This will be the thread of which I will post most if not all of the feedback while playing the CBT.
Feedback as of 8-6-2015:
-
The XP curve in my opinion needs to be adjusted, I noticed that it takes a while to level up your second job for some reason. i.e. I’m playing a wizard and advanced into pyromancer but after that for some reason the xp curve went way up, it doesn’t make sense. Update: Upon further inspection the xp curve is not as bad as I thought but still needs to be adjusted IMO.

Bosses literally eat damage, when I fight them solo my normal attacks do like not even an inch of the health bar. As a wizard I kept running out of mana quickly during boss fights and was forced to use my Z attack for the remainder of the battle or until I used a potion, mana regen. All in all I think the boss Hp is a bit to much.
-
Mana regen needs to be adjusted a bit more, I run out very easily very fast, however this seems to be less apparent as I level but still having to stop what I’m doing, run away from mobs and find a good spot to set a campfire is kind of annoying but yea.
-
Currently in game you can’t tell if an NPC has a quest or not unless you talk to them but I actually like this, it makes you explore more, I would keep this the same IMO.
-
Campfires need to regen your health and mana a bit more in my opinion, it seems a bit slow.
-
Bosses are really fun to fight but I think a lot of their attacks are a bit easy to dodge, things like the trap pillars and attack reduction pillars aren’t that threatening, it’s like they’re not even part of the battle sometimes. Update: So the trap pillars and what not seemed to have more of an effect on certain bosses? It’s weird, it seems like the trap pillars only work well for certain bosses but maybe it’s just me.
-
On some quests I noticed that the area your supposed to go to have this giant circle on the map, dictating where your supposed to go and that’s fine but some of those quest circles don’t show up on the minimap, I don’t know if this is intentional or a bug? If it’s not a bug they should show up on the minimap too.

The Lethargy (did I spell it right?) spell for wizard seems like it does almost no damage? I stopped using it after a while cause it seemed to do little to no damage, also I realize it’s a dot but still (if I am wrong please correct me). Update: So I upgraded this spell it still seems like it does nothing, I am using this wrong? Or am I just not notcing the damage?
-
For the fireball spell for pyromancer, this is just my opinion but I think the chance to light something on fire with it needs to be a little higher, even with upgrades a lot of mobs don’t light on fire most of the time.
-
It seems that a lot of zones are chock full of mobs while others have none at all, an example is the mines, on the first floor every corner of that place is full of mobs which is fine but as you descend into the lower floors, the amount of mobs becomes less and less, it just seems like every floor should be like the first in that regard but that’s just me.

I personally think there needs to be a “quests completed” part of the quest log, it might help those who don’t read the quest text, because lets face it not all of us do.
-
Combat feels good and fun, the action style of combat in this is very appealing.
-
Quests definitely do not give enough xp, I’ve myself and a lot of others grinding for levels because the quests gave little xp.
-
The quest descriptions need to be a bit more clear, they are confusing at times.
Update as of 8-10-15:
-
Caught a long delay sometimes when trying to change zones, not sure if it was just lag.
-
Earlier I mentioned that quest didn’t give enough xp and although true, I think there also needs to be more quests.
-
Sometimes during intense fights, my arrow keys stop working, now I initially thought this was my keyboard finally dying but testing it in other games, the arrow keys didn’t lock up. In TOS the arrow keys kept locking up for no reason not sure if it’s a bug or just to much stuff happening on the screen at once?
-
Jumping seems to essential for dodging some attack and avoiding some spells, this is good, not a lot of games with action combat have this kind of mechanic with just simple jumping (not including evasion abilities).
-
I really like how you can add slots to equipment form the get go, no requirements no nothing, so long as you have access the gems and armor your good.
-
Repairing your armor is super easy which is good, the fact that you can select all and repair all at once is awesome.
-
The enhancing equipment feature is pretty awesome, using your money to upgrade your equipment is well worth it.
-
I know economy in an MMO takes a while to get started up in the community but I feel the money curve for mobs and what not could be a little more ramped so they give just a bit more.
-
The grind is real, now I actually do not mind a little grinding but if there is going to be grinding, maybe having certain areas for players to do that in would be good? Kinda like the training maps in Maplestory.
-
In the general store health potions are like 200 or something to buy? While mana potions are like 460 (approximate), I don’t get why the health potions cost less and the mana potions cost so much but yea.
-
World bosses that everyone on the map can see are awesome, I personally think there needs to be more of these around.
This is all I have for right now, I will update this thread in the future as I play more of them game.
Note: I have not played any of the melee classes yet but obviously will after I attain third job in the wizard arc. This feedback is based off my experience with the caster classes thus far. Update: I played the swordsman class a little and it seems fluid from what I played but do not have enough info at this time to critique it.
