I have purchased most of my TP buying EXP tomes and I have already used most of them in the past only to find out EXP tomes don’t give what it’s supposed to give. We’re spending money here and we’re supposed to be getting 30%, is there any way IMC could compensate?
this is not a bug, it is working correctly.
it is just not working the way you assumed it did.
to summarize the link @tsigetartseht posted…
exp tomes add 30% of the BASE exp of the mob, onto the pile of other bonuses you already get.
when you kill a mob, and gain XXXX exp, that isn’t the base gain, that’s the modified gain.
Ayt thanks mate for this information.
Watch this
why in heck did you necro this thread 3 weeks after it was abandoned…
Even if the tome applies 30% to the base exp of the mob, the fact of the matter is that it doesn’t come out to a 30% gain.
Particularly because that base EXP increase is actually quite little when weighted against the other stacking EXP bonuses.
This is like saying that you had a 50% discount on your newly bought pair of boots, but they don’t tell you that only the left side is being discounted. It’s still fraud.
if you get 400% of base exp without the tome… and 430% with the tome, that’s “+30%”.
all exp bonuses are -additive- in this game, not multiplicative.
there’s nothing fraudulent about it. you just didn’t understand how it works.
also… geezuz… another idiot that can’t math, and still necro’s a dead post.
