Thanks a lot for your input, that was really my intention.

Everyone knows that Ele 3 is good, the thing is I simply don’t like it, you take your 6 ranks and dump it into the two obvious choices, +50% matq for the first three and ground casted multihit spells for the second.

If I wanted to play like this I’d go to any other MMO that doesn’t let me choose my real class path, any DPS wizard there would feel like Wiz3Ele3 anyways.

I really feel like this post is only a bunch of people trying to prove how much better Elementalist (even though I said it may be bad on the future but is the best DPS set right now) is and don’t even really care to read the whole topic, If they only made the calculations they would see how great is the number of hits I can deal on single targets and how Linker is good at affecting that.

Anyway, both Linker and Sorcerer are Hard to play, and it’s easy to see why, if you don’t use every single skill of the class and understando how to make the best use of them you will always feel weak. It’s not just a class that puts a blue circle on the ground hope/wait mobs to die.

I think you invited the ■■■■ storm by not just posting an alternative build, but by insulting all the players who choose to go with the most popular build indirectly.

There is a difference between saying, “Here is a build I figured out, and I like it for these reasons,” and “If I wanted to play [as the most popular build] I’d go to any other MMO that doesn’t let me choose my real class path.”

I do appreciate that you are very active on the forums, and with a thick skin posts like yours don’t bother me. But you have to admit that you are being a bit condescending AND some of your theorycrafting is based on unknowns. That’s all.

He didn’t insult anyone, he mentioned wiz3ele3 because he didn’t want people spamming this thread with “wizele is better lol”.

What I stated were simply my reasons for not taking Ele 3. Most of it skills are bad and everyone knows that but it is true that Frost Cloud will be a good skill until rank 10, even if it becomes some sort of filler it will be the best pre rank 7 filler.

This is an alternative, alternative exists because there is already a main one. I, as a wizard player from most MMO’s I’ve played feel like this game had the awesome lots of classes ideas but you still can only use 2 to make a DPS. Yes, Wiz 3 > Ele 3 is the best DPS for PvE right now in the game and no one is sure it won’t be in the future.

Do you think changing warlock to featherfoot would make the build much worse?

Yes, Featherfoot has huge SP consumption, doesn’t work with Sorc at all, like 1k SP from 1 skill. You can’t manage all that together.

For featherfoot I’d go with one of these builds:

  • Wiz 3 > Kino 3 > FF (most likely)

  • Wiz 3 > Linker 2 > Thauma > FF (almost full INT and get the best out self HP healing with very high CON, impossible to get without transposing high INT)

Not really sure though, haven’t researched much into FF.

firstly thx for sharing the build and your vast knowledge and experience on the matter.

i was indeed looking for a sorc build that uses temple shooter and you pretty much covered a very good build with lots of convincing arguments to make a case for it.

i understand it’s not the top dps build, but i want to play a class that uses temple shooter :} and this seems like a good long term build that is solo pvp/pve content which is exactly what i am aiming for.

Anyhow… my previous build in CBT was a pyromancer, so the gear i was told to get back then was fire+ legendary with an arche dagger. But for your build, i’m at a lost for what gear i should be aiming for. I would love your input regarding wut sort of equipment armor/weapons i need to be finding :{

thanks, Arde Dagger is good for any wizard, not only pyromancers, elemental property attacks are added to each skill’s hit and even Z attacks.

You can take those points away from either Reflect Shield or Surespell, you don’t have skills with cast time so surespell can only have use on future contect, which is not even “real” right now.

Reflect Shield is something a lot of people think is bad and I think it can be useful for PvP, you don’t really need it.

Can you give us some more details on your thoughts on Wiz 3 > Kino 3 > FF?

My understanding is that FF really needs linker to work.

I’ve seen some videos where it was shown FF’s skills working with Kino’s, not sure where to find them, but apparently some FF skills that people believe to be singletarget just have small AoE, so Kino CC end up being enough to make more targets take the hits, no need for linker.

Also FF has chaneling spells just like kino, which requires surespell to work at it’s finest.

I’d love to see those videos. Even if this is true, is it really possible to make a case for Wiz 3 > Kino 3 > Featherfoot over Wiz 3 > Kino 3 > Warlock?

It seems like the warlock skills are just too good for damage, and add that damage naturally during the kino’s CC chains.

I don’t have the links so I don’t know how much you will find searching for it on youtube.

From Warlock I see only Pole of Agony working really well with Kino, Theurge is 20 hits singletarget, not a lot for Kino 3 who has a lot of chaneling multihit AoE.

I’m not REALLY sure if this build would work, but I think people who take Warlock at the end of Wiz 3 > Kino 3 do it for PvP purposes.

There are many topics around the forum regarding this subject.

Mainly Kino is a PvP class, so if you don’t want a DPS for PvP you should go:

Wiz 3 > Ele 3 > Warlock, or the build from this topic (but it’s much harder to play and much less popular) or something like those.

Wiz > Cryo 2 > Kino 3 > Warlock

Wiz > Cryo 3 > Kino 3

Wiz 3 > Kino 3 > Warlock/FF

These are the most famous builds for a Psychokino.

Not yet, I’m at level 210 and not in much of a hurry, I’ll only make videos after level 230+ when I have some Warlock skills.
