Fix the broken market system, upper limit/higher limit

I’m confused as to how this is preventing botters and gold sellers. It’s bad enough we can’t directly trade silver for items as it is, even with a token, but I can’t count how many times I’ve gotten a drop and was forced to vendor it because it was impossible for me to undercut other sellers most likely because a gold seller asked to have that item sold for a much higher price, therefore throwing off the lower limit completely.

So many of these policies actually enables and encourages gold sellers rather than hinders them. Who it does hinder, and hurt, are the legitimate player base.

Absolutely… the lower limit is terrible. It reminds me of benevolent dictator market: imposed market prices for the good of people, but they need super information so they put up incorrect price limits and now market for that product is screwed.

Good in game example: look at Dilgeles. I bet if the lower limit on that item was removed it’s market price drops several k in a few hours. If you want to sell dilgele’s on market you post and pray…

There are already lot’s of features to prevent lots of market strategies already like flipping or gold selling, such as untradable japtems and recipe, consumables after you buy, and item potential and of course the massive commission fees!

Agreed. And while obviously I want to avoid gold selling (I think it’s totally fine to have upper limits on easily obtainable materials to combat this for example), I don’t understand lower limits and I guess the two day rule and commissions sort of hurt botters? But it doesn’t really, because there are still tons of silver sellers and tons of people willing to buy silver despite all these restrictions. In the end, it hurts legitimate players more than anyone.

Also I see nothing wrong with flipping either. No one forces anyone to sell items for less than their worth, I definitely made my fair share of gold in WoW by buying items people were selling for cheap and reselling them for high.

I still dont get it. Who sets lower and upper cuts? Is it automatic and bugged or it’s IMC staff doing it?

My understanding was the market controls it. which is pretty stupid because it means if people are selling items for higher (which is what gold sellers do, they have players sell common items for much much much higher) it drives the price up of that item, making the lower limit much higher than that item is actually worth, so legit players who want to sell that item now can’t bc no one but gold sellers would pay those ridiculous prices.
