I think this pretty much solves all argument about afk farming.

Far from it. It just says that Z-botters has to be handled differently from regular bots. This is why it would be really nice if IMC gave their official opinion on this matter.
Last time I counted, there were 7 threads where people mainly discussed/argued about Z-botting. And people coming into different conclusions depending on how they want to understand that part.
The classifier can deem the afk player innocent, honest play records.
These two means that the player in that situation is innocent and having honest play.
If you are trying to imply that the afk player in second sentence is not the Z-holding afk player in first sentence, then I’m not sure how should I continue any argument, because every statement is now crazily troublesome to interpret.

I actually interpreted it the same way as you but apparently it’s not that clear for everyone and it’s still open for interpretation. I thought they wanted to keep some kind of gray area how much you’re allowed to do it to be still deemed as innocent and having honest playing records. This is rather problematic in itself because then the rules might not be same for everyone.
And I think allowing Z-botting might cause some serious problems within the game later, so I really hope IMC reconsiders this matter. The main concern for me is how it also allows a safe method for gold farming for RMT. You aren’t currently supposed to report Z-botters by using the bot report function at least.
As of current I don’t think AFK Z-farming will cause any problem because it’s inefficient. But yeah, some built in function to prevent these should be implemented.
IMC’s wording is famed to be confusing. Also Terms of use does not state anything regarding afking-z-peanut-butter-and-jam.
What they ought to do is update the Terms of Use, make an announcement, let the reporting of offenders commence.
It’s only confusing to people that hope it’s otherwise. Or rather, they made it sounds confusing to twist the situation to their advantage.

although Z-botting is “grey area”… but it doesn’t mean you can do that freely.
Afk Z-ing will be out of control when ppl like me who can run a sub account on my office PC 24/7 and transfer the legit silver to my main account.
But I hope they will release the legit players now since its not official yet and make an official announcement on this issue.
I doubt there are many (if any at all) innocent players among banned. They can say whatever they want on forums in attempt to clear themselves while the real reason for account suspension will be kept hidden to make it look like its IMC’s fault.

People need to understand that AFK grinding/farming is botting, your playing the game without actually been on it.
So glad they are banning player’s that are doing this!
Using 3rd party software has nothing to do with it, if I put something on my keyboard so that my character auto attacks while I’m at work it would be classed as BOTTING, this is what you were doing and you were rightfully banned.

your own fault for using a bot…
“You shall not abuse or exploit abnormal AI, items or quests to obtain illicit gains.”
This is clearly what you are doing when you are AFK with something holding down your key.
It’s against the Terms of Service and you have been banned for it, hopefully you will remain banned and learn from it.
How pressing “Z” is exploiting anything? OP seems pretty honest to me, if he really got ban for keeping a finger on Z, he should not be banned and that’s it.
There is a huge difference between using a program that makes your character do stuff he shouldn’t be doing and using your fingers to fight your way through the game with something the developers made possible : here it’s the Z attack.
Well in my opinion, they should re evaluate their decision. OP don’t hesitate in sending a report to the GM team, I’m not sure how kind they are or how severe they might be but give it a shot.
It actually reminds me of the MMO Nostale where you could target monsters by pressing the Space Bar and from there, only spam basic attack, it still wasn’t boting as it’s using what the developers offered you to do.
