[Equipments] Chaplain/PD [GONE WRONG, IN THE HOOD]

1- skip roxona all together, cafri works to 220 np and victox set is better and free.

2- best weapon for chap is maga rod till ET ones. If u got points on str ■■■■■■ up badly, str is useless in chap.

3- arde dagger works forever, if you want to upgrade go karacha or venom, doesnt matter that much. you should have a shield for swich but when dps always dagger, you atack whit it.

4- wizard bracelets that later upgrade whit the 220 missions.

5- 33 ele damage hats x3 .

Hi guys. I’m currently 115 as a soon to be chaplain. I’ve invested in around 140int 70con and 40spr. Did I go wrong? Should I have skipped SPR altogether? I’m just worried that I messed up and need to use the star reset potion but I’m hesitant since it won’t be available again anytime soon.

virtov set is free ? are you sure about this ? where to get the set ?

It’s not exactly free as your getting it from the lvl 240 saalus convent
dungeon. Neither the recipe nor the equip items are tradeable, so you’re free to craft it yourself, if you’re lucky enough to get the recipe. afaik the mats are not too cheap

100con-100spr-rest int is ok, thats for a stone skin build. Just remember that int scales better for damage.

the virtrox recipes have pretty higth chance to drop from lvl 240 dung, the mats are cheap for then that you make good silver just be killing mobs. is prety much 1/5 of roxana set.

And tbh rox set sucks.

If you cant wait the urge for change, there is for free the Grynas set that is very cheap, free recipes and a decent set lvl 220. You get it from the event defend the campfire in the cold land area near the mine wagon.

Hey guys, and all the other Chaps out there. What level are your Chaps as of the moment? Would want to discuss something with you guys. Been looking around the cleric topics for a while and I’ve always been reading things regarding chaplain’s damage falls low after lv200. Is it really that bad to the point that you’ve had regrets rolling chap or nahh? I just want your opinions in current endgame chaplains because I’ll be giving up Cleric2 in my build for a chap.

Currently a lv145 Cleric1-Priest3-Krivis1.

Thanks a lot! :slight_smile:

I have a 226, and a 185 chap. I don’t regret going chap, it’s not so much the damage itself falling off, but elite mobs being so baller that only having autos up in their face is…well really inefficient and scary.

That being said most classes can’t deal with them super efficiently either outside of heavy ranged dps, and at that point party play is what everyone does anyways.

I went druid2 after chaplain for more dps and I think my damage is still pretty good, I can solo any map around my level (245) fighting 2-3 elite easily.
for grind party and dg I still use aspergillum and auto atk, along with carnivory and sterea trofh every time sword uses taunt
ps: and i still use cafrisun set lol

Main reason why I made a new chap, carnivory is awesome lol.

Sucks when you accidentally pull a big group since the hits get divided among the mob lol.

Why what was your first chaplain like? I still dont know what my c6 and 7 will be. =x

I did Kriv>PD

It filled the fantasy I was going for, the int-fighter-buff-mage I had in my head. Ultimately Krivis felt very underwhelming to take at c6, but at the same time it was better for PD’s incinerate. Doesn’t help that plagues are everywhere and don’t work together well with other plagues.

I decided to Druid instead to have more fulfilling skills in the rotation, whilst still supporting with invulns. I ditched stoneskin entirely and have a max revive, res, and mass heal.

Sure Div can do the invuln thing better, but I dislike their stationary play.

@Parzy
Personally I don’t regret for going Chaplain, other thing to mention is we are not full DPS, so the damage output in late game wouldn’t be as good as before is easy to understand. As I said Chaplain is kind of a bit of everything in Cleric line, a bit DPS, a bit healer and mainrole is Buffer. So the last 2 class would be defined what kind of Chaplain you are which I can’t really tell.

Palla and diev for last rank seem like a interesting path to go with Kivis imo.

So you plan on taking d2? How’s the synergy like? Do you still auto attack?

Why ditch stone skin? There are enough points if you don’t max blessing.

@prinzhernan
Imo, stone skin is great at first, but later on it get weaker and weaker and going full SPR for Chaplain wouldn’t be a great idea also. Not to mention it got nerf in PvP so kinda not useful as before now. Blessing didn’t need to be max, just max the attribute will do you fine also.

P/s: I still have extra 7 skill points in Priest and still don’t know what skill to put on XD.

Yeah I still auto, I think of it as filler when carn is off cooldown, or I just do it for pre 200 mobs since they are easy to donk on.

I have 0 spr. I’m all int and con, and from my first Chap stoneskin becomes unreliable the further you go w/o spirit. So instead of having 5 points into something that -might- negate a physical hit, I maxed Revive instead for a bigger heal and invuln which are garunteed on death.

Pretty good outputs regarding the class. Thanks again guys :slight_smile:

@Parzy
Sorry, I’m a bit late to the discussion. My chaplain’s sitting at 280, and I don’t have any issues with my damage. It’s pretty high but I have 500+ int and well over 1k magic attack at this point. My attributes for Carnivory and Aspersion aren’t maxed yet. Lots of people report their damage falling off but most Chaplains I know take Cleric C2 at rank 6 and that’s probably why. I originally intended to go Krivis>PD but then I just said fk it and picked Druid anyway. No regrets :slight_smile:

If u dont take Cleric c2 then u will regret it later for end-game content like ET.
At the end of the day, your main job is a HEALER, and u cant heal 5 people with only 10 tiles of heal.

@Sandstorm LOL. Thanks for sharing your experience man! good for you!! :smiley: are you having some issues regarding teamplay (heals, keeping everyone alive and etc.) in end game? Whats your opinion regarding aspersio5 vs 10? Im now planning to sacrifice aspersio. If the damage output is not that high, I may go for aspersio 5 with revive 10 instead since my heal tiles are insufficient for emergency heals. Or is revive5 aspersio10 stll manageable?

@shion2907
I think I’ll still go for chap instead of cleric c2. Yeah youre correct but me and my friends will try to form or figure out some kind of a countermeasure to my limited tiles. I play with my friends most of the time and I always tell them to stay close to each other so I can burst heal their HP with mass heal. I only use the heal tiles as secondary heal. So far, were not having issues but I’m not sure about the current end game.

@Parzy
Thanks. I’m actually not usually the dedicated support/healer in my parties. When I am, though, maxed Mass Heal and lv. 5 heal is enough when combined with all the invulnerability from sterea trofh+safety zone is.

I thought about it dropping points in Aspersion, but I ended up maxing it. Mine’s level 16 right now w/ a Rodelin Gem. I know it’s only a few hundred points in damage, but it makes up for what I lost after ditching the Cafrisun set. Like everything else discussed, it comes down to if you want to do more damage or be a better support.
