General etiquette for dungeons and missions - let's make queues great again!

Can you please add:

 • Pardoners, stop spamming your dumb MDEF buff when all the bosses are PATK.
 • Clerics, pay attention to the buffs count. If you see you already have 7-8 buffs on, why do you feel it’s useful to use your useless Aspersion ? And Monstrance ?

If I see a party with builds that most likely will have lots of buffs I’ll use a Daino scroll so everybody will be happy.
But it pisses me off so much when the person who spams all their useless buffs doesn’t even use one. It’s not even about using the buffs, it’s the fact they overwrite good ones for useless ones.
Another thing for cleric/priest in the 50s dungeon… if you end on a party with other cleric/priest check who has the highest buff and let that person do it…

I have had to yell at the party to let me bless instead of them.
THAT. THAT. THAT.
Please.
I have a Priest and a Krivis, I always want to cry when they overwrite my better buffs… Please. I’m SPR and my Zalciai/Stone Skin is a higher level than yours, let me do it.

Think more, people.
Pay attention to your party, to the people in it.
DPS, when you’re suddenly dying, don’t run for your life. Run towards the heal tiles or the FS toon.

THIS! FFS! hahaha. it eats a lot of potential damage from Zaibas too. Packing Newbs! :rage:

Hard not to buff Aspersion when you use it for damaging. =p
But it’s fine for me, I took Krivis C1 just so I can fully support my party without worries.

Aspersion doesn’t do much damage… I think mine hits for ~1700 - 2k…

lets talk about the biggest most important etiquette of all that no one does

letting the dead dps come back before killing the boss

How about the dead anybody?

Gonna have to strongly disagree here. Defense reduction targeting monsters may be near useless yes, but adding physical/magical defense to players (as well lowering enemy attack i.e max lethargy+lv50 attribute) is extremely helpful due to how player defense works and how enemy attack damage is calculated. Aspersion is arguably the the most beneficial (and universally applicable) priest buff [especially at] late game next to a full spirit stoneskin and the new ktos blessing (which we don’t have yet), and any serious support cleric should strongly consider maxing it.

If a priest isn’t using Aspersion, and if your defense isn’t high enough to notice a difference with it on (especially if it’s from a high-end pardoner shop), then you are doing something SERIOUSLY wrong my friend.

im sorry but those buffs are absolutely useless when there are way better buffs that help with clearing the dungeon faster.

Max Aspersion adds 48%… I’m wearing 220+ armor and have ~ 200 def… That adds 100

Dmg = Atk - Def… So for something that hits you for 2k it reduces the damage you take by 5%… That’s pretty meh…

For general questing/solo grinding it’s super handy as it reduces your HP pot/heal needs

Wut? Even if that’s partly true most people care about killing the bosses faster, in which case the attack buffs take priority. Unless you’re 10+ levels below the boss, and even then that puny defence will not help when you’re taking 5k per hit.

You’re right but incredibly wrong at the same time. Player defense directly reduces monster base attack yes, but the thing is monster base attack is actually surprisingly low; monsters actually have many multipliers that create the damage we see when hit, so player defense/monster attack reduction actually makes a huge difference. For example, on-level mission bosses should generally be hitting you for 1~400 damage with even just white plate armor at +0 (1-100 if you have ledas shield on a dps) at most level ranges if you have LV15+ Aspersion on…

From the sound of your stats I’m gonna guess you’re using cloth atm, since my lvl177 priest has 387 defense with a white 170 plate top/botttom at +0 and ledas shield. Not using plate is a huge mistake, especially since plate mastery reduces damage further and can give you 1k+ extra hp if you max it.

But yeah, there’s no mistake in how armor upgrades become risky at +3 compared to weapons at +5; player defense is somethin’ fierce.

Aspersion is a good enough buff. Just like Reflect Shield on a SPR Wizard. =p
I wouldn’t max it for the sake of the defense buff though because of Pardoners. Only max it if you go Chaplain.

And for my Full Support Cleric Aspersion is pretty much the only thing with which I can deal damage so I certainly won’t stop using it. The only thing you need is 100% Daino Upkeep, then you can take Swift Step, Reflect Shield and Aspersion without worry and get a good damage reduction with all combined.

Now if we get a group without any Krivis (and nobody brought Daino scrolls either), then I guess it’s better to focus on damage buffs + Stone Skin / Revive only.

Sorry but Reflect Shield is crap (even with SPR) and Aspersion is negligible damage. If you’re adding puny damage at the expense of other DPS oriented buffs, then you’re not doing a good job at “full support”. Without a Krivis, these things have to go.

The Swift Step party share attribute should never have been a thing to begin with. Oh the pains I take to convince some archers that the crit buff isn’t shared.

In the early game, revive/stoneskin > aspersion. My highest is only 219, even then I feel the same. Buff slots are tight. Most priests ive grouped with do not have krivis, which I think should be a requirement going priest but thats another topic.

Can’t get on to check my exact armor value, but I guess I did forget the def from level.

230/2 = 115

220 white plate = ~200

315 * 0.5 = 157

For a total of 472.

Still seems underwhelming… While Aspersion itself “scales” def doesn’t really scale well.

With Daino I wouldn’t turn down Aspersion… But I’ve had other priests overwrite much more important things with it… Like Revive, always revive.

Most good priests are probably banking on using daino scrolls at endgame content.

Think royal guard pants is around 122. 4 plate set will also give you 10% damage reduction.

Either way though, just from the way you talked about damage I can tell you didn’t understand how it worked and haven’t seen a proper setup in action yourself. I wouldn’t have bothered posting if I didn’t know from experience as well that it can regularly make mission bosses hit you for as low as 200-300 damage if you have plate armor, and as low as 1 damage if you have a shield.

Just buy it from a pardoner and check it out next time you mission (you also won’t need to rely on revive as much if you have it btw).

Most good priests now that one circle of krivis on a spirit build is amazing. Along with the fact that daino lasts alot longer. Sorry but paying 7k a pop for lvl 6 daino scroll is not happening, maybe in 2 years when im sitting on 200+ million credits with all attributes maxed with best of the best gear.

Swordsman be nice to your Peltasta and turn your provoke attribute off. If multiple Pelts then make it a point to just ask “Hey do you wan’t to tank or want me to?” Its an mmo heaven forbid you have to be social and ask a simple question

Swiftstep attribute should be off all the time or never leveled in the first place since it only helps archers, won’t share the A2 crit attribute, and oh yeah pretty much every Archer has switft step already and won’t miss it for that short time that its on cooldown.

Any class with damage over time please be mindful of your party composition and don’t overwrite your teammates bleeds or poisons and other DOTs. For you Fletchers who are partying with other Fletchers you can alternate broadhead arrow and just keep it up constantly. Just pay attention to the bosses states and when the other Fletcher’s bleed is about to end.

Also to the fletchers out there. When you see the tree eating something and throwing up that shield. Please cast bodkin arrow so you can remove the bosses shield.

If there’s no peltasta in the group and you end up being the DPS who has aggro then be generous with how you position the boss. Since there is no Peltasta you by default get to be the tank. I end up in this situation frequently on my Fletcher. My method of doing that is keep the boss facing me at 12 o’clock when the boss is about to attack I stop damaging and jump to 3 o’clock so I can avoid the attack. I alternate between 12 and 3 o’clock. The rest of the group or at least the smart ones will be alternate between 6 and 9 o’clock staying at the bosses back to avoid attacks. Elemenalists, Pyros, Sappers and other people with stationary aoes will love you. Swordsman and Clerics will love you cause they don’t have to chase the boss around struggling to deal their damage. Don’t be like that one Wugushi that we’ve all encountered at some point! The one who kites the boss across the entire map while everyone struggles to deal their damage.

Also I cringe when I see people casting meteor or other high base, high cooldown, high cost spells on the pile furniture at the very beginning. For those who don’t know the furniture just has a certain number of hits it needs to take. Use your multihit moves and don’t waste meteor or cannon blast or whatever nuke you have in your arsenal on a single hit to the pile.

When you are partying with a Dievdirbys, please for the love of Laima stay within the statue radius.

When World Tree is set up, DON’T BLOODY PULL THE MOBS AWAY

When Owls are put up, DON’T PULL THE MOBS AWAY FROM THEIR FIRING RANGE, pull them into the firing range

When you’re partying with a Bokor, when they put down the zombify magic circle, try to pull and kill the mobs on the magic circle. Although it may kill fps for the whole party rip in rekt then.

When hexing is cast on a boss and they want to use effigy… DON’T PULL THE MOFOKING BOSS AWAY FROM THEM, they’ll have to run and catch up and it cuts the DPS.

Also if you are a Linker, PLEASE LINK MOBS SO BOKOR’S CAN DO LOTSA DAMAGE THX.

When a Cryosroc or Cryochrono is in the party make sure they stick close to the nearest taunter for quick and easy frost pillars. It helps.
