Sonic strike is just like any other skill that targets an area, its execution is instanttaneous unlike hovering which has an animation tied to its start.
They “can” be used at the same time for the time being, it’s a “feature” as you may call it. whenever goes back to its intended way, no. You may use sonic strike before or after hovering but not during hovering nor circling.
Sonic strike is a first row buff that makes hawk use either hovering or sonic strike at the available skill level from the Falconer, it’s not a skill that’s remotely alike blitz beat, that would be sonic strike. It is also not a % chance tied to the non existant luck stat, it uses a skill like every 5 seconds. Currently it uses any of those two skills at random, that made some people go hovering level 0 as it’s not really diserable since sonic strike deals more damage to more targets and doesn’t have a long animation and must choose a random target from within the area of effect.

Last night I try to feed my falcon but it keep show no food but I buy all kind of food it can’t feed my hawk
I think first strike doesn’t need to be aim, while active your falcon automatically attacks every 5s, not like % chance with auto attack RO style.

Thanks for all the answers, another question, more related to the Q3. Do people find FULL STR is good? I am currently FULL STR looking to reset to some DEX with the gem update, any thoughts on this?
If u just want pve sure full str will be good build but if u in Tbl or pvp ur accuracy back a big problem b4 I’m a full str wugushi I keep miss in TBL so it was depend wht kind of play style u aiming if ur dps style build Dex will be good bcs ur dps let the crit chance be more high

first strike auto casts sonic or hovering to your target, no need to manually cast it, it will auto deploy to target until dead
given the recent upgrades to gems and hair accessory, it is better to roll pure dex for most archer builds, wugu still benefit from high str, others can go pure dex and rely on gems/hair accessory/transcend for damage
Yeah I am about to reset to FULL DEX as well. I find that FULL STR is nice in that since we do so much sustain damage that raw damage outweighs the crits. I mean when we do CRIT it is NICE, I crit about once every 6 or 7 attacks. Though I think now that crit rate has such a low stat gain from gem as oppose to other offensive stat, it makes it pretty much obsolete in that we should just invest our points into DEX and spend our money on every other stat.
For auto attackers, do you think we will benefit more from red gems or yellow gems? Considering if I re-roll to full DEX, I think in the long run yellow will benefit me more if I crit 7 to 8 times out of 10?
What do you think about FULL DEX, YELLOW GEMS MAIN HAND, RED GEM OFFHAND, and TRANSCENDENCE?

i am unsure how running shot damage is computed, i am unsure if crit attack is being multiplied or not… if it is not being multiplied then red gem is better in main hand
this is okay, but i would wait for the new attributes to come to itos before leveling hovering since sonic strike does better damage and has aoe

I’ve been theorycrafting a falc3 for myself lately (IMC broke my last archer - PSA dagger mastery will break werewolf cards). A-QS3-Ro-Falc3 with NO IDEA what falconer skills to take.

That is exactly right. The latest content just swung everything in favor of DEX. I already have costumes 1,2,3 each with 100+ atk with a ledas shield [red gem] ready for 400+ atk.

The thing with full STR is just good only for pre 200 content because there are just straight up better options to getting atk.
Here’s some stuff I tried with my archer before it broke.With 2 yellow gems I get 540 crit damage but, if i use [running shot] I get more than just 540 more damage when I crit. In fact I think (really hard to track because of how [running shot] is a fake multi hit that oscillates how it splits the damage) I get over 1k more crit damage. With [backstab] + karacha set, 270 crit damage adds 4k damage. So crit damage isn’t just added at the end.
Now for my own questions. I will be taking rogue (over scout) because I already have 10*werewolf cards x6. That means I will have 70% flat crit chance from behind and 56% everywhere else. That said I won’t need as much DEX and with current content, I won’t need STR either. So would I be building CON:DEX instead? The CON would make sense because I won’t have cloaking for “oh ■■■■” moments (I don’t think [hanging shot] would be enough).
there is no change to hovering, ktos only added attribute to first strike so you can select which skill it will enable/disable between hovering and sonic strike…
currently if you learn both skill, first strike will use both sonic and hovering one at a time

something like that, interval is actually 4 seconds per attack
1st sec - hovering
5th sec - sonic strike
9th sec - hovering
13th sec, 17th sec and so on
it will alternate between hovering and sonic strike if both skill is learned
my setup is 0 lvl hovering, so my first strike its always sonic strike
doesn’t it bug when your falcon about to use skill then you use circling? so once you hit falconer 3 you can remove sonic strike and hovering on your hotbar?? and are they free to cast or it automatically consumes mana?
