Which would you recommend? Cannoneer to stealth blast things in the face or -mostly- single target burst from musketeer?
It really depends. If you are the type of player that plays in parties, musketeer is beyond amazing (when having a linker or better a linker/chrono). If I would have to choose, I’ll pick musketeer all the way.

Cannoneer because with Archer3/Scout3 you’ll be spamming skills constantly where as Muskateers skills are only available every 20~30s. Cannoneers low cooldown/larger aoe Canoon Blast (5s) should work really well with Split Shot in particular.
Both Canooneer and Muskateer can be good in parties, though Muskateer seems to be more geared to auto-turret builds due to innately high attackspeed on muskets
Right, but it still depends on the party, if you have a chrono3, I think Musketeer will be better whereas Cannoneer will be better for soloing or partying without a linker/chrono. It ultimately depends on your gaming partners and the classes that they picked.

Yep agreed, though while Muskateer may get more out of Quicken’s attack speed buffs…this build doesn’t rely on attack speed buffs or Joint Penalty. I’d think that in general the two would be A3->Scout3-> Can1 (skill spam) or A3->QS3->Muskateer (autoattack spam, single target burst).

You’re absolutely right. QS is definitely the best option for musketeer. I didn’t really see the scout3 in the subject, my bad. facepalm
Sounds good. I think I will combo cannoneer with scout 3 and maybe do a quarrel shooter+sapper musketeer sometime. XD
So what’s the deal with Scout3 for Cannoneer builds? Why not just go Ranger3 for Steady Aim’s big damage buff?
Perspective distortion gives a pretty big damage buff too
Split arrow hits 3 enemies at once. It’s like a super oblique arrow. Also, to correct my previos post I will probably do machine gun musketeer instead as that sounds more fun.
