that’s nifty.
so why are you playing a game that is specifically designed to cater to the type that wants to sink a whole lot of time into their characters?
"WoW did it differently"
this isn’t WoW, and in fact the core design philosophies of the two games are extremely different. WoW is actually a very casual game for most people, with easy leveling, easy resetting, etc.
"But research takes so long!"
yea, but how long does it take to level a built to 150 to find out it’s wrecked and needs to be completely redone?
"there aren’t many hardcore theorycrafters in this game"
lol ok. you obviously haven’t been looking too hard. and besides, it only just launched to the public 2 weeks ago.
everyone that says this -actually- seems to mean "they need to cater to the playstyle that i want."
well ToS doesn’t. it has always been made with a long-term-playing-investment in mind, the same as RO and many other of the big early MMO’s. what’s the point of making the game cater to people who “don’t have time” to invest when it’s only 280 levels… if they plan to increase that to 600+ levels in the future?
this game is not the playstyle you want, and it is never going to be the playstyle you want. you will not progress with “a few hours here and there”.
if you can’t handle that, then admit it to yourself and either accept that, or find another game that -will- give you fast, easy, -safe- levelling.
as for the skill reset, there’s nothing to do. it’s right there, go and buy one if you want it.
