Easy archer build for someone who does't usually play games at all

Hi,

I am trying to get my girlfriend to play this game and so far she seems to enjoy it but she is really, and I mean really bad at playing it. She has not played many games, let alone any RPGs or MMOs, and she is having kind of a hard time learning all the mechanics.

I haven’t really played much ToS myself to be able to understand the synergy between classes so I suggested her to pick the archer class hoping to help me solve my swordie DPS issues.

I don’t see her playing alone that much so I would like to ask for your help with build that is easy to play and has a good synergy with a Swordsman2 > Peltasta 1 > Rodelero 1 (>proably Rodelero 2 > Doppel 2). At this moment I am using a cleric alt to support her until higher levels.

Archer, really?
I would say that cleric and wizard are easier, principally cleric, that is self sustaining.

archer is pretty glass cannon, you will need to grab all mobs aggro, or she will have to move constantly, since she don’t play, I think this will be difficult.

also, the game have a dificult meter when creating a character

If someone is really bad Archer and Cleric are probably the best choices.
Archer can keep his distance and Cleric allows more mistakes.

But Cleric needs some general understanding of the game to be the overpowered abomination it is.

I suggest you keep going Cleric+Archer and swap characters ocasionally so she finds whatever she likes the most and you play to compliment the strenghts of her class of choice.

The game is way more fun and easy if you just play like that.

any archer while you leveling new char as linker and play with her

make her fun, make her feel strong when she playing with you

try to busy for a while, let’s her solo, let’s her feel, let’s her know how important of you xD

qs3 build is simple to play
use running shot as main weapon at early
get later game class while running shot going to be filler skill

***forget about cleric support
pick linker as support and everything will easy as pie

QS3 is prob the best bet with wugu2 brain dead archer build.

I think she should make a cleric. They gives untilities, support, heal, damage. It is very easy to play. Swordies plus cleric is better than archer+ swordies.
Make a diev 3 it will be swordies best friend

@articuuno, I have picked archer because generally, when talking about MMOs archers have some kind of reliable auto attack and not that many spells to spam like wizards do. I have yet to play any of these two classes. I’d also say that if we really play enough together to reach a level where aggros become a problem she’ll probably have enough knowledge and skill to deal with it or take the decision to try another class :slight_smile:
I will certainly keep your post in mind though

I really the other 3 build suggestions and switching characters seems like a great idea. Drinks are on me! :beers::tropical_drink::wine_glass:

Archer is not the one i would go for if you want easy.

Go full support with wiz-pyro-linker2-chrono3-Sage, amazing build, great support and really easy to play.

Or if there is any hope in her getting better at the game, cleric2-diev3-priest-DP2. Really nice support and depending on your swordie build, she might out-dps you at PD.

I’d change Priest for Miko, way better for Diev :stuck_out_tongue:

Miko is great, but the miko quest is not something i would recommend for a very casual player.

Since you’re using shields often, you shouldn’t really go doppel because that’s a 2h-sword revolved class,

And yes like the others said, a cleric would be the best go-to

Can you support her with the equipment? with strong equip and head accessories anything is easy.

I think qs3 is very easy to play because she can just use running shot and aa and it will be all good.

Also you may consider playing a support wiz like w1 pyro1 link2 chrono3 enchanter. (pyro1 for extra aa, link2 for faster clearing mob, chrono3 for quicken and haste, enchanter for enchant lightning) With all this you can make her aa very strong like a real heroine.

i also prefer linker (prefer c2+)

i have played with qs3 from lv1 till rank8 recently

linker is no.1 class to play with friend/gf/bf/or other ppl that u know
especially as casual player

maybe she is playing the wrong class. Maybe she would like cleric more?
