none, only one possible stats is shield with 2 socketed red gems. The hawk is invisible anyway, so wont need any defense
train: flying companion is cheap to maxed out
sonic strike 50 is only 2.8m silver
first priority will be circling: expand attribute

Shield + red gem doesnā€™t increase any patk on my hawk too. So try first with existing gear before you commit to it.

TBH I donā€™t really cast Circling that much but probably itā€™ll be difference once I reach 315 for Aufgowle. As long as you can get decent aoe atk ratio, you donā€™t need circling everytime. Iā€™m saying this because the Circling attribute is 25m to max :expressionless: and Iā€™ll probably keep it at lvl 5 until rebalance come.

Btw @megamanex14

  • Minotaur Card effects will now apply to Archer missile attacks as intended.
    Itā€™s coming ;D

hmm, anyone thinking about going Hackapelle on R9 for mobility?

Archer C1 -> Ranger C3 -> Rogue C1 -> Falconer C3 -> Hackapelle C1

and on pvp, Hovering + Hackapelle melee skills paired with 4x Mino and 5x Temple
for Stun and Silence goodness

or, Circling + Aiming + Pheasant for instant nuke

currently that Hovering and Pheasant damage at ktest is at 1168% at Lv.15

group pvp is all about dishing out damage and CC
with all the chaos, itā€™s hard to micro manage too much

will not have that much of a problem with Missile Hole
because of Falconer C3 and Hackapelle C1 skills

and on R10 Appraiser if Pied Piper is not that good?

edit: does Full Draw + Spiral Arrow burst damage still work?

i will comment for circling+aiming+pheasant
1.this can only be done using captured circling, i think
2.everytime i use circling+aiming i reflect trying to squeeze as many DPS as i can. using pheasant on circling+aiming wont be a waste?

i think itā€™s not a waste, i noticed that if you use Pheasant,
the hawk goes away after using the skill, the only method to
prevent this is having Pre-Emptive Strike turned on, and
continue attacking the targets so that auto Sonic Strike triggers
after the mini animation from Pheasant finishes when its
done hitting targets.

also, on Pheasant, that stun attribute is bad, better to use the knock down.

with regards to captured circling, havenā€™t thought about it,
does Capture also take the attribute effect?

@Composition @megamanex14 https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=_C4oCBIhYE8

hawk flying in circle 10 second animation cant be interrupted, right? if it cant be interrupted, then we cant use pheasant while circling
by waste i mean the DPS of pheasant compared to multishot is very small
yes, captured circling also has expand attribute, tested it

hmm, i think circling can be interrupted with pheasant, let me test later after maintenance.

oh, the context i was referring to was PvP on my previous post, about the instant nuke, but yeah, combining the knockdown of Pheasant with multishot is good

ah forgive me, i have zero experience at pvp :stuck_out_tongue:
wouldnt knock down make the already clustered enemies separated again?

yes it will, it kinda helps me not get killed easily with all the high level mobs with a ton of HP

but if DPS checks are a concern, gotta stay away from Pheasant in PvE

Already saw the video, isā€¦ kind ofā€¦ hard to watch, excuse me.

Anyyywayā€¦

Circling can be interrupted by pheasant, that one is supposedly intended. you can al so interrupt it with sonic strike if you use circling > call > call (because one call is never enough ;ā€™( ) > whatever.

Even with roost out you must use call.

its cool that circling effect still remains when its interrupted

at ktest, i wonder how much damage it will give if Circling+Aiming+Lv.15 Pheasant
(with that 1168% damage under the effects of Aiming and Circling expand)

so having Lv.5 Circling and Lv.3 Hovering as minimum, can still max out Pheasant (https://tos-ktest.neet.tv/skill-planner#314449eeeā€¦1135435f618ab5c5)

hahaha, i was afraid hawk will get stuck in the air so i never dare to use any hawk skill while circling animation is in progress. Iā€™ve never been so wrong. Still hard to decide whether sonic strike is fake or true multihit based on that video.

It is a very very fake multihit, if you were to go to say yellow leafnut, and achieve 199K damage, it would just simply display 199K instead of 199k times whatever.

You can achieve 199K with full draw and a transcendance 4 lv 315 weapon very easily. also, if you hit an enemy under circling with sonic strike, it will just replicate 1 hit instead of many.

how to do this? i have full draw with maxed def decrease attribute and stage 4 lv 315 bow

Iā€™m sorry, the setup for that is: a yellow leafnut, perhaps I was too ambiguous, my apologies.

Yellow leafnut is an air enemy, so reaching such numbers with sonic strike and full draw is quite easy, mostly because that enemy is also weak to strike damage.

errā€¦ non falconer build will have hard time reaching dmg cap only using lv 315 2h bow and fulldraw? with other skill maybe?

Because two reasons:
1st: Rush Dog eats away your SP pretty quickly if you dare to level it up and 2nd:
has mediocre damage at best [not better than Twin Arrow but actually worse; Twin Arrow is perfect to make use of the Circling damage spread attribute e.g.].

Level 15 Rush dog is 222%*5 hits without overheat = 1110% damage.
It costs 91 SP per use. If you have the Stun attribute activated, thatā€™s 100 SP.

Meanwhile, looking at level 5 Twin Arrow. Twin Arrow is now a true multihit skill that deals 251%*2 hits with 3 overheat and 7 seconds CD time.
SP costs are 26 per use = 78 SP for 3 uses. Itā€™s also affected by ASPD now,so itā€™s easy to spam during e.g. Kneeling Shot.

Now looking at the damage, level 5 Twin Arrow deals 502%x3= 1506%[DPS = 1506%/7 seconds= 215,14%] for 5 skillpoints and 78 SP invested, while Rushdog deals 222%x5=1110%[DPS= 222%] for 15 skillpoints and 91-100 SP invested.
Btw, if you get a Siaulab Archer gem for Twin Arrow, thatā€™s another 122,4% damage [~17,5% more DPS] for just 6 more spent SP every 7 seconds.

As one needs a reliable skill to level through the game, Twin Arrow and Archer C3 seems more reliable. You get more points for Kneeling Shot & Swift Step and more damage for Oblique Shot/Heavy Shot.
As the duration of Retrieve, Snatching and Coursing is now fixed at around 5 seconds, itā€™s not worth overinvesting here(and not possible if you put many skillpoints into that underwhelming Rush Dog).
