Italy here, from previous experience I believe Germany is the best location for servers, with Netherlands being a close second.

SErver in Germany would be the best option IMO. Also , hope russians will get their own server. Not cause i care about them, but cause i would prefer not having them among civilized european people playing. I wouldnt want ToS become another DOTA or CS

Doesnāt matter to me as long as it is in EU,
Coming from FF xiv, we only got our EU server recently and a lot of people left the game at launch because we used to play with such delay it made the game a living hell for some fights.
Basicaly Square shot themselves in the foot because they werenāt sure EU would be interested in their product and now the EU fanbase will be hard to win back.

I am playing from Canary Islands, Spain. I am very far from everything, of course I will have better ping in a Spanish server but maybe, you can consider to host in France. I am a developer and I have my own dedicated server located in France with very good ping (85ms France and 60-70ms in Spain). Everything that is under 100ms is very fine. Keep in my that I am from Canary Islands, Europe but located in Africa xD.

a lot asking for frankfurt server ā¦lol so make a pole IMC on choices you thinking about and u will see many choosing frankfurt

Iām from Portugal and Iāve got no clue what is the best country to host the EU server, so anywhere would be fine by me if that equals lower ping.

as man have been saying: Frankfurt, Germany maybe be the best choice. many cloud providers including AWS and google host there because the german telekom has a huge backbone there.

From Germany here, bought the Founders Package.
Locations with good IT infrastructure are where most companies host their EU-Servers.
Mainly countries like Germany / Netherlands / France.
All of europe has good pings to those locations.
On a sidenote: a lot of european players will probably not even buy when there are no EU-Servers. Maybe do something like a kickstarter for eu servers maybe?
