I really like the concept of this event! The only thing i would suggest, is changing the prerequisite for “any new character”, independent of account creation date, this change is not toxic, and would promote the relations between old and new players.
I love creating new chars, and i must admit that i’m feeling a little envious right now.

That event could be for every new character regardless of the account’s age… I would love make a new char and level it up fast with that event :S

This event could be upgraded to accept accounts that haven’t logged on for a while too.

Yes, is a nice event trying to attract new players, can’t deny that. On the other hands, new players get it easy now, it feels a little bit unfair for old hardcore players.
Wait, some of the rewards are 7-day Tokens. Do these stack?
Because it says that every character will get the reward, so every lvl 110 char they level up would get 14 days of premium + everything else.
A friend recently started in ToS and this might make it worth it to just restart with another account for him.
Wait what? This event is only for new players?
Doesn’t that mean we can, too?

The events not for current players, it’s for new players. There’s a different event for us.

Oh right.
Good thing there’s more boring dailies (maybe they won’t be, who knows) rewarding one talt and 3 exp cards, the only real rewards being silver anvils and abrasive, to compensate this token, the dozen of x8 exp tomes, the enchant scrolls, the unique accessories/headgear, costume, equipments, 15 soul crystals and warp scrolls, 30 megaphones, etc etc…
You got my point.
Here’s for the usual “stop bitching cuz frii stuf” :
If “normal” players can’t get this event, clearly it’s an insult to the playerbase, playerbase constituted of players that keeps tolerating IMC’s behavior and act, to invite “new” players, which at this point the ones that will benefit the most from this event will be normal players doing alts.
Is that how they reward them?
Sorry, I’m such a jerk for complaining about “free” stuff.
For sure you wouldn’t complain if you go to a restaurant and are a recurrent customer, and they give you a banana as a thanks, while the new clients that just stepped the door get a royal menu for free you didn’t get.
But hey, the banana was free, you have no right to complain.
To be honest I’m not even complaining about the reward themselves but the act of it.
They give so much to so few player who joins their game, and so few to so much players doing the effort to still play.
I would clearly enjoy the Donnes’ event if it wasn’t for that.

I am still very salty over the loss of stat and skill reset because my character is 322.

Sorry to break it to you, mmorpgs have these events all the time, and it usually benefits the new user only, though sometimes there are features like Recruit a Friend in WoW or FFXIV that usually gives the veteran a mount or month subscription if the recruit buys the game.
Honestly it just sounds like you’re bored with what the game IS right now. Its Tree of Dailies and no event is going to fix that right now, so maybe take a break and come back if they ever drastically change something. This is why if any new player asks how the game is I always tell them this game is only fun to play casually due to the lack of end game.
Persona 5 comes out tonight. Hype.
Didn’t they change it so you can get the 10 chests now if you are 330? I could be wrong but I remember people saying they could like last week.

Honestly being a casual player is one of the reasons I am able to keep my interest in the game and keep a positive outlook and view on things and enjoy it.
I don’t have any intention for instance to saalus farm for blessed gems as the way it currently is. I’m happy being a casual player for now but I do hope they improve the games hardcore content so it’s not as repetitive and lackluster as it currently is. If they do I would probably invest more time into the game and obviously I want hardcore players to enjoy the game as well.
I could be wrong too but I think it was changed so that you could open the last cube you’d get to open from leveling 329 to 330 which wasn’t possible before. So in his case I think he would be able to open one more than before but not all of them.

That’s right, but besides that they have mainly a fair amount of new players (thus updates) and don’t give such a huge amount of rewards and/or the older players aren’t left with more repetitive content only.
I’m not saying that it’s bad, but it’s insulting the ones supporting IMC, heck they’re already insulting themselves enough by supporting them.

I am, and I did. Frankly I just got hyped for this event, but it again fell down to 0.
I thought such an event would break some kind of routine, allowing the veteran players to match up with new ones or something.
What is see is they bait new players with so extra good things to level so fast they won’t even understand the game (because if they really are new players, they’re mostly gonna use exp tomes while questing, because I did) and when they’re trapped in Tree of Dailies and get to see the acts of IMC towards the older players.
tl;dr: At the moment, the game won’t have any more new player staying, throw what you want at them, past some point they’ll understand that the game, hidden behind cute graphics and a diversity lasting for only 7 ranks, is empty.
This is why I feel like these rewards should be here, for the newcomers and the old players, although some of them should be removed because it would be too much.
