Gem abrasives are different to gems and are used for the sole purpose of giving gems xp. But you are right, higher level gems will also drop at higher levels.

Yeah, I was hoping there would be a dungeon or some kind of spot where I could farm some mid level abrasives, but that doesnât seem to be the case. It looks like I will probably just stick with level 5 gems at the moment.
monster gems were supposed to give alot more exp too but i guess in iTOS they were all nerfed to a fixed exp rate
Correction on Green gem level 6 on secondary weapon it should be 42. not 32
