Exchange Shop Costume Prices

As someone who has spent over 100$ supporting this game, I would like to ask a few questions regarding the pricing of certain items in the new Exchange Shop.

How come costumes that used to be 59 TP share the same price as costumes that used to cost 129 TP, and why do the old 129 TP costumes now cost 258 Medals (which is equal to 258 TP)?

I’d love to know if anyone has actually purchased any of the costumes from the exchange shop at those prices, and if so is it even remotely close to the amount that was purchased prior to being moved to the Exchange Shop.

I feel like with these new prices you would get less people buying. The old prices were actually fair (in my opinion at least), I don’t mind spending 5-10$ on a costume, now you have to spend over three times for most of them.

Thoughts? Any response from IMC? Any plans to change anything in the future?

I guess IMC can tell you “But you’re getting the costume AND you also got the nice thing you spent hundreds of dollars to get (for example, the schoolgirl swordsman outfit)”

They can say “We give you the option to get what you actually want if you got ugly headgears/ useless potions from gacha”

They can argue a lot of ways on how this system is superior, without it being actually true.

Gacha is something more culturally accepted in the east.

I guess my thoughts on this are
I agree with you
and
gacha sucks
But IMC are Korean and think that the entire world functions the same way economically, so they rather have us adjust, which is quite the shame.

I thought NPC costumes being less than 60 TP was genius
Giving us the chance to get a different costume while recycling content

The costumes unique to players costing more because they require more work from designers, 3D modelers, etc.

The new cost is just ridiculous.

I can go on forever
Costumization is my favorite part of the game and now it’s virtually inaccesible

I just think the new prices are really crazy, It’s like they just copy pasted the same price for everything and never cared to actually set a fair price.

I don’t mind choosing what I want to exchange for medals, the cost ends up coming the same as a TP to Medal exchange and IMC still makes their money. It’s just price gouging for something people probably won’t even buy anymore. I wish I had access to data regarding what people buy from there, I bet its nearly non existant now.

But anyways, hopefully these things change in the future for us here on iToS.
(speaking of which, if I recall prices on kToS’s gacha exchange are cheaper and varied in price. Going to try to look it up again)

They have their reasons : which is money… i guess

But yeah. things that once cost less, is now the same as everything. and also the prices have doupled in general for costumes… normally premium were 129 tp. while those orsha merchant etc once were 59 tp. now there are smth about 258 medals.

I dont like the new system and I will not buy gacha to exchange for medals to be able to buy costumes. It also just sounds stupid -
I buy premium currency to be able to gamble for another type of premium currency to finally buy the costume I want…
(good god I am happy I still bought my costumes before they removed them)
at least circle 3 costumes are still in TP shop for 129tp each.

The reason they upped the prices because people will buy it.

I doubt that’s actually true, and I seriously doubt people are buying a even a fifth as many costumes from the medal exchange than they were buying from the TP shop prior to them being moved.

Alas we’ll probably never know, but what little friends I have that are still playing the game will never buy a costume from the exchange shop, hence why I was curious what others thought.

As someone that has bought about a lot of costumes and was planning on buying more, the new prices completely killed any desire I had to buy any more. It’s just not going to happen, I’m not going to spend $25 on costumes that were $5, I’m not going to pay double for the other costumes. They’re going to be moving the head accessories soon to the medal shop and presumably jacking up the price.

I’m pretty much not buying TP anymore because of this. It’s a shame because I want to support the game but I’m not going to be taken for a ride by IMC. I don’t like gachas but I didn’t have a problem with them existing but seeing as though they’re using gachas to push this new system, I’m pretty much done. Sure people will still buy it if only because they’ll buy the gachas and trash their loot for medals but yeah, a lot less people will spend money on TP.

This is reminding me of the random avatar system, dungeon fighter online used to have when it was published by nexon in america. You bought NX to…basically put coins in a machine to get something random. And some of the items displayed were never obtainable to begin with lol. The only good thing it did was give the economy ALOT of things to trade in the auction and keep it active. Currently with neople running the game on thier own, players can buy whatever avatar they want for a considerable price. Special limited avatars are more expensive because they have more visually special things going on, and more.

The random item system thing or “gacha” system is what people are calling it? Is VERY VERY outdated. There are other krmmos that were being published in america that actually changed the system later because it was bad…

I guess I am being punished for not wanting to dish out so much of my cash at one time buying all of the costumes that I thought looked kinda cool. Regardless of if I even had the class or not. The fact that they made costumes available for considerable prices for awhile, and THEN took them out, leaving less costumes, to later bring them back in blessed cubes is even more horrible to the community. It’s probably gonna confuse the crap out of people.

This thread talks about “Prices” but the whole blessed cube thing in general is just really really horrible. It should not be in the game at all. Hopefully enough of us can state our opinion about it and get IMC to reconsider.

R.I.P TP Shop for me

Same here, never spending a penny again on this game unless prices change. They’re arrogant as hell to think someone’s going to pay up to 5x the price we used to a month ago.

Why don’t IMC make the exchange shop prices the same as it was before? I really cannot fkin’ understand that. Not even if the skies merged with hell I would pay almost the double for a costume. No way!

It would be a lot better if the medal exchange system was the price it was before. Nowadays, even if we got a costume from the stupid gacha system, we have a higher chance to get a costume that doesn’t fit our class… Why god

I think so too
In fact, maybe I’m an extremist, but I would even buy ugly hats from people, considering them “exchange medal” currency just to get what I want.

But 1 hat is 30 medals and they’re like, what? At least 1.5m?

It’s like there’s no way to win, lol…

If the NPC costume was 50 Medals like it was 50 TP before I’d buy 2 medal hats for 3m both and that’s more or less what costumes cost right now.

But nah, they’re 250 medals…lol

Because IMC want you pay more and more
We are second-class rather KTos & JTos

We love the game, but is so unworthy to support it…

Think IMC changed the way costumes was sold because they’re losing money with token.
Token was sold at 198 tps and now only 99.

I think this is how IMC balanced his income.

They are not thinking it… They are sure about it. It was a try first with the costumes, to see if it worked, and then put the headgear too if it was a success.
Guess what? Some whales keep buying those.
I won’t spend 1 more TP on this version of tos, throwing my wallet into a pit (which has more depth than our “game masters”) would be more worth it.

The NPC costumes used to cost 59 TP, now they cost jsut as much as the regular costumes

I want to play devil’s advocate and think this was done because they weren’t sustaining enough money. This way, they are able to, that is, if enough people actually bought cubes and exchanged items. TOS is a game that has a lot of complicated stuff in it that needs to be balanced, fixed and maintained. Maybe this way it would retain more revenue to support the devs and resources better…The random cash item thing still isn’t something that can be trusted though lol. I do still think that releasing new cash items on a regular basis that players can choose on their own, is a better idea.

Would they have to up the price of another item? Or maybe lower the price of items like companions so that they would be bought more frequently hmm.

So complicated we need 3 useless updates a month to fix and improve them.
Sorry, we got a NPC profile, how dishonest of me…

Tree of Savior cash shop is one of the most expensive I’ve ever seen. IMC doesn’t notice that’s better to have a lot of people buying (low prices), then none (high prices).

Maybe ppl are still buying because they have some love for the game, but suddenly this will be gone and no fool on earth will pay 10$ = 100 tp (considering the amout of itens 100tp can buy).
