Feedback on the state of the game after iCBT Beta

Hi everybody, i’m Chewbi and i participated at the iCBT thanks to a friend who was in the top 1000 (thx Mousha :kissing_heart: ). I will share my in details what’s good/bad at the moment about the game and my opinion on what needs to be work more for the future release (note : I only went to level 32 as an archer).

Overall feedback:

  • 2.5D Graphics, monsters, bosses, NPCs, skills animations and maps are really nice. I was expecting this but not at this scale. Great job from the designers on the art style!
  • Class system is THE strength of this game with the gameplay imo. Everybody will be pleased with this system but a lot of skills need balancing or rework. Attributes are also a cool idea but could need a tweaking.
  • I love the combat system. It’s intuitive and smooth. I can’t wait to get to higher level and party with this huge variety of classes which means huge varieties of strategies and combos.
  • The story seems fine. Not so much to say about the quests. They’re standard.
  • Bosses are just super boring: they are too tanky and slow and just feel buggy (reducing their tankiness and buff their speed would just do the job in my opinion).
  • Good move IMC to hide NPC. It’s a simple but nice feature.
  • As a music lover, the soundtrack of this game is fantastic! I love you ToS composers :wink:

What needs to be work on:

  • More character customizations (tough I saw some hair color could be earned trough achievements and maybe we win more custom items at higher levels).
  • The “Pokedex” (a.k.a Adventure book) is a cool idea but it needs more organization.
  • The chat needs some works too (upper chat is useless).
  • The grind starts too early in the game (around lvl 25, note that there will be 600 levels and it took me around 20 min to do lvl 26 => 27). Maybe buff the experience gains from monster.
  • Faster Hp/SP regenerations while not in fight would not hurt at all.
  • Need an in-game option to choose our hotkeys.
  • Some skills give flat bonus. I really doubt they will be useful at higher levels (maybe change them for % bonus).
  • Do we really need free teleportation each time we end a quest??? (up to players tough)
  • Customizable UI would be great!
  • The English translation. Just keep up the good work Github guys :wink:
  • The Market needs more work.
  • Maps are linear but I remember seeing they’re working on it.
  • Re-fight the bosses you already killed?

Bugs that bugged me :cry: :

  • Bosses HP disappearing while fighting.
  • Quest movies are often bugged.
  • Friendlist not working.

What i want to test (more) for the next CBT (if there are some):

  • The Cash shop
  • Crafting. It seemed simple but effective. Need to test it at higher level.
  • I didn’t test so much the collections, gems, cards and shops but they felt fine for me. Need to test it at higher level too.

Overall the game is following my expectations, i had a lot of fun and i hope everybody will debate about the pros, the cons and what needs to be work on for the game to be better for the release :smile:
