yes, it works great, the only drawback is that u get rooted for 0,5 sec while casting fletcher skills, jumping kinda cancels its animation which maybe is something between 0,25 sec difference, either high or low ping, works the same way.
Youâre comparing it to frost cloud though. Even an entire aoe-focused archer build will look underwhelming when compared to elememe. Someone who is playing a fletcher most likely did not expect to be any sort of an AoE powerhouse to begin with.
If you compare it to the rest of the archer kit, itâs not a bad skill at all in terms of damage. It has no target limit, does not rely on circling and itâs fast enough to spam (at least for me it is). The skill adds versatility and helps balance out a Fletcher build, which is very welcome for players who donât want to make an army of alts each optimized for very specific content.
You may not be the guy with the dank SS-tier AoE, but at least you can pull a C-tier out of your ass when you have to while not giving up that SS single-target people love about Fletcher.
That said, the SP drain is what scales the worst about the skill. It never hurts to kidnap a Kabbalist.
I was making a point that any aoe skill that you cast once and donât worry about is going to be better than crossfire. Spamming crossfire is like channeling a spell that only does a weak amount of damage at a very slow rate for a long period of time. It preoccupies you from using other skills when you spam crossfire.
Maybe if they made the burn do more damage it might be considered a real aoe skill. But right now crossfire is only useful for trash clearing when barrage is on cool down.
Also the sp cost is abhorrent. I donât even use it anymore and just relie on magic arrow for aoe damage.
on those points i do agree
