EXP Rates are OK

its cbt and u have no idea about the max lvl. talking about xp rates? :-1:

So we can’t talk about early game exp rates? Is that not a part of the game? you don’t think you know it might put people off if they have to grind for 8 hours only a short while into the game?

Yeah, but that was kinda after all the discussion had been going for a good while, and there was still people in the forums trying to crusade for the rates to stay the same.

@Majeer Google Slipperly Slope logical fallacy. It’ll explain what the 1000x rates people actually do.

Buddy, did you seriously read the bottom section of my earlier comment? They made it slow to prevent cbt players from finishing the game before it even began.
Your argument doesn’t make any sense at all because i didn’t asked why it was slow, i stated that it was slow for a reason.

You got the paraphrasing wrong.

Again it’s not about the test environment it’s about the people who believe this exp right to be good and are wanting it to be in release. That’s who he’s arguing with, you’ve posted it plenty of times i’m pretty sure we all new even before that too.

Ok i generally don’t do this but i read your post for the 20th time, just to be sincere.

So you state that the EXP rate is slow.

But then you go on to say that you know why it is slow, because devs didn’t want you to reach max level.

So is it really slow in this context? If you still think the EXP rate is slow then you are not taking the 2nd part into consideration (game not ready yet). If you took the 2nd part into consideration, then how can you say the EXP is slow? (Because devs wanted you to test up to ~lvl 80 only.)

Now that I typed this out, I think I understand the problem. You are speaking on 2 separate context.

From the lvl 600 max level context, EXP rate is slow. (but who cares about this context)

However, from lvl 80 iCBT (didn’t want you to reach max level context), EXP rate is understandable (i.e. not slow).

So I think we are in agreement all along.

OK, so you changed your view on the exp rate from ā€œIts OKā€ to ā€œUnderstandableā€. Alright that fine with me.
I’ll change mine from ā€œSlowā€ to ā€œUnderstandably Slowā€.
I think we reached a conclusion here.

Yup I think we quite understand each other now.

However I never said ā€œits OKā€ regarding EXP rate. This is what I said:

Again we all new about the proposed reasons behind the slow exp rates, you don’t have to argue that anymore. It was just the people defending the exp rates in the name that they actually liked them and wanted them to be in release regardless of what other people think and despite it being said it was for testing purposes. That’s really all this has ever been about.

Well summed up. Either way it doesn’t make sense to argue about EXP rates in a Beta. Which was what I was saying initially:

First of all i am German so i don’t count into the ā€œasian super grinderā€ yet i have fun to party up and talk in teamspeak while grinding all together for hours and hours and hours - i remember the time back in RO we just partied up late night and went into a full 12 hours grind per day during weekends. We done this over and over and over with multiple classes and it took months to do so. As i mentioned in another thread this is CBT - you cant tell if the EXP rate is fine or if its not - cause you simply never reached the Max possible level for its release - why? because the Max Level possible is impossible to reach during this CBT1. So people who claim the rate is okay please STOP cause this will never be the rate for the release! It’s just for CBT1!!! And taking into account that we have dozen of possible chances to create characters i really don’t wanna level up one single character for half a year to reach max level. Thats just my personal opinion. I would like to have a Character at cap within 1-2 Months considering 6 hours of gameplay per day. That’ll be completly fine. If you reach cap with a single Character after a Month be my guest and create a new one to level it up - you gonna love it cause it’s a whole new experience! Rather than levling for half a year with the same Character and same old skills to cap.

What are you talking about dude, Pre-renewal levelling was easy till level 70. It took a while sure, but I could certainly reach level 70 within the week, which at the time (on release) was 3/4 of the game. I don’t understand what you are trying to say.

Yes I am in a hurry, I want to max my first character as quickly as possible as to try out other characters, I don’t mind it if it takes 2 months to max my first character, maybe even 3 if I don’t know all the levelling spots. I don’t want it to take 2 years to max 3 characters however (not including getting the gear required).

I was commenting on the exp as it is now, and how it should be changed during the beta, compared to a released grinding game which we all know about… Why is this confusing?

As much as i appreciate your opinion I truly believe we have explored all avenues on what’s good and what’s bad about these exp rates (almost 300 replies of it…). So can we please have thread locked or something as I really don;t think anything else can be said that hasn’t already been covered.

I don’t get what is the point here.

Ok. I only want to level 1 or 2 max. And i don’t care about the time,so?

Yeah, EXP rate will change. What is the point arguing about this on 20 posts? And is confusing because people believe that EXP rate will be the same like was at the iCBT.
