Finally some love for Rogue with Dagger based builds!

New 350 Dagger looks pretty sweet:

Mashinios Dagger red/orange 350, 3 socket slots
Attack: 1144 - 1264
DEX +59
Critical rate +39
Lightning elemental attack +303
*Rogue Backstab damage +150%

The extra Backstab damage is the same as Karacha’s set, but this Dagger has more sockets and you don’t need a specific Xbow. This can opens up more PvE-focused build possibilities and even some good Crossbow on TBL, such as Chapparition Shooter.

What do you guys think? It’s time for some theorycraft some Rogue 3 TBL Dagger builds?

I’ll definitely try Archer > QS 2 > Scout > Sapper 2 > Rogue 3 and see how this will deal with the new content. I hope that the trueRogue lovers of this forum have not died of waiting so long. :satisfaction:

This isn’t “love”. This is straight up admission that [backstab] is so bad that it needs an item to specifically buff it. This also locks you into said weapon hoping the next tier of gear has a higher version of it else you will get left behind. Just look at Qs clinging to the grand cross series xbows with nothing for 315 onwards because we didn’t get marvel grand cross.

We actually got a really good qs xbox with the nexr patch, but i really wanted a bow.

I really hoped that it’d be a little less Rogue-specific, but at least the other stats are decent enough to consider this as a nice subweapon for Thauma or any Cleric that needs some DEX & eledamage over block.
Also nice for Enchanter because he can block without a shield.

considering most who go rogue also take hakka at this point, which requires a sword to use hakka skills…

I don’t want to combine my rogue with Hakka so I like it.
Problem is still Burrow lacking oomph.

You can’t use dagger on hacka… too bad.

QS just got a crossbow with the exact same bonus as Marvel.

(+2 QS skills +1 RS)

Sure, after how many months? And what of the next tier? Are they skipping that too because there will be a new xbow later?

My point is gear based skills are bad. Plain and simple. They had how many years with the Qs to figure that out. With agny necklace it was at least an accessory. With all armor giving def and mdef we can at least “afford” to have armor based skills because with armor we at least have 3 other pieces to pick up the slack.

But it’s done. The dagger is there and it brings with it the disturbing balance philosophy IMC has regarding skills tied to weapons.

i agree with you, i never pick QS because of dgc and cafrisun obligation. When i started playing, i used to pursue dps, using xbow+manamana trend. 1 year later, i changed, just using 2 bow for the sake of simplicity, not interested in DPS race anymore, it is just a number.

I still try to use it. I was very happy with [bazooka] stance working with [running shot]. It was sort off a sign that I could “main hand” something like a cannon while still making use of the +2 Qs skills from DGC while only focusing on the cannon for ups.

I imagine this is pretty good for you @myself. I do enjoy your pvp videos. So I can assume this is good for the sneaky type rogues that also went scout.

err… i think you mistook me with @d_88overcome

what about quarrel 3 rogue 2-3 (apraisser) wih bullet 2?

Will you play Bullet market or what will be your build after the release of the new classes please?

I don’t think it’s a ‘bad’ thing, just implemented incorrectly.
if it was say a gem that could be added to a weapon/off hand or they gave it to enchanter’s enchant shop. I find it funny the possibilities are endless for doing it right, but such is imc.

This says we’re of “like mind”.

This says you’re more creative. Never thought to give it to enchanters.

I’ld like to combine the 2 ideas and give gem roasting an option to roast a skill. Get rid of monster gems for skills and just make them regular gem food. So roasting an already “roasted gem” lets to chose a skill to modify/boost. This makes the effect “transferable” instead of stuck on the same pcs of gear.
