Generic MMO? or a Great Game?

Just read the first post

The solution for this is: High (Not so high… but not so low too) EXP for quests. This way casual players like me will continue playing the game. If you base everything just in grinding, the game will be just for “gamers”. And if people want just grinding, the answer is obvious: Just grind, don’t do quests.

any exp rate that will need a month of straight leveling to reach max lvl and good mid game equips.

people need to understand exp rate isn’t everything about the game … having high exp rate doesn’t make the game “dead”… what makes the game dead is " not having repeatable endgame content"

that’s true … just not in beta … we need to rush through content in beta because we have limited days of testing … we will never test rank 5-6 classes before release if this exp rate is gonna stay the same

Yeah, my “solution” is for the game itself, not the beta :3

It’s probably like this cause they wanted to test out the servers first and make adjustments before testing the end game contents.

Maybe adding equipment in between lvls like lvl 20, 30 and so would make the game feel less grindy thanks to the feeling of progression

The grind needs to be lessened, but there also needs to be more options for grinding too. You’re limited to a few areas to grind and most are packed with players so it sucks.

Fun fact: Getting to level 80 is less than 1% of the way to level 300 in terms of exp gained. And level 300 is probably less than 10% of the way to max level.

I agree, more maps = more fun.

For some games like Path of Exile, the game is basically finding ways to grind really fast/grind cheaply at high level areas. In PoE there’s many ways to do that and there are many unique items there that drastically change playstyle/enable builds. At the levels we’re stuck at in iCBT there’s very little room for experimentation and the purple/blue items are very dull and don’t give any particularly interesting bonuses.

Everyone who has played older grindy MMOs like MapleStory/RO/RuneScape knows that there’s going to be a grind in this game, but a grind at such a low level is really boring when you have no way to innovate and experiment.

I hope that they dont make the game TOO casual . Listening to players is fine cause it brings more people in but this is usually the CASUAL GAMERS who are usually in and out of MMO’s. Elitists on the other hand dont want this and i have to say that games benefit more from Elitists due to the fact that they do complete alot of things, Spend more time in game and mostly spend on In Game Shop items too.

I guess I’m a casual gamer for wanting to play multiple characters on this game and not having to focus on only 1 for a year only to find out that I hate my class overall in the end and wouldn’t want to do that long, boring grind over again.

Ok, you have 4 options:

1- Wait some time hoping for a private server with high rates.
2- Move to another game.
3- Stay and enjoy the game just as they created it.
4- Pray for higher rates (that will not happen i hope).

This kind of people are invading all the games even the shooters with cheats.

If you need to be max level in 1 month or less in a mmo you are doing something wrong ( you are just not enjoying the whole game with the people on it ) is like when people cheat when they get bored or worst when they are eager to win always.

This post is hard but true. What they need is a psychologist.

How about you pray for lower rates. You’re acting like you won’t play the game if they have increased rates, lol. And why even talk about private servers on a public forum?

People are gonna be max level within a 1 month regardless of the grind, you fail to realize that. Lol.

Wow @FreeMan, you’re a bit of a drama queen aren’t you? You know that different people have different ways to enjoy the game, right? There’s a huge difference between enjoying a challenge and a bit of a grind and what we have in place right now. I’m pretty sure they just nerfed the exp gains for the CBT so that people would have incentive to thoroughly test out the lower level content.

As for the game itself, I think it has a lot of potential. The translations are super wonky and the plot is about as well-written as 50 Shades of Gray, but the combat is pretty fun, the classes are interesting and fairly diverse, and there’s a good amount of variability in boss fights as well. This game has a lot of room to grow, but in a good way, and considering it’s only in Closed Beta I say it’s in a pretty decent spot right now.

If that happens i will leave in 1-2 months when i reached max level.

bye then, go play some other grindfest MMO pls
