference to block penetration.

  5. Regarding cards, for some classes such as SReiter, all your damage comes from retreat shot. Therefore, it can be very favourable to focus improving your damage with glass mole cards during the few seconds of retreat (which can be held longer with melstis)

In my opinion, flat stat bonuses scale poorly because of IMCs ridiculous power curve with the new equipment. If you notice the new equipment arriving, some of them give +50 to a stat, which I forsee getting higher in the future. Who knows when r9 comes and some weapons will give +100 dex? which makes it less future proof compared to a percentage boost like the glass mole.

My final thoughts regarding stat builds, with the way IMC seems to be shifting the game in, that stat points are just there for survivability and crit rate. Regardless of how optimized your stat build is, at the end of the day, its all overshadowed by equipment and attribute levels. STR is becoming less relevant with high base damage, new equipment, and transcendence
