ToS isnt the worse MMO to fall from grace. It simply failed the expectations of Ragnarok fans. Ironically most of the fanfare in RO were from the private servers.
Gameplay and art side of things for me has always been 9/10.
Itās just the:
- Lack of content
- Many skills are meaningless
- No end game apart from daily grind
- Idiotically difficult and time consuming gearing process (ET + orange)
- Paywall idiocy
- Many classes still need a lot of ironing out
- No real incentive to go back to old maps except a few monster gems
- Magnum opus ignored since R7 update
- Necronomicon does nothing for the 3 cards
- Card mini-game ignored since day one
- No gathering / crafting
- Item awakening still garbage
- Blatant pay to win even for Western servers
- Constant bugs
- Server instability
etc. and the list goes on

Now if we can just have D&D(Neverwinter Lore), SE(FF-Tactics class system), Blizzard(Diablo gameplay), IMC(Art&Music) and Capcom&Bamco(MH&GE monster AIs) collab dream game.
I wouldnāt mind throwing $20-50 something for monthly sub, not even counting in-game purchases.
I actually want IMC to have a modern retake on MCC(Multiple Character Control). There are a few mmorpgs that run it. The most known one is Granado Espada, I dont know the others but Iām sure there was an attempt at MCC aside from IMC. While the latest title attempting MCC is War of Genesis 4. But so far WoG4 combat seems lame.
Last I heard Cygames is making a mobile game single player RPG with MCC RTS elements. But only a teaser is available and some screenshots.

with this 80ās graphic and very simple mechanics in 2015 AD, causing a phenomenon a few years ago.

I just donāt know what to do now. The game has become really stale with the lack of content over the months. Have ideas on how to improve on the content side of the game that isnāt as major as creating new maps, lore and monsters but am kind of hesitant to actually write and post it.
Cuz it feels kind of futile to post suggestions, findings and ideas when the feedback from the staff and developers are so lukewarm.
Iām tired.

Itās like that in most KR games because their Country has their priorities and marketing tactics ina mess.

ToS was supposed to inherit GEās MCC, it wouldāve been a great way to cope to R8 contentās difficulty, back when it was first released. Too bad initial better plans got scrapped(like the better looking UI interfaced in old beta videos).
It would also give more reasons to roll more characters and allow a bigger raid team(1party:5player:15chars) possibilities for future contents.

Maybe, just maybeā¦ they are still in the game, only that the managment think āHey this is such a neat idea, but we can use it on later patches so that they will be viewed as ānewā content?ā.

Maybe OP just means we as players have to look at the better things in life. Appreciate. Have fun. Just like thatā¦
People lose their minds trying to rush content and then claim there is no content. Seriously, everything has an endā¦ like no matter how much you spend on ToS (or any other game), one day it will die out. People will quit playing. People will stop logging in no matter the reason behind.
Just enjoy it and appreciate what the game has to offerā¦ we are all playing to relax and have fun, am I not right?

I havent heard any of that. The closest thing to MCC ToS got was Centurion (R.I.P.) by controlling other peoples characters in a formation. There were heresay last year that there was a āmercenary contractā similar to GE but speculated to function like PSO2 ābotā partner.
Would Peria Chronicles qualify? your controling your character and a bunch of your pokemons there. But from the mechanics it seems like its battlesystem is turn-based action combat like Valkyria Chronicles.

but there were a paywall in the team storage, it has been lifted. why do you and so many people have 0 faith in this game? i know it got so many things wrong but come on, if they donāt go bankrupt all they can do is get better.

Thereās actually a lot of really cool stuff about ToS that just makes it seem even more of a shame to see such talent wasted on a company that canāt seem to manage their game properly at all.
People asked for a game with no linearity in the early game. They just changed the game so we dont need to spent all the time during the initial levels. Most of the maps with great art design and good music is now completely forgot. ToS was a game with a great idea but a bad release. Right now, the summer is almost over and no big content for the old and new players. Itās sad to say but IMC is not able to keep the players playing their game.
To be fair most western and Japanese made/published games still sells a true fully made game + extras/new content(sold separately).
Only mainly Korean MMO marketing butchers their titles as bad as such just to milk the franchise.
Extra points to JP games since they can regularly pump out extra contents via collabs with seasonal airing anime shows or other games in their country.
at that rate only jToS would be the only be the successful ToS server. Then weāll have to do install english to play jToS patch like PSO2.

You saw nothing.
Put āDisable UIā in a button of easy acess, like āGā for example, or āZeroā to be pressioned everytime without make you get tired. Then With No UI whatsoever between your character and the awesome maps, effects and even background-music that ToS have, like songs of waterfalls in certain locations, you will really enjoy make Quests.
Tooo bad there is no Addon to we choose what we want in the GUI. No mini-map and no bar of HP make āDisabled UI Modeā very useless to be used while making quests or explore, that is why we have to toggle everytime.

I play the game, because I want to āPLAYā the game not to gawk at it. If that was the case I wouldāve watched a movie, anime or something. AFAIK, nobody here discredits the art of TOS, it has been praised as often as possible.
This game has nothing to offer right now.
