EU servers ping, FIX IT NOW!

Someone please tell me how is it possible that my ping from Finland to the EU servers is from 300 to 600ms? Are the servers hosted in Siperia with only copper phoneline connection to the rest of the world? I find it interesting that only times you can actually play on the EU servers is really early in the morning, when no one else is playing.

At the moment, playing anything other than Swordsman seems pretty much impossible, I have actually lost count how many times I have died on my Wizard because of the lag spikes.

So please tell me when you have actually fixed the servers. In the mean time I’m going to play something else. Even though I love the game, it’s not worth of pulling my hair out or having the neighbors call the cops because I’m cursing the game to hell. Thanks.

Servers are in Usa located moron. Get Information first before you cry like a baby.

BECAUSE, as they told already in the past and almost everyone knows, the EU server is, as for now, in the US waiting to be MOVED to the EU after the game goes F2P

and also its your internet being utterly crap…

And their servers being crap too.

Yeah, because optic fibre-optic connection is utterly crap.

I bet it’s maade87 who is located in Siberia. The ping doesn’t go that high and there’s not that much packet loss from the capital area

My condolences, I know how bad it is on big parts of the countryside. The bad connections are awaiting for me too for the coming summer again :sob:

Well that explains it…

get a better internet lol…

optic fibre doesnt matter if the provider is utterly crap

The problem is he probably can’t. The distances are long in Finland and we have one of the lowest population densities in Europe. No ISP is willing to build new cable to just get one potential customer which means there’s very little competition. This translates as: unless you’re willing to pay the tens of kilometres of cable work yourself, you’re stuck with one ISP and/or wireless mobile connections.

While 4G could technically provide somewhat adequate connection, ISPs purposefully make the connection break occasionally when the system detects you’re using it for downloading a lot or playing mmos, to encourage you to buy the cable connection. At least the 4G connection only gets troubles when you do these, even if there were only few people using the network. If you ask ISPs about this, the answer is that they aren’t doing it on purpose though.

I feel lucky that i’m not lagging, and in the EU playing on the ‘NA’ server.

You can’t. Once you buy an optic fibre connection from a ISP (There are three) you are stuck with it, since while you own the optic fibre from your house to the box, the ISP owns everything from the box onwards.

My ping is 150 to 200 in early mornings, but during the weekend evenings it jumps to 300 to 600ms, and that just makes the game unplayable. And the problem ain’t my internet connection, the problem is that the EU servers are not in EU and I wasn’t aware of that.
