Imagine yourself as a member of STAFF, what steps would you take to avoid this player dropout?
You can not use the measures currently in progress
Add a daily queue for level 280+ where the system places you into a level 50-230 queue that is looking for someone. Reduce their damage a bit.
In exchange for completing the dungeon the level 280+ is given the exp equivalent of 5x Saiui missions and 1 blessed cube. Their damage to Bosses is greatly reduced until the boss HP falls below 90% (to prevent rushing)
This can only be done once a day. Dungeon reset scrolls have no effect on this.
The attribute cost for Rank 1-4 class skills is reduced 30%.
Spend some time on Pvp.
When Characterâs reach rank 5, Apply a skill and stat reset. Ranks 1-5 will as such be seen as basically your introduction to Tree of savior. This reset is automatic and not distributed through potions.
Iâm speaking as Kdevs.
None, since staff donât have power to do a thing as one of them stated it on a GM meet up.
I would have logged in during midterms to do this.
TP: First of all just get rid of the regional system and let another service do that so when you buy TP it can be used freely on any server or character from a menu in game. Then make it actually work without problems so nobody has to send a ticket clogging an already backed up support system and staff.
Items: They are sorta heading the right direction already with itemization filling in gaps slowly with the Hunting Grounds. Now what they really need to stop doing is make things that -should- be tradable or swapped freely between characters like costumes able to do so and other things not which ruin the economy.
UI and Gameplay: Fix things which really annoy people instantly playing the game at any point like the mouse bug or crashes. This type of stuff is just not acceptable to persist longer than a week.
Class balance: Work on this slowly over time with lots and lots of testing along with the PVP system and rewards.
Then being transparent, consistent, and honest after that to players instead of the current shady shadow government approach because things are so bad you canât even come out and say it.
players will back at rank 9 if balanced and fixed.
soon tm.
The overwhelming majority of players who left are not rank 8 or 330
Iâd be surprised if they were rank 6.

Iâd set up a weekly meeting about a half hour before maintenance to talk and hang out with players in game or on the forums about their concerns or any pressing problems that the staff were not aware of. Or just to hang out. Maybe do a quick hide & seek event or something.
-
Iâd make a formal presentation to the higher ups about the playerâs concerns and the staffâs concerns about the gameâs population. Especially about the neglect the iToS server has when it comes to feedback about player concerns, transparency and a comparison between things the company had stated it would have done and the time line of how much has actually been accomplished so far.
-
Get the cash shop fixed up so that players actually feel like spending their money so that there is a better budget for the game. Putting costumes in the main TP shop as well as the exchange for a reasonable and consistent fee.
-
Events without timed rewards. Events that arenât just about expâwho doesnât like the reduction on attribute costs when they happen? Maybe something that requires the whole server to work together to achieve milestones (idk, maybe for every so many candies handed into an npc, thereâs a server-wide bonus unlocked).
-
Get PvP and GvG on track asap. They are a major draw for players who arenât just into grinding all day.
-
Make a semi annual rank reset given out to all active characters that expires in 30 days.
-
Encourage group content with actual difficulty that involves adjusting the AI of bosses and monstersâthough this would be a long term improvement to the game. It used to be more fun. Put back in the party events and other things that made us want to go out in groups instead of being forced to by mobs that take no damage and steamroll players. Thatâs not hard. Thatâs annoying.
-
Reduce the amount of quests in most areas so that players arenât inundated by hundreds of unfinished quests. Move stuff more to the achievement system to reward completionists instead of collecting more flowers.
-
Improve pet AI. Every hunter I know has a love/hate relationship with the class because of what it COULD be rather than what it is. I am fairly sure other pet classes could use some tweaking still as well (why is my shaggoth so slow?)
-
Monitor the forums and find ways to help reduce the fires and encourage a sense of community among the players.
-
Invite players to suggest their own ideas and concerns by actually acting upon them. If players are repeatedly complaining about something, it needs to be looked at. There should be communication about the process too. I loved seeing the updates from the devs/whomever about what was being worked on even if I knew I wansât going to see it for weeks/months. (Take a look at how FFXIV presents upcoming content, they are a great example of how to handle information and hyping up players for new things).
-
After reducing the amount of quests and diversifying the types of quests, it would be nice if the dialogue options were more engaging. The GitHub group has done a great job translating things but you all need to hire an editor of some sort to go back through and clean up text.
-
Add more fluff content that doesnât revolve around gear, dailies, or pvp. Let me grow a garden or raise a pet. Put in some sort of casino in the game. Let people do races with their mounts. There are tons of things that could be added to make things more interesting. Make an alternative to guilds that let players socialize more. Put a tavern in the game that has a card game that players can play that isnât RNG based, so that we have a place to socialize when weâre tired of running around killing the same boss that we have for the past 3 weeks in missions.
-
Treat the players as something more than an income resource and perhaps actively support the add-on community so that we get more interesting add-ons that help make the game better. Even something so simple as having a forum section for it would be a step in the right direction.
-
Encourage new players with fun content and incentives to actually continue playing. The new player/new character experience really needs to be streamlined. Thereâs tons of maps that are fun and pretty to look at but with bosses that die in .5 seconds to one fireball⌠whatâs the point of doing quests?
Just my 2 cents.
Add gacha cubes that have more cute costumes and accessories.
1.- Make a stat system that make sense and scales towards higher levels⌠like instead of 1:1 def, make it by percentages⌠or make spr useful by adding matk in less extent, or something in those lines
2.- Better rewards for carry low lvls in a dungeon, like double cube or somethingâŚ
PS: 1.- Stop misinterpreting the steam chart first⌠we have low numbers but not 3k overall⌠one thing is average online, and another thing is overall individual ip/steam account over a period of time⌠so stop overreactingâŚ
- Add outfits to the event reward pools.
- Further performance optimizations.
- Unify dungeon queue.
- Can queue from anywhere, for any dungeon that you meet the minimum level req for.
- Queue persists when switching between zones.
- Players stats (including hp) will be scaled down while exp will be scaled up when doing a lower level dungeon.
- Random dungeon option that doesnât count towards the normal dungeon limit, can be done once per day. Places you in a dungeon queue that has the longest combined total wait time between all users queuing for it.
- Merge Klaipeda & Orsha servers?
- Cross server auction house?
So many good suggestions, but will the devs even care? Past experience shows suggestion threads all go nowhere.
Thank you so much for your marvelous suggestion. Firmly will pass our team to read it. ⌠

I know you guys work hard. Youâre one of my favorite members of Staff because you always have a cheerful attitude
ęł ë§ěľëë¤ for your hard work and effort.
w-what about my suggestion?
This game needs optional cross-region queue for all PVE contents to help with peak-time queueing problem.
CâonâŚ
PvP all day long⌠What are you waiting for?
Plus, make pve harder, for real, make it so hard we cannot do alone.
This will force players to team up = not being bored.
Remember rag?
In later lvls it was impossible to lvl up without a team.
That teamwork was the thing.
Proposed many times but many players prefer low ping or not play at all
Allow the players that have skills to help the staff fixing the game, who knows someone will be good at it?. Or make the forum is the place where staff can be Inspired.
Balance the class and mobs. So player will have a fun time playing the game, rather than making them say something like âWhat heck did I just play?â or âDid I just do something wrong here?â.
Show the players that they are been listened.
Fixing some game mechanics. Some like the drops and calculation needs a serious attention, so player are comfortable with it.
Make the NPCâs more lively. Some NPC have a potential to have a important place in the game. Instead just being a decoration, some NPCâs can be a good place for the game features.
Make more mini games. People can get bored sometimes.
Add some secrets to the game. Add some secretâs or easter eggs to the game will make some players have their time in the game. Donât make it too easy and also hard, and also give them a reward for finding the secretâs.
If we get half of this suggestions ToS would be one of the best MMORPG to play nowadays.
