Gameplay Feedback from casual player

Well I define myself as a casual player but sometime I can become hardcore, my play time vary because of my works, hobbies. Some weeks I can play 3 days in a row others week I can play only a day.
Another Note : I Didn’t experience lvl 300+ content and I didn’t do much PVP or guild stuff.
Anyway this topic is about some systems that disturb a bit.

#1 The DPK system; Since a while players say that this system is actually a thing in this game.
For people who doesn’t know what it is. Its a fixed drop on monster depending on the amount of them killed in the same channel, it reset after server maintenance or when the channel crashe.
This system has too much restrictions, especially for monster gem. If a monster have a spawn rate of a few minutes its just impossible to kill 10000 of them before the server maintenance.

With this server reality, there is not a huge population on every map like ktos, so monsters gem need quite a huge deal of work starting after the server maintenance.

I want to farm gem. But the only solution I see to get one with my real life time spending is to actually have a necro afk there and keep track of the amount of monster killed, or to just RMT the item or pay a huge amount of silver to make someone else farm it for me. It doesn’t make sense.

I feel like this system encourage some hardcore grinding and is leading toward abuses.

Possible solutions :

  • 1 Make the server save the monster counts at many time in the days.
  • 2 Remove the whole DPK system, and use a random function.
  • 3 Put a 100% rate drop on a monster that you can exchange for the item being on DPK.

#2 Field Bosses spawn Mechanic.
I’ve talked about this before, 1 person have to stay in a channel for 4 hours in order to spawn them. With the probability of getting nothing from it in case people know the timer. Timer reset if channel crashe. This system encourage again AFK farming. I think you wanted that people who are farming on map actually get a good chance to kill those field bosses. I believe it is not the best system and should be changed.

Possible solutions
1 - Add a summoning quest just like Kubas for every field bosses.
2 - Reduce the spawn time by 50%

#3 Quests
People tend to do quests area solo, and when people group together it seem that most of them are not at the same point in those quests so it discourage them from doing them. I would like to see some Repeatable Fields Party Quest that can only be done in group with a level restriction. It would encourage questing in party.

Possible Solutions :

  • 1 Add a party quests post on many fields.
  • 2 Make some interesting quests that can only be done with a full party.

#4 Bots.
The first area like Tenet Church have too much bots and they keep farming rare gears. Which make them even harder to get for legit players.
Possible Solutions

  • 1 remove the items from monster and add another way to get them.

#5. Dungeon matching problems, not many player do them at same time. Absurd amount of time waiting.

Possible Solutions

  • Put incentive based on time, on a fixed hours there is +% exp +% silver in the dungeon/missons. So that some people wait to do it on that time. And is more likely to find people
  • Make the ability to queue dungeons and missions from anywhere.

right! @STAFF_Ethan tell it that just cause you are hard all the time and have your hands too full to post regularly of forum, it doesn’t mean you or the others are made of stone…

We’ll pass the ideas to the dev team, but please understand that we can’t make any promises that they will be considered/implemented due to various reasons. There are quite a few things that have to be taken into consideration that may not be obvious from the end user’s perspective.

That being said, the dev team does sometimes use ideas in a changed form or just concepts etc from user suggestions, so keep the ideas coming! :slight_smile:

In response to the suggestion in this thread, the DPK system should be individual based, not channel based. It’s extremely unfair for a player to farm 9,900 monsters by himself and lose the Gem drop to another player.

Everything mentioned here were suggested long ago but were ignored. Few months later, we get this tyfy feedback thing…

Now we know the staffs are not made of stone…I’m guessing they are made of wood.
