Guide to Fencer / Doppel / Bullet Marker [PVE]

ok i just use cafrisun set, and after 2 hour of grinding for vubbe fighter gauntlets i got it too

my question is, should i use it or just sell it?

Vubbe fighter gloves? Definitly wear!

i see thanks for the advice

ugh getting to rank 6 is not easy as i think it would be.

how can u guys get to lvl 150 in 3 days.

im 2 days in and still sub 50

Token + 30% exp
Team level + 10+% exp
Grind, quests, grind, quest, kill counts.
Well first time i use any exp card on 80 lvl because - Dungeon.

team level? whats that?

each time when you raise character level you sometimes raise team level too. This doesn’t matter on what character you do this or… pet. You buy pet, you running with him and he leveling too.

i c i c.

welp i should buy token then

Some people posting fencing stuff with not me too?

Pro fencer + dagger.

Edit: Many people says skyliner is crap because some mobs don’t bleed, but have they noticed we can turn all higlander’s skills(slash) a T0 hitting like skyliner in the combo cross cut + skyliner?

@Kascly
ok well first of all, to the video you posted; that’s not fencing its dueling… Rappers are just old school dueling weapons because they were cheap during the olden days because they required less metal to make.

2nd, to each their own but I personally don’t like the crossliner combo because I prefer Flanconnade for its utility and not having an overheat.
Vs skylines that gets 3 uses then goes down.
Now if this were before the nerf, back in the 0cd days the I could justify it for its similar dmg to Flanconnade and drastically less mana cost with the ability to give it a huge burst.

But since these are not those days, I prefer consistency and sustain over dmg.

Still in the off-topic theme:
Many people like to glorify Japanese Samurai and Katanas. This is due to popular culture and animes playing a big part in influencing it, and the lack of European x Japanese battles to weight them. Because of that, false myths were spread about European Swords being heavy and clunky, or that Europeans didn’t have Martial Arts.
That, of course, is not true. Actually, European Swords were lighter, longer and of a better metal than the Japanese Katanas! Few people know, but Katanas were very short, due to the Japanese Men’s average height in the time: 1.50m
They were also very heavy for their size, because of the manufacturing technic of “folding steel”, that was done mainly for two reasons: The metal quality was poor, and they focused more on getting the sword sharp.
Also, this obsession with making the Sword “as sharp as possible” actually was a huge drawback of the Katana and its sister-swords, as the harder they got, the more breakable they became, and needed constant sharpening.

One of the most superlative examples of how European Soldiery and Martial-Artists were in comparison to Asian ones is the famous Battles of Cagayan of 1582, fought by the Spanish against the Japanese.
Result: 40 Spanish “Fencers” (they used mainly Rifles and Rapiers) defeated 1000 Japanese Samurai.

break easier when clashing against other metals maybe…
But katanas being curved actually works in its favor, because the entire blade never makes contact with its target at the same time.
This allows for the pressure and force to be distributed evenly throughout the blade and has a smaller chance to break or shatter.

Most people don’t know this, but European swords were only originally meant for thrusting, not cutting.
This is why earlier European swords don’t actually have a blade, but just a point. (Same as a rapier)

So if I use a rapier and do a duel it’s not a fencing?
Well is better ToS change fencer to duelist.

Anyway flaconnade has a crap damage, and about blocking, well fencer is suited to high dex, blocking from flaconnade usefull in scenarios where you get hit almost often by high acc targets(rare archers).

Again, to each their own but I prefer the sustain and reliability of Flanconnade over skyliner…
The bulk of any rank 6+'s dmg won’t come from its previous classes that’s for sure.

And fencer is probably the biggest example of this, for having almost no synergy with anything but highlander or barb… And just barely Rode or Hop
The bulk of a fencer’s dmg I’d coming from c2 and c3 and crossliner can’t hold a candle to anything in those kits.

And no just about all of fencer’s skills are named after anctual stances in Fencing.
But just using a rapier doesn’t make you a fencer, just like using a katana doesn’t make you a samurai or using a Naginata don’t make you a ninja.

Learn this as soon as possible, that unless your class has boosts that are biased on a % or abilities that specifically correlate to another class or work in tandem with other skills-
Then a early game DPS class with ALWAYS fall off in damage after the point where you should be getting its c3.
This is true for every class except about 5 of them.

Late game DPS classes usually benefit more from early game supporter classes or classes with well scaling buffs.

This is the nature of TOS

In another thread have a doppel doing 120k in skyliner.
Tier 0 damage is still potent.

And Doppel gives a boost biased on a %…
Please READ what I say…

he has 2,7k PA without any buff. He used cross cut + Zwerchhau
Example if you take off preparation from fencer your damage will be???
Iis like use preparation + spear lunge + stabbing from hoplite.

Don’t understimate early ranks.

Those skills you listed are ALL skills that work in tandem with or specifically correlate to an early game class…

You said “PLEASE READ WHAT I SAY!”, and you edited you post right now.

To add in “or work in tamdem” because you don’t see, to understand or read what I’m saying
