Question: How does Frenzy work when you are attacking 4+ mobs at once?

It’s the same as long as it’s the same four monsters that you’re hitting for the duration

Again this is made for shinobi clones.
You get 5 clones, you have two hits. Three overheat.
Its actually not meagre for the class its intended for.

If it were 200% That would mean Double Slash would do

2 hits of 3x your physical attack for 6x per cast. Then used by 5 targets for 30x or 36x depending on if its you + 5 clones or you’re considered part of the 5 (probably the latter). On three overheat with a built in 35% crit chance on a 21s cooldown.
…On Swordsman.
Yeaaaah right.

You get your 200 flat. Thats 400 per cast, 5 clones. 2400 extra damage in total per cast, 3 overheat. That’s fairly “in-line” with r7 damage expectations…so long as you are a Shinobi.

I’m thinking of choosing Frenzy over Warcry. Minus 30 def doesn’t seem like a big deal given how def works in TOS

it’s not only -def, the defense reduced from enemies adds up to your attack.
Ex you have 5 enemies around you and your warcry gives -30, that’s about 150 damage for you and -30 def for monsters around

this is what makes barb c3 warcry very strong because you get the attribute that adds targets on C3, the downside is that we still don’t have ktos buff where warcry has 50+ sec cd instead of 80+

if you’re going for barb c3 taking both isn’t a bad idea

Guys, for how long did you farm lizard amber? For 500+ kills, I only got 2 and 1 is from shining upent! WTH!

around 800 upents if i remember correctly

My consensus is that Frenzy is not worth, unless you are going for a build that uses auto attacks often or you are going for Barb3. Even then unless you are auto attacking to build the stacks up, Frenzy is useless. Do we really need a setup phase in our rotation? Wish it worked with skills, then it would be alright.

Warcry is good though, even at 5 points.

I had 2 , farmed 10 ambers in a lil more than 900 kills.

Warcry tooltip lacks too much info. I thought it only decrease 30 def in an AOE and that’s it. Given how def works in TOS, +30 attack doesn’t seem much. But now I know that Warcry - def stacks

First 300 kills, nothing. That’s 3 hours

Next day, 8 hours through the night - 10 Lizard Ambers. Near the Old Well, there’s always an Upent there, change channel and repeat

from what I see it simply change the skill damage from 530 to 730 if you hit bleeding target.
so yeah really the inferior version of skyliner with critical chance -.-

Yeah if your ping is good enough and you’re playing fencer frenzy really isn’t worth the time it takes to stack with auto attacks when you could just be using a 0 cd skill instead. My limited testing (with barb 3) makes it seem like it’s worth stacking it up to 5. 10 is too long and results in a DPS loss. 5 is more DPS, but it’s only marginally better. Like hardly any difference at all when you take the charge up time in to consideration. A single stack (just casting) is alright too because you don’t have to put any extra effort in to it.

This is something I’ve always wondered in general about skills where you have to charge it up strictly for damage – if the wind up time past level 1 is worth waiting. For example, cartar stroke and dragon tooth. Of course it’s worth it if you get something more than just damage out of it (like multishot) but I’m leaning towards the charge time for skills in general just results in overall DPS loss.

Frenzy also has a disadvantage of being a skill you need to actively use. You lose SP and time if the skill has animation akin to Warcry. It also has a short duration, even at level 10, it’s not possible to have 100% uptime. It’s weak burst skill at best.

I would also have to agree about Frenzy and Warcry. ive rolled about 12 swordsman so far 6 with barb variants and i have to say for each of the builds i felt like Frenzy and Warcry just wasnt worth it. They have such high cooldowns. i could use those skills points on helmchopper or pouncing.

I don’t like frenzy much but I really like warcry. If not for offensive abilities, you can use warcry as a secondary swashbuckling if needed. I use it for that purpose all the time
