This is a subject that I’ve been thinking so much aswell…

Like… I wanted to build a new character, one with good damage that can clean things fast and be able to stand on its own endgame wise…

Builded a Fencer aiming for F3 but stopes midway cuz I wanted to change the build midway… Then I thought about Shinobi Murmillo, was amazed by those clearing videos yet I don’t know how well he does in open field farm and full clean of dungeons, essencially how he does at speed farming silver/ items effectively compared with other classes…

As a comparison if u may help me, use my current Bokor Plague Doctor 2 I’m building ( Also Fencer and Drag ) .

For open world my thought is to use highguard + helmet for 730% dmg on rimblow and umbo blow.(this isn’t including attributes so you could easily be doing 1460%)

Essentially, You have swash buckle so you’ll always get a team

you can aoe pull mobs and use umbo and rimblow about 6x each (3 actual times but they have 2 overheat) so you’ll get in 12 attacks before high guard is over/

730%(+attribute%) x the 1200-1400ish dmg umbo/rim will be doing at base

roughly this will give you some 15-20k dmg (60-80k per rotation) and if you crit it will give you anywhere from 80k-160k per rotation every 12 seconds.

so my thought is in 25ish seconds you can do 300-500k dmg which is pretty damn close to the health of most high lvl mobs.

NOT TO MENTION using Actual Mumillo skills which have insane bases or using shooting star and targe smash in general.

I think they will be fine in PVE, you just can’t run in thinking you’ll do high dmg with shitty skills.

Just to put it into perspective

I have lvl 10 umbo and rim blow on my lvl 122 rod

with highguard ( AND EVEN A 50% dmg reduction) + 15% attributes on each

My before highguard dmg is 1.2k and my after high guard dmg is 3k

now if i had crista and more attribute + the buffs to high guard that would be waaaaaaaaay higher(also 2.7k without critical dmg)

I see, well the main point was to understand that shinobi part .

I saw some r8 videos and was amazed by shinobi burst damage on bosses with decent health. . On the other hand they don’t seem near as good as my Bokor PD at r8 when it comes to field grind or aoe farm on high level and high hp mobs (250k+ hp ) …

How is the AOE of shinobi murmillo? Also is it usable on tougher content? Because i can also drop a boss down almost as fast with bokor pd…

I mean, you have swashbuckle so you’re always going to be relevant.

your aoe is as good as your equips, so if you roll your equips for dmg and aoe attack then yeah your aoe is amazing, otherwise its about hitting 6-8 mobs at once which isn’t awful depending on skills that is. (but if you “Aoe Grind” you do it with a party and you already have your job so its irrelevant what else you do)
