Fletcher experts come in

You have to quote everything mister dishonest. Or mister I get mad when people are joking, dunno.

oh. i thought you were serious all this time. i guess that explains it. my bad. carry on.

It explains that, yeh. The joke tilted you so much you thought I didnā€™t answer you.

End of argument.

I need to see some footage of someone outdpsing a fletcher3 with an A3 QS3 Musket, for real.

Iā€™ve quite literally never seen this before in the hundreds of missions Iā€™ve ran.

That just dosent exist

How Musket can beat fletcher3 as DPSā€¦ Musket DPS pretty low cause Animation&Bug.
Covering fire need 2 sec to cast 1-2sec to fire.
Heading shot Slow animation around 1-2 sec before fire.
Aiming shot pretty fast if it auto lock but you need to check it lock or not and you need to gamble it HIT or NOT even you aim at center of target. If not you need gamble again your char freeze or not.

ā€¦I play A2 QS3 Fal1 Musket1 As mainā€¦ I can say I donā€™t see the way to beat fletcher3 as DPS.

While we have all these fletcher experts in here, 2H bow or xbow + manamana? I know you need 2h for flying mobs, but can I stick with 2h bow for everything else or would that be silly? Iā€™m looking forward to Mergen to be able to rock the 2H, but I donā€™t know if itā€™ll be a musketeer situation where you just swap for those skills or itā€™ll actually reward you for running a 2h bow all the time?

I already have a manamana, so itā€™s not that big of a deal, Iā€™m just trying to figure out if I should invest in a maga bow first or if I should just have a solid white bow for flying mobs and worry about getting things like isability for certain bosses and idk what else (superior kracked?)

Isbality (bonus dmg vs demon, and 3 sockets) + Manamana (All slotted with green gems for crit rate) for worldbosses since most are demon. Bow vs flying, and flying worldbosses.

You should use Light Gorithos bow, highest attack.

yea kinda what I was expecting, hereā€™s to hoping Mergen has something that rewards you for using 2H all the time and isnā€™t just gonna be a swapping skill class like musket and cannon lol

Anyone here playing A2>Sap2>Fletcher3? I want some AOE to ease the pain of lvling. But I have no idea about the viability of Sapper 2 in late game. Particularly Broom Trap. And what stat to invest?

noā€¦ thereā€™s a reason why you donā€™t see quarrels doing world boss

This reason is called bad build path for single target DPS. It doesnā€™t mean they have a bad build but yeh when you are doing SR after QS3 donā€™t hope to compete with Fletcher 3 :joy:.

you donā€™t see qs3 a3 musketeers doing world boss either

I have an archer A2 -> Sapper2 -> Fletcher fletcher fletcher. Sapper2 Broom trap is very nice during demon prison grind because it has unlimited AoE + big range + long duration. The weakness is it will not hit flying enemies, and the other sapper skills arenā€™t very good. Detonate traps has okay PvE utility to destroy boss totem traps, and boss magic circles (worldboss harpeia zaibas will be destroyed). If you use it close to your trap, it will be destroyed. If you use it near your party member skills, their skills will be destroyed too.

Stake stockades has nice scaling (3 initial hits, and 3 hits again each time the enemy moves away and back into the spikes) however the after-animation delay is atrocious. Jump immediately after using stake stockades to remove the delay.

Vs bosses, you may put down the broom trap and start spamming magic arrow (+broadhead).

I am playing A1 R1 Sap2 Fletcher 3, so I cannot say much about A2. The damage of broom trap will fall, but it still helps to clear up low hp mobs. As Fletcher in general may be lacking in AoE department, you will still rely on broom trap for additional damage when solo and partying (partying up with linker is awesome for single-target Fletcher).

@greyhiem: Tks for the tip. So all comes down to how Broom Trap falls off late game and wacky animation of traps. Whatā€™s your stat distribution?

@kizuna: There is R1, quite interesting. But Iā€™m concerned about +25% crit rate compared to Barrage. Quite a big trade off IMO.

As far as I can see, Archers rank 1-5 AOE capability isnā€™t that great in late game. I still need something to cover Fletcher lacks of AOE. Not many choice beside Sapper 2

I honestly think Rank1 Ranger is better than Rank2 Archer if you had to compare the two, but ideally getting both shouldnā€™t be hard.

I personally donā€™t think you should compromise a ST build with sapper2, especially when Mergen is coming out soon to compensate for the lack of mobile aoe. Sapper1 is essentially a useless rank, and I donā€™t know if Broom Trap is really worth going 2 ranks deep for it if youā€™re not using the class for aoe dps checks or mob/field farming.

Broom Trap. When you use it, your character will kneel down and extend the right arm to put down a brown stick. Three light blades extend from the stick and start rotating. This is the full animation (takes quite long). You cannot cancel this animation unlike the stake stockades animation.

Broom trap has low-ish base damage, yes. However it will deal 24 hits if the target stays within range, possibly more hits if you lure the target around-against the spinning direction of the blades. Since it may deal 24 hits, your attributes will be applied 24 times. Especially most bosses will get full 24 hits. The type is Strike damage. Many other classes have strike damage boosters (monk double punch debuff, rodelero high kick & slithering, wizard lethargy attribute, etc.).

Sapper2 is the biggest AoE you will get at early ranks. It is quite nice, besides reiter AoE (reiter retreat shot AoE is a long line), and gu pot (smaller AoE circler than broom trap). Of course all falconer Circling comboā€™s (mulitshot, feint&barrage, cannoneer) will out-burst broom trap.

You wonā€™t have steady aim or scout camouflage (meta A2-R1-Scout-fletch build). Broom trap isnā€™t [missile] type so steady aim canā€™t boost its damage.

During boss fights you lay down the trap and focus on fletcher skills.

Your broom trap may compensate vs loss of ranger1 steady aim (and 3x barrage) if you have many strike debuffs on the boss.

My stat build is High STR, low dex - crit rate gems and gear.

Sapper advantage with fletcher: lay down trap is all you have to do.
Disadvantage: trap may be stolen, destroyed, boss might move out of range, Broom trap is the only good sapper skill - Strike damage is only good vs Plate, Long CD on all sapper traps, no steady aim compared to meta Ranger1 steady aim, no camouflage + movespeed bonus to safely find worldboss, you are adding some AoE instead of focusing on the fletcher boss fight-single target specialization.
Big overlooked disadvantage: WEIGHT. Traps = need wood. Arrow crafting = need wood + materials. Crafted arrows = again weight.

Ah ā– ā– ā– ā–  you are right I canā€™t see myself. Are you guys gonna keep talking about that when you obviously donā€™t know whatā€™s you are talking about on a helping thread ? Sight.

Show me your char, Iā€™m very curious to see your build.
