From experience of other MMOs with European server I’ve played, a server situated in Germany would be just perfect.

Located in the Netherlands. Ideal server location would be Germany or Netherlands I believe. Germany should have slightly better ping for east europe, but both Amsterdam and Frankfurt have quality infrastructure.
I got 12-15 ping from me to Frankfurt xD

From the steam sale stats you guys posted earlier, it would be more logical to have a regional server for SEA.
One problem with kickstarter.
The cut they will take, then the cut that steam will want.
As you can’t just tell steam “Uhh we did that on kickstarter… pleaes give keys for free… kindly pleaes.”
If they add an official repsonse, that when x amounts of sales from countrys outside of Latin America and North America is done, an Eu server will be opened.
People would go and buy dlc. Watch that graph move smothly up to the “We got you, guys!” mark.

I didn’t had that much lag on the beta so i might not care but if you plan to launch an european server Germany would be a good choice i guess.

EDIT: You know if this is (becomes) a declaration of a server going up near me I am ready to throw money in along with a “few” friends in Europe.

i am from southern Germany. Good Datacenter-locations for me would be Frankfurt (DE-CIX), Amsterdam (AMS-IX) or Suisse/Zurich (GE-CIX).
Also depends on what pricing you could get for traffic and so on, but i would guess Frankfurt would be one of the best options.

If there are plans for a SEA server I sincerely do hope that it will be through channeling partners and not through any of our publishers here because they are seriously bad at it ._.
Despite that, I might not leave international server at all because the people there are awesome xD

From sweden here would love to play on a european server already bought founders and my body is ready though if you could put the servers in germany that would make things even better

I guess it doesnt make that much of a difference for my location where inside of EU a server would be used, though Frankfurt is a pretty basic choice as a large hub of internetdata pass there anyway?
