Hi, i’m quite amazed at how the game looks, sounds and plays fantastic well. Props for IMC!!!
However, I feel that Critical Hit should receive more “impact”. I feel that critical hits in almost every game, brings a feel that you really struck an enemy in a weak spot, and you should feel rewarded from it, aside from higher damage.
Here is my suggestions!
1- Currently, the floating damage text for critical hits is displayed with a dark yellow color, togheter with a smal “Critical” below it.
I would suggest to make the number bigger, with a better contrasted color, for example, straight orange.
Also, I would suggest to add a visual effect for the critical itself, like a exclamation after the numbers, or a impact icon, for example: ![]()
(this is used on League of Legends).
2- I think the sound effect is quite same when you deal a critical hit and when you deal a common hit. I would suggest to either make the volume higher, or modify current strike sound effects to a heavier, louder sounds to distinguish from normal strikes.
Now, onto the topic of Force Feedback for joysticks, I want to suggest to add a force feedback for:
1- Normal hits, could apply a quick, weak force feedback (25%~30% of vibration intensity)
2- Critical hits, could apply a little longer, stronger force feedback (50~75%)
3- Skills altogheter could also apply a force feedback, and duration could be dependant on the skill itself, for example, Cortar Stroke, while charging, weak and constant force feedback, and when the skill is released and attack doesn’t miss, a strong force feedback.
