Sooo, the christmas event of 2017 is ended, was it good? Or bad? Well the playerbase are divided into two groups, those who liked it clearly are the ones who could complete it at the first two weeks, and was able to get the double prize, the other group consists of playes who did not, and ended up forgeting the event, or ignoring it.
For me, i kinda liked it, because it was an event the is original to me, and even though i struggled like hell i could make it to the portal in the end, but that took me some time.
Here is the original information and event details: https://treeofsavior.com/page/news/view.php?n=1197
I want to give some feedback about this event:
-
Objective of the mission is totally missleading. “A terrible thing has happened! On his way to deliver presents to the Kingdom, Santa hit his sleigh on the peak of a mountain, causing it to tip over and drop all of the gifts! Now Christmas is in the hands of Santa’s fearless helpers. Venture into the dangerous mountain and find the lost presents before nightfall!” You could run around the map like an idiot, but you could never find the lost presents. Instead, if you carefully make your way up through those platforms, you will eventually come across a portal that will lead you to your present.
-
Isometric view and platforming don’t really fit together
especially if your retarded genes activates and places platforms all around the map that are half transparent. You want us to complete the mission or fail? Decide it please. -
The jumps: only a few were really tricky (for me atleast). Some jumps required you to leap from the very edge of the platform.

-
Moving platforms.

Wasting time with those! You are in a hurry, but the platform is going DOWN! Or its up and you can just go for it, but than when you leap, it suddenly descends and you fall! -
The portal at the end
Really? Why placing a portal at the end, i want to have whats in the end of the mission, of course i want to go inside the portal, why do i have to push the button to go through??!

-
Movement buff in the last minute.
Good idea, but effect is really not needed. It actually messes with the enviroment.
Overall:
Nice event with some really good prizes. The difficulty is reasonable and its just gives you the feeling that you should not miss this. For a daily event that is available for a few weeks, it has flaws and good ideas too. Just what we except fom IMC. Half decent, half bullsh!t. Make more of these, but with less sh!t.
