It is viable build, linker will help you on Dark Theurge melee range and reduce aoe def ratio/extend your ā€œrangeā€ with Pole of Agony.

Few tips:
Wizard - Max Sleep, earthquake no need so high level.
the rest of skills okay.
Maximize your Magic Missile % dmg attribute so you use it until you get warlock.

Cryokinos are great both in PvP and PvE if and only if you know how to use it :slight_smile:
I’m a Cryokino, and i have no problems with PvE and PvP…

Although WizC3>ElementC3>Runecaster is awesome because of Surespell. Quickcast, and I forgot the Attribute Passive skill of Element that i think it increases the attribute damage of Fire, lightning, and Ice attributes. Yes they have long Cast-time but with Quickcast’s help of -50% cast time and +50% damage to attribute damage of the skills casted.
I’ve seen element class in PvE and PvPand they’re incredible!
as what ive said, it depends on how you use it and play it.

What builds use Cryo C3 ?

I want a Necromancer build but I’m not sure how to go about it. My planned build for it would’ve been:

Wizard C3 > Linker > [ Something ] > Necro C2

OR

Wizard C3 > Linker C2 > Necro C2

But would this be viable? Or does Necro need some more oomph and can’t stand alone by itself as a rank 7 option?

For anyone building Ele 3:
Meteor is getting a damage adjustment in Korean server:

Current version: (Matk +3229)4
New version: Matk
4 + 7218 (3082 + 459*skill lever)

Not 100% percent confirm but it is roughly the idea.

My take on this change: Not worth maxing Meteor. Each point increases damage by 459 ( roughly 700 with quick cast) and cast time by 1. I would maxing Hail, Electrocute, etc and left over point into Meteor. Lv 5 is still recommended thou for the AoE increase.

Also consider Psychokino3-Necro2
Some solid CC to let your squishy summons beat on people.

Well the reason I don’t plan on Kino3 is because AI at the moment is really meh. With Linker, even if mobs hit something trash, it’ll still spread to other mobs. With Kino, even if I lock a mob down, my summons might not even target them for a while.

@nightrain_scy Hello, I was wondering about the cryo tank builds, they sound interesting, but so far at the first dungeon I feel pretty weak. I’ve mostly put skill points in int, and a some in wisdom and Con. What skills and passives bonuses are generally used/prioritized? I put most of my skills points so far in icebolt and ice pike.

I’m not sure how much to invest into ice wall, subzero shield, or gust(ice blast doesn’t seem great).

Overall I feel like I constantly run out of mana, am not particularly tanky, and don’t deal great damage, so I assume I’ve screwed up somewhere along the way!

I don’t see any difference on tosbase, what did leveling it before (matk +3229)*4 where is the skill level?

The Korean patch is just in today. tosbase probably hasn’t update yet. Again the information I got is from a data-mined document from the kobt discussion thread.

The formula before was
(Matk+ Base damage, which is 983+259*lvl)*400%

Basically, you get around 1k base damage per level. With the new change, it is around 460 per level. The difference is around 500 damage per level which can be a lot if you consider quick cast and attribute.

wtf… why are they nerfing meteor it wasn’t that great late game anyway because the elites have so much health >_>

Not only meteor but all % damage ability. My guess is to prevent 1 shot happening in pvp

I guess you are talking Wiz1>Cryo3>Thaum2>Featherfoot.
You mean lv50 dungeon? I think it is far from shaped, you still not a tanker yet until you got to Thaum2 with maxed lv50 swell right arm attribute.
So I assume you are Wiz1>Cryo2 now, you can refer cryo skill here.

Be note that you are not truly a tank even at rank7, you will still rely icespike/frostpillar/icebolt/subzero/shrink monster/kurdaitcha to mitigate the damage while using featherfoot to absorb for hp

Be note that iToS and krToS might have different balancing, so we see how is it, but the damage truly reduced by a lot and at same time it give more room to other skills like freezing sphere.
It also seem a bug fix rather than nerf itself, because that was exactly in early skill description.

Meteor, Musk, Cannon, and some other skill base damage changes were bugs.

Idk if they are trying to change the formula, but those skills got a massive damage increase and are being fixed.

The spreadsheet specifically reference Wiz/Cryo3/Ele3, but doesn’t give a whole lot of specifics. How viable is this without quick cast? The bulk of the standard Wiz3/Ele3/lock seems to come from the reduced cast times and +50% damage…

I wouldn’t mind a slight drop in damage efficiency with Cryo3/Ele3 because of the additional utility and CC, but I’d like some insight.

Hey, someone can tell me stats for wiz-cryo-linker2-chrono 3?

Probably con/spirit because int won’t have effect on you because no dmg spells
