Layouts & Design
- There is a lot of NPC placement that needs work because of their Quest Flag icons being hidden by environment graphics.
- Environment graphics are the parts that need to be transparent when our characters are being hidden by it, not give us a silhouette of our character.
- Remove the FPS & Ping Counter or at least give us an option to do so
- Fix typographical errors or name inconsistencies (for example, Wings of Vaivora and Wings of Vibora)
- Allow collection materials to be placed via right-click like the Storages.
- Have the Party Search Engine actually work.
- There seems to be a left click bug when switching to items from equipment in the inventory.
- Pressing shift opens up Steamās chat mode. I know some other games have this, but since Tree of Savior is only available on Steam and doesnāt have another client, this needs to be fixed.
Class Balance & Character Progression
- Have the official website show all of the abilities and classes of the characters. Unofficial databases should not be our primary source of information. The reason for this is there are paths that are simply not compatible with each class, making it difficult for a player who doesnāt visit other database websites.
- Show the recommended weapon for each class. Most of the time, the path you want to take for a class should be based on the weapon you choose, so putting that information during the Advancement process will allow players to understand the path they are going to take.
- Swordsmen have a more difficult time in Team Battle League than any other class simply because of range. Perhaps give more classes some ranged abilities or maybe extend the range of some attacks (good example of a bit of a ranged attack is Zwerchhau for Doppelsƶldners).
Game Design
- Rank 8 is incredibly difficult, considering Rank 1 to 7 can be easily soloād. A lot of people may find this as a dealbreaker, I for one find it refreshing. However, the mob density and numbers are just too outrageous that a player cannot actually do a little bit of the content solo. (Swordsmen need to have high HP, Clerics & Wizards need to have their buffs while Archers can just fade and breeze through).
- Increase the Party Count or Allow Dual Parties. I went to Timerys Temple with my questing party and there was another questing party in the area. I wish that we could participate in quests together rather than being competitive with each other regarding quest tasks.
- Attributes costing so much allow the player to always have something to do because your silver will always go somewhere. I like that a lot.
- Collection items may be too harsh in terms of drop rates such as Sauga Motor Drive (for TWO collections), etc.
- Having Macro AFK EXP Leech classes such as Warlocks is QUESTIONABLE in my opinion. A lot of players actually make use of āleveling servicesā or ābooster partiesā to rush through the content. I do believe that Tree of Savior is a hardcore game that should not be rushed. I would understand if this is your 5th character or whatever, but having characters not go through the experience of the game by just leaving their characters in the safety of others, makes them high level players without any knowledge or gear for their characters.
- The floating bridge in the Level 240 Dungeon is QUESTIONABLE at best. Having disconnects, stutters, rubber banding and even the floating bridge disappearance bug begs me to ask why this was put in the game. It was a fun idea, if the game did not experience any connection issues, but as long as this issue persists, please just connect the zone architecture.
- Please INCREASE the amount of FREE cosmetics in the game. Having 10 hair styles just wonāt cut it in 2017. Even Ragnarok Online had at least customizable hair color. I honestly expect at least 20 to 30 free hair styles with changeable hair colors for everyone.
Optimization & Performance
- Stuttering when bringing up World Map or Zone Map (especially when running as Swordsmen), even worse freezing when bringing up the maps in dungeons.
- Option of removing damage by other players should also remove their buff text such as Concentrate, etc.
- I love what the developers are doing, trying to optimize the game so that 100 players using abilities can still enjoy the game without lag. However, even as a solo player in a field you will still experience a lot of stuttering.
- The disconnects Iām sure IMC is already aware of, especially in the SEA servers (Telsiai for me) are rage-inducing when you are doing instance dungeons or request centers.
GM/Staff & IMC
- They are very friendly (imo) considering the amount of negativity that lurks forums, the game itself and even the subreddit they get.
- The toxic bot users really need to go. Thereās no need for explanations because they can always make up some kind of excuse.
- The events are what keep me rolling in the game, I love it. IMC knows there are some development issues with the game and they are really trying to make up for it with fun events that give a lot of free stuff.
- I enjoy the fact that cash shop items can be sold on the market. This actually makes it Pay To Win, considering the fact that silver is pretty much your driving force in this game other than your time and patience to grind/farm. However, this makes it fair for those power players who avoid spending on the game at all costs. In my opinion, having what a paying player can do also be done by a non-paying player does not make it a Pay To Win game but makes it a Pay To Get Ahead game if anything.
Overall
I love the game. Itās probably my favorite game this 2016 (I started playing around November 11, 2016 and Iām currently level 300 now). Itās not a perfect game by any means. Iād even rate it objectively a 6/10 with all of the issues. BUT, I know it can improve and can be a VERY GOOD MMORPG, the way it was envisioned to be. It saved me from Dota 2 which I have played 3666 hours of. I uninstalled Dota 2, looking for a better overall community experience and the game has been great for me. Partying in Rank 8 content is incredibly fun and refreshing. I have spent $5 on a Token for 30 days and that seems like a reasonable price to pay for the game so that I can enjoy it a lot more while giving support to the game. While I am quite excited for Rank 9 content, I am thoroughly enjoying my first characterās progression and this will actually be the first MMORPG that I will reach level cap in. Thank you IMC & NEXON, more power!
