Generic MMO? or a Great Game?

Hi,

Higher EXP rate Quests = Game Death in 1-3 months, i mean 70-80% of player base leaving.
Boring Grind=Complains (for me is not boring if you play with friends)

So what IMC will do?

I mean if IMC let the people decide, this will die soon because most of them want an easy game like WOW or another generic mmo. And make it quest based with high EXP is not an option.

Ugh idk if troll or bait LOL.
Raise the exp a little bit(NOT AS MUCH AS KOREA CBT). In a month you should be able to get to level 100-140, idk if that’ll be possible with this rate and the exp progression. Or make the grinding start at rank/circle 3, where the player has more options of farming.

Make it easier to level to 100 then slow down the exp gain. At 100 they can experience majority of the game while having a goal to reach higher levels and gears.

I just want to point out, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e6GPtmya3TA&feature=youtu.be takes them 9 minutes to fill 1/4 of the base level bar. It takes us at level 20-30 around 15-20 mins to do so. When u have that many skills ITS FUN to grind, when u can blow up stuff so easily, its fun to grind. At level 20 you’ve barely any skills/mana, so its harder

I think it will be a great game.

It’s only beta testing atm. Meaning they will probably set exp tables to keep players in certain areas longer. I’ve seen it done before. Its pretty effective at keeping players in certain areas because not everyone who gets a key is hunting down bugs but when you lock them in certain regions for a bit, this will increase the likelihood of them running in to one.

It’s not about the grind. It’s about how you grind and is there things to do when you grind.

Say you could itemize really well while grinding or you could do PVP or special Bosses or weakly quests or something.

All these things factor in. It’s not just it’s hard to make it to END LEVEL so the GAMES BORING

Don’t try to use a video made on the last 1~2 days from KR Beta as a metric. They are having EXP event since this Tuesday.

The real EXP rate from kCBT (from day 1), is absolutely fine with enough balance between quest exp and grind for everyone to be happy. Only people playing 12 hours or more per day got ahead (which are mostly streamers). Until Tuesday I doubt 90% of the player base was even level 90 yet (because I wasn’t).

Eh Steparu got to monk circle 2(rank 6 iirc) after 4 days of playing(pretty sure the first 4 didnt have an exp boost? Idk how many days the beta lasted). Do u really think people will get to rank6 on this beta? lol.

not T_T, we need more days

this will be a great game, how tf can u call it generic? many games come out in 3d already and this will come in 2d. this game comes with 80 classes how tf is that generic? u must be high or sumthing

give it some time too coz this game is just in beta, they will probably add more features in the future.

I love it

I love how comfy the controller mode is. art style is ragnarok online+dragon’s crown. Very beautiful to look at.

they just need to keep tweaking balance issues and stomp bugs out.

Tree of savior is very innovative in its gameplay, is very different progression wise as well, and brings important memories to a lot of people.

This game is meant to be a great success. Watch it!

Yeah i will be watching, i have hope in this game

Totally agree with that, don’t bother to farm like now at level 80-100, but at level 30… I’m swordman with thrust, Chung go and concentrate. a little bit boring indeed.
Plus it’s a one-week beta, don’t know what’s the purpose of the test, but certainly not “end game”. Test the limit tolerance to grind for occidental players maybe :stuck_out_tongue:

Sorry, somehow I thought you were talking like they should nerf the EXP on ToS/KR based on that video.

lol

This game has an unique opportunity. A game than can constant reward a player dont get boring. But this type of game usually dont have enough leveling content so they start adding max level content, which is more easier. We have a lot of ranks, hundreds of levels, some nice equipment variations. If they make the exp required curve less of a curve and more linear (i think you get it) than it will be an unique game.

It already has a great core, the gameplay feels great, the expectations around content are being reached. It needs balance and polishment.

I think it is great, but there’s obviously room for improvements. The exp rate is mostly fine also.

The grind is good. It should be a challenge and reward those that party. Max level should be a very very long term goal, not something to reach in just a couple weeks.

This game is a masterpiece. The feeling you get when playing can’t be put on words. The soundtrack, the visuals, the flow of the game is completely making me addict. Don’t worry about the exp curve. Based on what @Satoru said, imc_games is probably just testing a slower exp, they must already have the “proper” rate.
