Favorite archer build you've played so far?

A2QS3SR2 - my favorite so far and my first archer, put it on hold 3 weeks ago after ktos Retreat Shot nerf but playing after playing a variety of archers, it’d only made me lose interest in the game so I picked it up again.

A1QS3Wu2Cannoneer - retired

A3Wu2 - retired

A2R1Wu2SR1 - retired

A2R1S1 - in progress

Ar1 / QS3 / Ar2 maybe.

So far im having lots of fun, the build crits around 40 to 60% but the problem is I need to invest in some serious gear (+15 Grand Cross and elemental proc)

Which one is better for farming qs or scout?

i’m curious about your qs3wu2cannoneer

how was it? was this full str build?

played alot but Archer2/Sapper2/Rogue/Ranger/Musketeer is my favorite right now

A3 Scout1 Hunt1 Falcon1 Cannon1

EDIT: The “press all the buttons” build.

I’m at A1>QS3. Running shot is just awesome. My fav so far.

Now I just need to figure out where to go. Thinking of musk as final destination but SR looks nice too.

Either QS c3 or Scout c3 are my favourite ones. Also build that has ranger c1, rqgue c1 are cool too.

@evrencp

I like Scout 3 better, because of split Arrow hitting 3 monsters for a huge damage.
It also comes with cloaking, that is very useful for late game farming survivability.

But Qs3 might be cheaper, because you don’t have to bring a lot of sp pots every time you go farming.

I guess te biggest diference between qs3 and Scout 3, is that one is more single target oriented, so the farming may be slower.

Edit: I forgot to mention that with Scout, you can get big damage against flying mobs.
Switching weapons after running Shot would make it lose about 80% damage and duration, since you probably’d have a Grand cross.

Yes it was a full STR build but with 21 CON. The reason why I dropped it was because it was supposed to be my ET build for my party but the more I played it and realize some of its mechanics/scaling, the more I’ve become to dislike it after realizing its shortcomings. If I went musketeer I probably would’ve kept playing it for bossing.

These are just some of my findings and my own personal opinion.

Wugushi: skills scales at 1:1 with physical attack. Testing with my +13 grand cross and switching to my superior kracked shooter, I gained a total of 151 max physical attack and my WugongGu also gained a max of 151 more damage per poison tick. The class is reliant on other classes in order to maximize it’s damage. We’re talking Linker’s joint penalty, Pardoner’s Discerning Evil and hoping maybe the mobs are flying for 2x poison damage on flying mobs with a bow or weak against poison for +50% poison damage.

Needle Blow: scales terribly - linear. It looks good early game but once I started leveling my attribute, I noticed it was increasing at about 4 damage per attribute for each poison tick and it remains that way both at Lv160 and again at 230 concluding it doesn’t scale based on my physical attack. Imagine getting it’s attribute to lv100 just for 400 more dmg per tick 12000 damage overall for a Wu2.

WugongGu: again scales terribly - linear (other classes scales multiplicative). Like needle blow it scales linear as well but better than needle blow at 10 damage more per poison tick per attribute level. Again that’s 1000 damage more per poison damage tick and about 30000 overall damage for Wu2.

Throw Gu Pot: contrary to popular beliefs this skill is actually quite weak. The only good thing about it is it’s a true AoE. It’s weaker than WugongGu even though it hits harder per tick, it’s short. 2 hits per second for 5 second (it doesn’t hit for the first second) totaling 10 hits on a 35 second CD. The only way to maximize it was to somehow get a mob to stand in it for 4s and run out to take another 4s of residual poison which is impractical.

tl:dr Wugushi skills scales horribly late game compared to other classes and their attributes. It eventually gets overshadowed and just becomes complimentary damage because it has to run it’s full duration in order to even maximize. Single target however is amazing because of stacking Needle Blow and WugongGu when with QS route.

Cannoneer: AoE disappointed me (remember ET focused) you need AoE attack ratio without falconer.

Cannon Shot: 8 AoE attack ratio
Cannon Blast: 10 AoE attack ratio

so what would you do for ET as archer? @Punkd

Sapper’s broom trap has a low base damage, but it can be amplified by crits (x1.5) and letahrgy attribute (x2) and that’s why it has so much damage potential as AoE. The reason it combos well with wugushi is because it can actually spread wugong gu very fast.

But true AoE damage in ET would probably go to SR2.

By the way, what are you planning on doing with your A2R1S1, got me curious

My preferred ET build would consists of A2R1Wu2SR2

Although it contradicts what I’ve said earlier and because we have the nerfed steady aim, SR2 will still be archer’s strongest continuous AoE DPS. And because we don’t have ktos’s steady aim, we have to make up for the lack of damage and Wugushi is just that class to make up for it.

The only other build I can think of that can safely attack from a distance will be A3Wu2Falc1Cannoneer in order to still give some support to the team. The only problem with this build is we’ve yet to confirm if the Circling nerf in ktos that disallow negative -AoE attack ratio is true or not. We’ve yet to receive discrete evidence. So far we’ve only heard from two sources that falconer is only good with cannoneer now which will hit Multishot + Circling hard if it is true.

I planned on it to make iDreamy’s build in preparation for Hackapeller.

hold on… is that skill on number 3 slot is twin arrows right? it has like 5 overheat charge? or they buff it from 2 to 5?

it is 5 overheat charge now

so far… my A1>QS1>QS2>QS3>A2>Scout1>Musketeer1 build. currently at rank 5 and i’m enjoying every moment of it. a lot more enjoyable than my first attempt at an archer build.

Hi @Punkd, does that means that if mobs stay inside the whole 6 secs duration of Throw Gu Pot, after it ends their poison won’t last an addition 4 secs from the attribute since they are “out” of it"?

That’s correct. The residual poison attribute only applies if they exit the poison pool before it ends.

So far QS C3 > Falc. I may be rerolling because falconer is so boring and the only skill that is usefull is Circling, not my kind of DPS character and the falcon seems to take 1 slot of your character lodge!
