Didn’t you get curious when people around the same level as you are already have ‘companions’ while you still think its too expensive?
They can just take the companion from their main character.
I should praise the developer about this.
Simple macro don’t work on ToS. I’m not sure what kind of defence mechanism they use, but macro beginner won’t be able to use macro on ToS.
I think regardless of whether the exploits are efficient or effective, it definitely doesn’t look good and gives a bad image of the game. Randomizing the spawn locations sounds like a reasonable fix. Hope the devs find a solution to this.
Yeah…i mean the moment i saw for the first time the quick respawn it was like…ohh this is going to be bad. I want the companion but in a fair way.
But yeah…seeing those guys with pets at low lvl kinda piss me off xD
Doesn’t work because archers auto target in the area, that would only be effective against melees.
Pets are usable across the entire account/team. I can buy a pet on my level 1xx character with way too much silver to care and send it over to a fresh level 1. Seeing low levels with a pet means nothing and this “money farm” is terrible and inefficient anyway.
theres also the voucher from classes that have them as core, such as hunter, that you can just acquire, redeem, then use the companion on another character to level its attributes or levels themselves, then feed to your lowbie character anyway =/
then there are people that do the same thing on places that give mats for crafting, some of them that got very low spawn rate and not many channels to add insult to injury, that is the only issue i have with the kind of behavior the OP and quite a few of the other posters so kindly pointed out to us.
wasnt there a Reaper idea suggested to counter the whole paper weight thing?
Eh, I don’t use the method, but I don’t mind it too much either. If all channels get flooded by this and rare trade goods get completely devalued, that would be annoying, but I can’t really see that happening.
The poster earlier that mentioned making 700k in a short amount of time did it by actively farming, the other methods won’y generate near as much money.
This is a big game, with a huge advancement in what you get later on. Even at level 60 I’m making more just questing in a few hours than someone doing the kill big red kepa over and over routine all night.
One thing I do sincerely hope though, is that major money sinks are introduced into the game. Cosmetic items and pets that costs tens of millions or more to get so we don’t end up with the RO inflation.
Oh man, I think you are under a BIG misunderstanding. The goods were never meant to have value, they were meant to be NPC’d or Gem enhancing fodder, nonetheless, gives money.
The post about the 700k was not legit farming, the person was showing how powerful this exploit was because he/she did it them self. A level 34 archer with 15k mob kills?
He said specifically that he killed everything, looted, and changed channels without waiting for respawns. That’s legitimate farming, and very different from standing in one place auto attacking for long periods of time. It’s even more different than the op, which was standing in one place hitting an exact creature spawn. This guy is talking of clearing whole areas, which you can’t afk and do.
Besides, level 34 is way past the point of getting any appreciable level of xp from level 10 and below mobs. You could probably kill a hundred thousand and not hit level 40.
Edit: I killed 500 mobs for the black hair achievement in about half an hour. If I’d been killing other monsters as well, it’d easily triple that number. I think I’ll test that when I get off work and see if I can reach 3,000 kills in an hour
this form of farming loses its luster around lvl 40. It becomes much more profitable to farm while roaming then.
yeah i can’t think of any area where i can make about 1k per minute, care to elaborate?
meanwhile…
went to get the large red kepa entry on my cryo and this is what i stumbled upon :\
http://imgur.com/z5rNuzo
jumped channels a bit and the situation as more or less the same on both spawns.
to be honest, i would rather crawl my way tp chapel 2f with my barb friend and kill stuff there
edit: tried pushing them around with ice wall, not those, but on some other guy i found some time later, it was funny xD
? if a monster spawns at one end of the map? the archer in another?
just use wizard? skill to knock them all back and giggle as they auto attack nothing
omg, 96k per 8 hours away? 96k right now is 10m in some level 150 maps with good density…
I tried this yesterday, i known it a good spot but hadn’t try it cause i’m lazy cat. And i see it the good thing if aker farmer there.
It’s tricky, but you can actualy steal loots from them by lure the Kepa out of it spawm point. Or even if you can’t, it still many they can’t loot and you can steal.
I farm for 2h, even i’m a swordman class and i have 80 str. My inventory full about even 10mins. But the aker still can loot thing. And i make about 80k, and up my gem from lvl 3 to lvl 5.
So it not a big deal for aker farmer there, but it help for new player.
It good, but not so broken.
At a high lvl player, you can make around 100k - 1m/day depend on the time you play and your luck, and it’s better than this that you have good exp and equipment. This spot is not worth for high lvl.
I finally checked how much money i can make in 10 hours afking.
I made around 60k silver pure.
+40 k silver from loot.
This needs to go xD.
No wonder people inflate prices on really needed items. There’s enough money to go about it …
