Gem Leveling - Pure Insanity?

Okay, So I just leveled a gem to rank 6 and I thought that 43k exp was pretty damned high. However, in order to level the gem to rank 7 I am going to need 173k exp… So, assuming that the formula stays consistent, rank 8 is going to take 691k exp and I don’t even want to think about how many millions I’m going to need to get to rank 10.

So far the only place I have been able to find that allows me to level up a gem at any kind of decent pace is in Demon Prison 2. I could earn about 5-10k exp an hour or so depending on luck and how crowded the area is.

My question is… Is there any way to reasonably level up a gem? Or would I really have to spend months literally only leveling ONE gem in order to max just that ONE gem out?

“Endgame” is earth tower and leveling gems.

Get used to it.

too early for min maxing, stay with lvl 5 gems and be happy

Do Demon Prison 2 drops anything that’s worth more than 5 xp? Because I would advice you farming the low level maps (lvl 1-10) where monster respawn is instant.

yup agree with this man. stay at 5 and socket it to all your equips.

Level 6 is the highest to reasonably level a gem at this time. I assume giving the incredible stats available at level 10, it is not intended for you to reach that high so early in the game (280 out of a theoretical 500), which is why the req gem xp is so outrageous.

There are high level gem abrasives in the game files, I imagine they will drop from further end game content (these give a lot of gem xp).

Also I think the thought process is that as the game goes on longer, there will be more and more high lvl gems circulating in gear. Since gems only reduce 1 level when unsocketed from equipment people will start to make a conscious effort to reuse gems for other equipment or to use for experience for other gems.

But still, for all the effort of getting a level 10 gem, the cost doesn’t seem worth the benefits. Who knows where late game min maxing will take us though.

600 lvls?! 600 lvls!!.. jesus christ. 600 lvls… and i wish to lvl 3 supports, 1 tank and 1 dps… my suffering will be eternal.

There already are, gem’s lv1 give 100 exp to gems.
At 130~150 dun i dropped some lvl2 gem’s they give 300 exp.
So we can assume in higher levels we can drop higher lvl gems that give more XP.

Does anyone have a link to charts showing what benefits gems give at every level? Tried searching but couldn’t find anything that seemed up to date.
