Like the attribute is why you take Swashbuckling.
Like you’re going to compete against wizard and archer dps with your ‘swag’.
well, I will tell you something that may change your decision.
2 H sword/spear suffers a LOT on battle Guild vs Guild against archers.
With crossguard you can paralise your oponent, but nothing stop him from put on you lots of CC that will kill you in seconds. So only with Peltasta 1 you already can block this archers and have much more chances of survive while the countdown of your main skills are too far to reset.
I’m doing the inverse of what you doing: after being disapointed with the defense of Highlander, going with no peltasta at all, I realize that to keep more chances of survive a need a peltasta and so a new build. But it is because of the LAG. The lag/delay dont allow me to play as the skill had to be, so I die very easily. With only c1 peltasta, I blocked everyhit of 2 archers constantly shooting at me, then I saw maybe I need to think more. (of course, after release the defense I died anyway).
Think about it. Its better to make a build only with 2 hand sword type or take a peltasta to increase the chances of survive in the dificult moments?

Does it cancel the aggro? No. So weapon swap. I thought you said you had swag. Now it seems like you just weren’t bringing any

Was actually gonna post this. Bonus points, you can keep the shield out till the mob is ready for nuking, then switch mid-Seism and watch everything gib. It’s great.
Unrelated to that reply, Swash is usable with daggers as well. Only things that can’t are 2h swords/spears and pistols.
Also, Pelt for r1 Guardian (attributed 10 patk for 18% eva) is actually fairly good, and swap swash still does pull agro so your CDs are less painful.
You could weapon swap. You still get amazing 18% dodge from guardian. You could also go down the Corsair route since you can swash while having a dagger in offhand. Also, manual block is amazing.
Wait, what? Swash can be used with daggers? That sounds like good argument to go PvE with peltasta/corsair, for easy cash grind.
Yep and pistols, if you feel like going Corsair 3.
Smash can be done with pistol? Thats something good to know. I though from wiki that pistol could not be used.
