just finished my main char at rank 8 class 15, thinking of doing a falc3 alt, what do you guys think about this rainbow build? viable in pve, pvp and solo boss hunts? thinking that future skill update are now percent based damage instead of static base damage.

lastly, has anyone upgraded their pet stats? how much stat you got with the ideal invested cost? and, is the pet level only limited to Lv.400?

Just making it clear to people that what @Composition means by enemies in circling, its 2 or more enemies.

Archer C1:

  • Swift Step at that level and rank are not really taken, but it’s up to you.

Falconer C1-C3:

  • You don’t have to have circling that high. You can leave it at 5. Though, it’s all up to you.

Everything else I will not comment on. If this suits your playstyle, then who am I to judge.

I only upgrade my cash pet. I do not upgrade it too much as it is expensive and generally not really worth it in the short run. This should really only be done if you have completed every avenue of upgrades possible (money wise), your only/main character, you really use pet often, and will never(ever!) use a different pet. It is pretty much a money sink.

To answer your question, I only add attack and evasion.

Currently pet level is limited to the same max level of characters. (330)

at 2:15 i think sonic strike is still fake multihit

Fake multi hits are still “fake” in the sense that “1 crit = all crit” or “1 dodge = all dodge” or “1 block = all block” effect. However, the % value in the description now should correctly display each line’s damage (tested on Ranger’s Spiral Arrow).

If you disregard the damage from Blessing, it should work out correctly from his video.

Which means = 1 hit and there’s no need for it to be fake multihit, they could do just the same without obfuscating the actual damage dealt by the skill.

Why are they doing this? it’s unknown by me, it is silly if you truly think about it, but it is what we get, but I’d rather they got rid of fake multihits and turned all into true multihit or single hit skills, they could rework them accordingly there’s no disadvantage in destroying fake multihits.

What’s the role of hunter now? It seems that hunter is a damage dealer now, why haven’t they made coursing / retrieve work on bosses yet?

Hope they start thinking straight and define a role identity soon. meaning they redesign the whole kit accordingly, they keeping skills as they were only changing damage formulas and decreasing times in an attempt to balance is destroying and morphing hunter into a damage dealer, and he’s looking to be a decent one at that, minus boss damage though…

Might want to change from green to red and make growling be a mini frost cloud next…

I wonder what will we be left with at the end.

From the video you showed at minute 1:08. Is that snatching on ground enemies? he blew coursing’s charge into nothing, he hasn’t used retrieve and snatching has one oveheat. Seems he only got one enemy though, but… that makes us be true damage dealers next… could it be we finally got AoE potential?

Hmm it does seem to be he used snatching but it is still restrained to be an air unit exclusive. perhaps it was just a delaying coursing, quite usual sigh

Does anyone know how easy to get attributes is it in that version?
At first glance I find it silly that they’d have to pay full price in order to get all attributes, in a test server…

i was thinking of having a balanced build, PvE and PvP wise,
or maybe just go with 3STR for block pen and get accuracy somewhere else?

or it’s better to just remain on that kind of distribution (1:2:2) considering stats will be changed soon

It looks like it is snatching. I slowed it down and saw the debuff on the enemy. The weird part was that the pet looked like it was stuck in a coursing animation though.
Yeah the prices for attributes are same.

Heh, silly, why would they do that? they think that people can so easily get 400 million? Regardless of the actual ease, because people have been doing just that in the live version, they should make attributes free to get in a test version if they truly want to be thorough with their testing.

The changes really make me wanna try Archer3>Hunter 2>Falconer3.
All points into CON and SPR.

Also, Hunter 3 > archer 3, growling is so dreamy.

I currently stat 1:1:2 Con:Spr:Dex
It works for me (honestly I have too much Spr). With the stat changes and my build change that I plan to do, I will be going (mabye) 1:5-10 Spr:Dex

@Composition Any proof? I mean I know the companion attribute has rush dog in it now… If so I’m not to sad, but only if rush dog is still the true damage beast it is like it currently is now. You know what I’m talking about, that beautiful, unmitigated damage. The damage that doesn’t trigger Kabbal x7 when attacking.

The attribute is the only lead.

And, if that lead is true, say good bye to that dream, because it will be just like coursing / retrieve triggering sub zero, revenged and whatever else triggers on melee attacks.

Rush dog formula is also weird, as it is like 222,6% x 5 if it is archer’s damage then it could be better… the only mystery I have is where the hell does the additional damage from the companion go.

If this turns to be true the very thin line that divided sonic strike from rush dog will be gone.

This will also ruin the aspect of pets being able to tank.

Will have to retrieve clerics out of their safety zone THEN murder them in this case. It always was a bit of a quirky thing though.

Also means that Hunters won’t be able to beat players in friendly duels that are 100 levels above them since player damage is mitigated but Rush Dog being true damage from the pet never received any mitigation caused by the level difference between players. Winning duels despite ridiculous level differences was always a bit fun.

If the damage is mitigated now then I think Hunters will get less excited about the buff to 500%. It might be buffed to 500% but it won’t be ignoring armour/defence/etc so it’s going to come down in damage by a lot, at least in PVP and vs armoured enemies.

Eh? that has been the case since long ago.
Rush dog hasnt ignored ausrine/safety zone for quite a while now, it also is blockable, possible to dodge and absolutely it is mitigated by defense.
It has been like that since maybe november last year, very near after rank 8 hit us, couple of hidden patches and voila.

I believe it was during the first targeting fix.

Nvm your right. It does debuff the enemy, but goes away. You can see it again at 2:02 in the video.
