First Impressions - From lvl 1 - 35

This is my first impressions, keep in mind I haven’t played through alot of the content.
So, this may be a bit all over the place but bare with me I may have some potentially constructive feedback.

1.The Art: Art is subjective I suppose but I will say that I enjoy the art style of the game, it isn’t ideally what I’d want but what I want may not be what the majority want so this section is of little importance for the purposes of feedback. It does suffice for me though in that it’s not a total turn off from playing the game in any way on the contrary it is enjoyable to some extent.

2.The Zones: The terrain is great, the aesthetic is good. However the zones are a bit small and un-fulfilling in an exploratory sense. Specifically because it seems that eventually you are stuck in a zone longer and longer as you have to farm to progress. If this was suppose to be the center of gameplay then I don’t think this game is for me(or the vast majority for that matter). Hacking away at the same mobs in the same room for hours on end is not fun, it’s boring.

3.The Items: I cannot express enough how much the item system feels like crap starting out, I can see that they are modifiable but it hurts alot when starting out because you don’t want to spend resources on early game gear which is the fastest moving part of the game presumably, and arguably the most important part to “hook” people into the game. And to be stuck with the same gear from 1-15 15-40 is not enticing in any shape or form. Speaking of form alot of the items have the exact same model so there is near zero aesthetic variation. Something that can be improved.

4.The Character Development: From my limited perspective, as one who has not played through alot of content, and have done only some theory crafting: it is a bit of a mystery for me, weather there is 1 build to rule them all or just heavily saturated roles investment, or neither. Which is nice, I think a good amount of people enjoy that phase of a game where it is still a mystery pre-endgame. One thing I will critisize is that the “Attributes” (they should be called masteries imo.) are kind of frustrating, there is too much time to be spent sitting there at 9 minute intervals, and the intervals in general are just frustrating as you can qeue only one and then go farm for 9-30 minutes but more or less always feel like time is being wasted if you do not run back and qeue another. Unless ofcourse that is what you are going for-a gimassive waste of time in which case fine… Some games function on this basis although it’s a turn off to people such as myself. And I have to say this aswell, because there is such a long progression, if there is a lack of a respec it could be catastrophic, I like the emotional attachment to characters because it isn’t free but at the same time I would think it a massive turn off to end up on the short straw of this scenario, people who are satisfied with their builds wont care in any case about respec, it’s the people who f’d up that will care MUCH more. if your game is freemium definately do not make this a pay feature… that is not a recipe for a model game.

Welp, If i had anything else to say it has slipped my mind. These are just my thoughts and some opinions and I hope they can aid the development in anyway. GL HF! Besides the criticisms it does look like it has a lot of promise, keep up the good work!

3.About equipment, I feel like the very low levels have enough. Quests given them and monsters drop some constantly. However, as soon as I reach F2 of the mines, these drops stop almost completely. It’s weird.

4.I can’t say I’ve had this problem… mainly because I don’t have the money to waste on a “increases damage of skill you’ll soon discard by 1%”
4.2.I worry about respeccing as well. Because there are just so many classes, it’s very hard to decide and I suspect very easy to make fatal mistakes. But on the other hand, a complete respec readily availiable might cheapen de game. Maybe give back spent skill points but not reclassing? I don’t know how it should go.

I agree completely. It also takes the excitement when a monster drops an item or recipe since you know its not gonna be as good as the 2nd best thing you bought at the auction house. Also why bother enchanting /geming it anyways, too much money for a disposable piece of gear.

As for point 4.- they are money sinks. IMO money sinks (as in real money microtransactions) should be optional and fun, Like using the Horadric Cube on Diablo or opening a Dead branch /OCA in Ro. Trying to get to a soul crystal in Final Fantasy Tactics and hope for a good skill to learn, and so on.

ATTRIBUTES:
I am unaware of there being a cap on the attributes, I have had the Concentrate:Enhance and Gung Ho:Enhance attributes from the Swordsman class to lvl 20+ from fairly early on and it has made a big difference for me-adding an extra 100 dmg and now even more. They were the cheapest to upgrade from 500 a pop to barely over 1000 now in the 30’s. The point is if they go very high they will be pivotal later on particularly end game or for anyone remotely interested in pvp (if that is a thing in this game I don’t know). It depends when they cap or if they cap at all-weather or not it will be truly frustrating imo. If they capped at 50 for example, I would not break a sweat, however if there is no cap, then the potential is just time investment. But the scale of frustration increases as the cap is higher or decreases as it is lower so this is something I would strongly advise considering what the proper balance is(if that hasn’t allready been done lol).

RESPEC AVAILABILITY:
Here’s just an idea, You get respecs at intervals (during leveling) a very limited amount spaced far out. And a final 1 at max level. After that you need to pay for any further. At very least I would say give a free one at max level when people start to learn what the “endgame” meta is in terms of builds or skill selection-when builds becomes cemented into the game. Imagine for example if not having a skill or having a specific skill would make the difference between getting invited for a dungeon but you were not given a chance to respec, you did not know the builds and so no-one wants to invite you because you will be dragging or you have a effect that people hate like knock back in some games for instance, it would be very frustrating, probably even make some people stop playing all together. That is my main concern about the respec availability. if you got a respec and here are 3 random examples, say at 200,400 and finally 600. Or 300 and then 600-I’d think I would be more than satisfied with 2 freebies, but 1 at max level just seems at very least a fair chance to me.
