For an accurate latency test, use ping 54.88.25.242

From Reddit:

This is ip for the Laima server in icbt, same one that will be used in obt. I see a lot of people are using the cloudping.info test but http ping tests are not accurate.

if you don’t know how to use cmd:

Type cmd in windows search box, open cmd.exe
type “ping 54.88.25.242” without the “”

Around 280 from SEA just like CBT.
But that is not a big deal for me since i didn’t experience delay in CBT.

Not sure why EU players are so salty not getting an EU server. Ping 100-120ms is very playable, even in PvP.

But we here Oceanic players (AUS/NZ/SEA) are getting at least 200ms+

Im getting 250ms average from NZ. I hope we can at least get a West Coast server :frowning:

they haven’t played the game yet. they just assumed it will be bad… came to the forum and whined because they had no better things to do, literally.

145, I can live with that :stuck_out_tongue:

Thanks for the info bro, I had ~160 in the http ping test

You’ve got replies from 2 EU players from 2 EU countries, and you decide that’s what everyone will get? Please.

ikr, from SEA we get around 200-300 ping, but still can play without any trouble.
They got around 100-200 ping still cry alot.
Erghhh

160 here, with some WTFast/mudfish maybe 110-120 but not sure i will need it

as a EU, im sorry.
We’ve become too spoiled, we played MMORPGs on American servers for so long but only recently has it become a problem to not have a EU server.

i will not move to a EU server if its not available on the 29th, 100-200 ping is absolutely fine, and didnt experience any delays in iCBT2 either.

Yes.
But sadly.

i wont get 107 ms ping to that server.

As this is accurate … only for the heck of it.
I had an average ping of 180 ms to the servers last time.
And 110ish with an routeing enhancer like wtfast.

Does anyone not know how to use cmd box?
I mean… dns flush … ping check and such things are basics … which i learnt in it … at 7th grade ( 13~14 years old then).

Hmmm, sorry. It’s the same ping I used to get back in November. Maybe your internet improved since then?

EU players are not salty.

A few idiots tha tspam the forum are.
I would love an eu based server, for obvious reasons of lowest possible ping.

But heck … i told them it’s playable even from eu.
But they just go “UHH WTF HIGH PING DURRR! Unplayable durrRRR!” … idiots are somethign you find everywhere

xD

Ping is 1 thing, lag or delay are depended on many thing come from server base, ISP, game config, etc.
With other games, it can be hard to play with 200+ ping, but i found out that ToS is playable with that ping, just need some GPN to make your connection stayable.
Those people who keep thinking they are deserved the best should have a bad ping tbh.

That would be weird.

I even noted down my ping and … uhh … made it worse with sherr curiosity. To test out somethings.

I ranged 180 average. 110 with enhancer. And up to 500 ms with messing around.

My provider hasn’t upgraded my connection … maybe it’s now faster caus eits midnight? I will test tommorow again … would be weird.

286ms here in Australia, going to forward this to my steam friendlist and let my mates know, the ones i encouraged to buy the fp already and let them know our only option is world of warcraft
