Full Dark DPS Wizard Build: Wiz 3 > Linker > Sorc 2 > Warlock explained in details

I know I was simply explaining that there are different cooldowns for each summon.

i think his point is not the quick cast itself but the attributes you can put on it like 50% magical dmg… i have the same build and i have wiz1/pyro2/link1/sorc2/warlock.

the point of having wiz3 is for 50% magical dmg it could give for warlocks whick is huge.

did you trade for 10 star temple shooter or did you spam dungeons to acquire cards to upgrade?

@jimguintocs

That’s exactly it. I may or may not have skills with Cast Time in the future but I already have both Surespell and Quickcast+att for those. Skills with no cast time are simply the best thing ever and benefit a lot from +50% magical damage.

Right now with Dark % atk attribute level 10, quickcast +50% damage and 28~29 att% in dark theurge I’m dealing 4.6k on each spirit hit with Maledoom +0 no gems, Wiz Brac, Max Peta, Zacha, and no enhancement on glove, other parts random plate.

Most times if I get the timing right (which is pretty hard for me, who plays at 5 tops fps during large scale mob fights, but still doable) I kill all 5 mobs with only Theurge and Familiar at Evac, yeah, those 100k HP mobs melt in 3 seconds.

@thomasjmwb

I got it to 7 stars with my own cards, then farmed a few to trade him with my brother so that he’d eat all the cards he had, which were a lot on his Templar, so he pumped my card to 10 stars and won it back.

Now another dude from the guild had 2 TS cards and asked if anyone wanted it and I did. got it to 6* with my own cards but don’t use it at all. I’ll only try it when I have both 10-stars.

ahh that makes sense. I didnt think of leveraging other people’s stash of cards to level it and then win it back. I need to find a guild T_T

@moises_andre12

What would you go for, weapon-wise? I’m currently using a +6 Arch Rod (+11 int) + arde at lvl 153, spamming autos while temple shooter is gunning stuff down. I was thinking of getting a Maga Rod since it gives me hp while reducing my max sp pool to make potions more effective, but I’m not sure if that is worth ~4.5mil.

I’m doing a slightly different build if that matters (wiz3>link1>sorc1>necro1>warlock1).

@zellista

I’m using Maledoom and switching it to Corona + Ludas Shield, generaly I just keep Maledoom up. Shield doesn’t matter that much on PvE unless it’s a very good shield or you need to block.

Maga Rod is not good, too expensive for not-so-high damage, reducing SP pool is not good for times when you are not relying on Temple Shooter (mostly when you are partying and your other spells are enough)

Get yourself a Maledoom for Summoning if you like maxing TS’s attack. Other than that just get a Superior Corona Rod and upgrade it as much as you can, only really loses to Circle Rod but the price of this one must be huge since I’ve never seen it on market.

1 consideration:

I almost when down the route you are going, taking Necro C1 instead of Sorc C2, and here are a few points I’d like you to see before you finish your decision.

  • Necro C1 is solid because of Hoop and Cannon, but mostly that alied with both Warlock and Sorc will be too much hits for your Links (level 5) to handle.

  • Flesh Cannon costs 250 silver each use.

  • Having summon’s control spells is not only about correcting stupid AI. You get Riding and Morphing, which are more importante than Hold and Attack Ground.

  • That’s because with 2 TS 10-stars you can deal 15+ AoE (enormous area) hits every 30 seconds having both Morph and Ride.

  • If you have familiar level 5 you will never use it. When you take it to level 10, with WL’s dark % att which mostly makes it have the damage of 11 bats, it can already be compared to FC, which has 16 hits, but costs a lot and is a lot harder to land.

  • Hoop is bad, as you already have Theurge the thing you want to add hits to it is not hoop, which delivers slowly, but Familiars, who rush all to the boss or enemy once you hit or get hit.

Good reasons for not going maga rod, thanks.

Regarding Sorc2 vs Necro1:

  • JP 5’s 50 hit limit honestly doesn’t matter too much, since the main usage will with either magic missiles or flesh cannon, and all 3 of then have similar cool downs so there wouldn’t be much else to use.

  • 250 silver is honestly nothing when you get to the stage where you’ll need to spam it anyway (100k+ hp mobs). I mean a class like fletcher spend money on just about every shot of their 0cd skills, and they also have to deal with high sp costs. 250silver every 20secs is nothing in comparison. Also, for things like dungeons/missions, your corpse count resets after each instance, so there’s always the option of farming corpses from low level mobs beforehand.

  • good points on riding/morph to spam aoes, but I’m honestly quite ok with what I have access to at the moment.

  • familiar 5 is still pretty useful imo, it is better than magic missiles which is 3 hits on a boss vs 5 bats that will benefit from warlock/invocation attribute.

  • flesh cannon with quick cast probably isn’t that different from using multi shot on my archer, and I don’t feel that multi shot is particularly difficult to aim.

  • hoop I consider to mainly be a bonus skill, I would actually put shoggoth above that since he at least provides decent dps (about slightly lower than 1 hit from TS) and can be used to atk farm if I wanted (partially mitigating the costs from corpse pots).

Rank 8 will be the main deciding factor on how my build is finalised.

  • if necro c3 turns out to be amazing (that it out-performs warlock c1+2), I’ll just go sorc1-necro3.
  • if both necro c3, warlock c2 and the new classes suck, I can always go back to Sorc2 to solidify the build more.

I’m just not too sure at this point, to be honest. Hopefully we’ll get info on rank 8 classes/circles before I hit rank 6.

Pyro2-linker1-sorc3 here. 270+ lvl and pyro is not bad as pepole think. Flameground and fireballs is amazing help when TS tanking mobs.

Pyro2-3 is better for solo/bosses than Cryo3. For parties its diffrent story - cryo3 provide some good utility and cc but its not mandatory.

@zellista

  • When you say JP have 50 limit count you are not understanding what you are saying. Let’s say you linked 5 mobs, let’s say all of them are withing Temple Shooters range, so they all take 2 hits each. Those hits are not shared because JP doesn’t share AoEs BUT you did 10 hits on those mobs. That simples, with only FIVE attacks hitting all mobs Temple Shooter can break your whole link.

  • Not try to remember, Flash Cannon is also AoE when you have enough AoE attack ratio from Servant. Then if you hit 3 mobs, with 16 hits, you get 48 hits taken into count when only 16 were shared.

  • Familiar otherwise, as theurge, has its damage applied only to 1 mob, they’re completely singletarget and for THAT reason they are better shared through links.

  • Finaly, the point in my build is Theurge is bount to have ~50 hits at level 10 or 15. I only activate Links when I’m about to burst Theurge and generaly level 240+ mobs die before the Link breaks, I can say this tactic is effective.

Changes on the current build:

I won’t put more points into Pole of Agony. I think this skill is a 1-point wonder for boss hunting IF Warlock has a better AoE spell in the future, if not might consider taking it to higher levels, 26 seconds of duration at level 15 sounds nice but 12 for 1 point sounds better.

I’m still thinking about Invocation. I really think it’s only good for the attribute. Takes too many points to be effective, don’t have damage attribute % and apparently it’s too hard to activate the +30% dark damage effect for it to be effective. If I can see myself making good use of this attribute I’ll put 5 points into it for the attribute only. (and maybe reset skills to reuse the points afeter buying the att, not sure if it’s possible)

Mastema is the worst skill right now apparently. Might put 1 point into it if I have a spare one.

People say sorc 3 is bad. I am doing a same build as yours. What do you recommend me to take for r7.

Wiz c1 pyro c2 linker c1 sorcerer c2

    1. and 2) Well, you’ll also have to realize that HK is basically a mini-circling with its attribute (reduced aoe def ratio), so in a ground with 15-20+ mobs where flesh cannon would normally only hit 5-10~ of them depending on their size (3 base aoe atk ratio from wiz class, 1 from roxona plate gloves, 5 from skill base, 5 from servant buff), HK will allow more to get hit from the cannon itself. Also, your templeshooter example (of depleting your link hit count) can apply to your build as well, unless you’re unsummoning him each time you plant to do the bats/dark theurge + JP combo.
    1. and 4) yea I understand the mechanics, but with my path (still taking warlock C1 at R7) I’m also able to go warlock C2/C3 for R8/9 as well, so there’s no real difference there.
  • Invocation seems like the true bread and butter for Warlocks imo. From what I’ve read, number of hits per spirit increases per invocation level as well (same as dark theurge).

Invocation is a buff, as long as you kill something within your range you’ll spawn the spirits, which can be fired off with Sacrifice as well (it doesn’t only work with Theurge spirits).

I would go as far as to say that in terms of skill priority, its Invocation > Evil Sacrifice >>>> Dark Theurge >>> Pole of Agony. I can kind of agree with just putting 1 point into PoA, but it highly depends on the skills that unlock in warlock C2.

On a separate note, after thinking about it more I can agree that Sorc2 has an edge over Sorc1>Necro1, if only because I did not take into account the skill use every 30sec when riding. But for now I’m also waiting to see how well Necro3 fares (we’re apparently getting Rank8 information soon from the devs). If Necro3 and Warlock2 somehow both suck, I could just wait and pick up Necro1 at rank 8 instead while going Sorc2>Warlock1.

@zellista

  • I don’t use JP until I have both Familiar and Theuge ready to go, so even if TS hits all mobs, he only takes 10 hits and I can apply those 30+ hits of mine generaly before he shoots twice.

  • Flesh Cannon hitting more targets is only good if you use it while your links are down considering it’s duration.

  • I generaly try do stop TS at a position where he only hits one of the targets if possible so that he eats less Link Counts.

  • Going Necro 2 is completely different from Warlock at the end of that build. If you go necro 2 you don’t have warlock’s hits to share, so even if your Flesh Cannon breaks the links you don’t really have much else you’d share. Necro 3 might be good, no one can know.

  • About summoning: Card level: 10, Skill level 5: 3 atq per INT point, Skill level 10: 4 atq per INT point, level 15: 5 atq per INT point. His scaling changes a lot through ranking Sorc up. In the end of Wiz 3 > Linker > Sorc 2 > Warlock, you can have Warlock 2 or 3, or Linker 2 or 3, or Sorc 3, or even any new class that comes out and the most important part is: ALL of this options are very good. While Necro 2 is still meh (Necro 1 already has Cannon and Hoop, so skels and tower for 1 rank don’t feel right)

  • About invocation: I can see why you like that skill but I don’t like how it’s only useful for PvE. Doesn’t have damage attribute so it will end up doing way less damage than most of my spells. You have to finish the mob yourself to get the spirit, if either TS or Shoggoth take the kill you get nothing. On PvP and general Boss Fights it doesn’t seem like I’ll have much use for Invocation, it’s a completely PvE ability with ā€œlowā€ damage (when compared to high-attributed skills). Also generaly you leave the spot after the mobs die, yes you can use those spirits to finish up mobs with low HP already but TS can do that already and you don’t have to spend your precious Warlock points on it.

That’s not how that works… at all, lmao. 5 attacks from a templeshooter doesn’t break a whole link… more like 25, which, by that time, they’d be dead by then.

Yep, saw ur vids on youtube or guy with nick and build similar to yours lol, and it motivated me to go pyro instead of wiz3)

  • Um…with Necro1-Warlock1 I can do the exact same thing, except that instead of having 10 bats, I’ll have 5 bats and Flesh Hoop. So there’s literally no difference here.

  • Not sure what to say about this one. I suppose Flesh Cannon has decent enough AOE atk ratio with sorc buff + weapon + gloves to use without links as well.

  • So basically no difference with what I would can do with Necro1 over Sorc2 then?

  • I’ve already mentioned this, but again, supposedly there will be information on Rank 8 soon (I’m guessing within the next few weeks). I will only go Necro2 if it is revealed that Necro3 is worth it (like if they get some kind of ā€œFlesh Cloudā€ or something similarly OP/strong), so much so that it is able to outweigh whatever Warlock2 is revealed to have. For now the plan is to still stick with Sorc1>Necro1>Warlock1. I’ll also have the freedom for rank8 and above from this point.

  1. If Warlock2, Necro3 and the new classes somehow suck, I can go Sorc2 to complete the build instead.
  2. If Necro3 gets amazing skills, I can ditch warlock at R7 and go Necro2>Necro3 instead.
  3. If Warlock2 or some other new class provides much better abilities than my other options, I can still go with that.
  • …that seems like a very weird reason to not get Invocation. Warlocks are saying that Invocation spirits deal the same damage as Theurge spirits (without attribute I’m assuming), and at lvl 5 each spirit will hit 5 times, so how is that even remotely weak? Lets face it, this build is far more suited for PVE than it is for PVP (I mean your CCs are limited to sleep and maybe JP+HK), so not picking one of the strongest PVE skills just because ā€œit is bad for PVPā€ is really silly. With low CON you’re not going to get much PVP done, and if you somehow switch to high/full CON, your templeshooter will basically lose all scaling.

Invocation will be strong in both ET AND grinding parties, even certain world boss fights where mobs spawn constantly (like in Demon Prison), each spirit spawned can then be thrown into the boss via Evil Sacrifice. Or are you telling me that a skill that excels in ET, Grind Parties and SOME world bosses is not worth getting? I’m not even mentioning the 30% dark attribute buff you get from standing near the spirits.

  • Yes, as I said before, I can understand why you are going with Necro 1, but I would wait to know if Necro 3 is awesome before taking Warlock to be honest, Necro 2 is really bad but Ele 2 was too, so who knows right?

  • Rapid Shot every 30 seconds, you are not considering how strong this is when saying you are not losing much, also the summon scaling on INT gets 33% better, compared to 25% when upgraded from Sorc 2 to Sorc 3. Stat and level growth seem somehow fixed.

  • Summoning doesn’t have max aoe attack ratio apparently, even frost cloud has it now.

  • Summoning is a skill that adds 3.2k Damage/Second to my character. Is a walking turret that follows me and can be positioned.

  • Have you tried PvP? I’ve won against plenty of Cryo > Kinos FULL CON right now, I have 150 CON and ~380 INT. Most skills don’t even hit me with 10 bats + dark theurge out, seriously, only large area CC like Raise or Frost Cloud can stop me. My burst is amazing and Templshooter doens’t get CC’d by ANYTHING, nothing AT ALL, you can even use his skills if you get frozen while mounting him.

  • To put it simply, Sorcerer is a very good class because it is both good at PvE and PvP. It gives you a 3.2k DPS positionable or following you. Linker eliminates the problem of enemies with spawns or flags or totems or anything, even Ice Walls. Wiz 3 and Warlock is plain deadly in PvP.

About Invocation:

I will most likely take it to be honest, I just want to wait until rank 8 comes so I can really decide on what’s the best path. Not only that but I plan on taking it to level 8 (100% uptime) to be honest if I put any points into it.

It’s just that as you said above, I think future ranks are coming soon so I won’t make mistakes right now.

I agree, my cryo 3 sorc 2 warlock is awesome and I have a lots dps (pvp / pve) nice nice! let the elements fans cry :yum:

hi moises

i’m lv 264 now using your build

429 int
150 con

physical defense 437
magic defense 391

invested stats
-102 con
-196 int

my gear is

maga rod (i need 640k to upgrade it to 5 star to be comparable to catacombs mace. I also have superior corona too)

3 piece roxona plate, 1 piece royal guard pants. (i plant to replace chest and pants to superior royal guard pants eventually. I may however go virtov plate pants once i find the recipe and mats. Glove and boots i use roxona, unless i can find virtov plate versions for it)

glass bracelet (i have the arch bangle recipe, not sure if i should craft it becauz it has - sp recovery)
zachariel bracelet

terralion necklace. It has -1 stats compared to max petamion, but it has more magic defense.

pavaisa shield (i also have a sage wall for magic heavy fights. i also have an otrava recipe i’m not sure i should craft or not since i already have pavaisa. or whether i should get an Aias or not…)

about that maga rod, some people opinion that -sp is good so the maga rod -sp would help prolong temple shooter up time, and be possible to resort to lower cost potions to sustain mid fight rather than resort to bonfires which in a fight is not necessarily a good thing.

that said, it would seem superior corona at my level seems the way to go. and the other thing better would be a

@moises_andre12 a question on this build, when you are riding your summon, on PVP, can target skills still hit you and also ground spells? or only target skills? was thinking if Musketeer’s Snipe or Cannoneer’s Cannon Blast still hits while you are mounted.
