Grinding certain materials is now barely possible

Long time ago all you had to do after clearing the area while attempting to drop some mats was switching to other channel, clearing area there and returning to previous channel you were on - repeating that allowed players to get all they need in matter of hours/days, if they are lucky.

Then, most of channels were removed.

Currently, a lot of materials for high-demand weapons are almost unobtainable - mostly due to numbers of players attempting to search for those. This results in stealing mobs, insane material prices on market (over 1m for fossilized lizard amber on Fedimian is a joke) and constant combat for mobs - its hard to grind when there are more players on the map than actual mobs dropping what they need. With drop chance of 1%. And respawn in number of 6 each minute.

Im sure that case is not only about Lizard Ambers, there are a lot more materials like that. And grinding them takes either weeks or a lot of money from your pocket if you are trully desperate.

Is it possible to do something with that? My suggestions would be (either one of options or more):

  • Increased number channels for places where high-demand materials are dropped
  • Increased spawn rate/number
  • Adding high-demand material loot to more than one mob/area
  • Increased drop chance

put in boss/dungeon cube

You forgot that TOS is a casual game?
You shouldnt need to grind for materials then.

I am farming for geppetto leafes for a few weeks now… I just can’t keep it up anymore… this is so sad and annoying… how can the devs not notice this?

Because the player population is still at 4~5k that’s why…you guys complain and complain but still play and buy TP anyway. So what’s the problem here?

Troll somewhere else. I can still try and help out. Abandon the game already if u just want to piss people off. The game is in a shitty state, no ist can deny that… but we can still try to rage about it to get a reaction from the devs

But it’s the truth…your rage will get ignored for a long time…look at how long they took to remove the trade restrictions. Please stop trolling the devs.

i never understand why these games don’t just fill the place up with tons of alternative weapons, with different mats and stuff.

Because the game is still developing. To be honest the game looks like in beta stage.

Man if that’s beta then the whole industry is doomed. It’s more like Alpha-testing the game than beta with all those severe client issues. The game is probably 20-30% “complete” [if you can even use this term for MMOs], and the engines issues are so severe that even implementing new content tends to bring new issues every time.

back on-topic:
The drop system is bad because it is developed for a certain amount of population ingame. If TOS had over 15k stable player rates, the drop system would work wonders. However, due to it being stable and not fluctuating with the current amount of players, it actually makes the game a bad experience. This is basically why so many private server hosters for Ragnarok Online increased EXP and Droprates for their servers, to give the players similar-to-official gaming experience without having the player ressources needed to play the game as intended.

Don’t forget about Galok hunting for some class advances if people started in Klapedia city!

LOL to mats hunting when some poor underleveled guy can’t even get to his next rank.
