I really never could understand why mmo players want to make a game to last forever. You make it sound like an investment to play a game.
Kinda is. MMOs demand huge time investments from the player. What good is it in the long run if the time investment is meaningless? People play MMOs with caution these days because they donât want their huge time investments to mean absolutely nothing.
Itâs ironic cuz playing games ARE a waste of time, however MMOs make players feel as if they are progressing and achieving things and they want to feel like these achievements in the game mean something and arenât just going to be squandered by a companyâs neglect/cash grabbing.

You play to enjoy this game.
You invest time and maybe a bit of cash on the gameâŚ
Game starts to develop cancerâŚspreads fast.
Game becomes boring⌠ppl leave⌠no one to play with.
Server shuts down.
Fun is goneâŚTime and money wasted.
Start anew and Find new game to waste time and money on,

I can look past almost every negative trait of this game, but itâs in IMCâs best interest breath some life into the game via events, or heaven forbids, content updates.

Exactly⌠though at this kind of time it might just be to lateâŚ
if it was 2 months or 3 months back during the hype it would have workedâŚ
But IMC was to indecisive and landed up messing it all up
I guess thatâs why I am a casual player. I donât see it that way. Games to me is just a cheap form of entertainment, I just canât bond to it as others do.

See the thing is, Iâm also playing ToS casually. Iâm actually logged in right now questing and stuff, ignoring the problems with the game. But it still bothers me watching how unhappy a lot of people are with the game because I am also a huge social gamer and I really enjoy the âMMOâ part of the MMORPG.
I feel as if my overall fun with the game over time is threatened by the unhappiness of the players and the amount of players quitting the game. I can only sit around soloing without friends to chat with and do things together for so long before an MMORPG loses meaning to me.
I see where you are coming from AntiFapist but I still canât relate to it. If the game gets shut down, Iâll just go play something else for fun. Thatâs about it.
But to me it sounds like going to the movies. When I go to the movies I just pick a show that I like and watch it. I donât really care if the movie turns out bad or not. I got to go see a movie and thatâs about it. But I have a buddy who sometimes I go with and he always takes his time to pick what he wants. He read the online review and check the box office statistics. He wonât just watch a movie by just looking at the poster display. And he always tell me which movie I should watch and which I shouldnât. And yeah, sometimes it is annoying because we always watch the movie he wants to watch. haha.

Lol thatâs too stressful for me Flan. Honestly, I never think of it that way. So I just donât worry about it. Different gamer has different point of view I suppose.

Know that people who still like this game might actually be enjoying playing it rather than complaining on the forums. Aside from some inconveniences Iâve personally had no game breaking experiences. (Though maybe my tolerance is just a bit high lol)
If you feel like the game doesnât offer you much anymore, maybe take a break, play another game or even go outside. XD At least, thatâs how I feel about it myself. Getting angry will only make me grow grey hair sooner.

This is a profile just made for the purpose of complaining in a way that is counterproductive, scares away new players and makes everyone lose their time reading on a ton of negativity⌠seriously⌠If you gave up on the game, and it no longer gives you any satisfaction, do yourself a favor and leave. Time invested in games is SUPPOSED to be leisure/enjoyment⌠I donât understand.
Now, I get it, if you want to complain about a certain game feature, a bug, the damn bots, whatever. Flame on! But this? âTHE RAPTURE IS COMING!!!â Nothing happens at most, you scared a child. Pointing out the game is losing part of its player base is absolutely useless, considering even if IMC is just trying to get a payday, the first thing they check is their player numbers. It;s the one thing mr. IMC manager sees early in the morning, he doesnât see bots, reviews or anything else before that, be sure of it. Then who are you complaining to? those who left? those who scare away new players? ohâŚ

@FlanFlan you and a few more âpower usersâ of this forum certainly give it balance. Youâre right this is a time investment, and yes, IMC could do much better in many ways. It bothers you seeing people so unhappy, and I get it, but do consider, if in the great balance of things the game leaves them worse off, they can and will move on. I personally find the quirks manageable although i recognize you guys have been here for far longer, but the game gives me more than it takes from me, value in entertainment hours and if it goes well, some sense of accomplishment from time to time (ahhh playing swordie you have to embrace challenge). If it gets so bad I donât get community/entertainment/accomplishment and my time is better spent somewhere else, then Iâll say my goodbyes, but as things stand, itâs far from it.

Doesnât help that IMC does zero advertising. I hope at least once theyâre more confident with their balance etc, theyâll do some more advertising.
(With the low mob density and spawn rate, I donât really want more players though. Wish we could just all get full exp like GW2

You guys can say whatever you want, you can deem the game dead with 10k+ players(wonder how many of these are bots)
I can only speak for Fedimian, but i made yet another new character and reached Fedimian town, only found one bot on the last floor of Tenet Chapel.
I still got alot more maps to check out, i know ive missed finding some bots.
But they were really easy to find before.
I believe ToS will get better, ill believe till the very end!

Once Indonesia, Taiwan, etc server opened they sticking on their local servers with better build and knowledge with same cycle above. Really, there is more than just population decreased not from people purely leavingâŚ

Iâm not losing hope on this game. Iâm pretty sure they will release a new cleric costume that is not fat. they also have a few months to recover. In MMOs there are fans and players, some will stay and some will go. You just need to pick which one are you.

This is imho the #1 reason the game is losing players. A big chunk of this community doesnât bring anything useful to the forums. They only troll, post memes and whine about how much the game sucks.
But this game doesnât suck. Just because the game doesnât have enough content for you, doesnât mean it sucks. I really enjoy the game and the few people I play it with.
I also like the forum members that are contributing in usefull discussions and sharing their experiences with builds, skills etc.
If everybody would just stop trolling the forums with yet another âthis game sucks/is deadâ topic, we would have a much nicer place to stay!
