[DropPerKill] Drop rate system- DPK- Explained [Updated]2

I was reading when he edited his post.
So there is a high chance it is a big bait.

A lot of the information here is also what was discovered in the ā€œ50,000 Kills Later~ā€ thread. But youā€™d have to read through a ton of comments.

IMO Dad pointless trying to spread this information to skeptics who only cry bait. Letā€™s just monopolize it.

Youā€™ve already done this community a service just like the people who explained how world bosses work (but didnā€™t have to).

So basically what people have discovered is RNG in this game is a lottery.

Thereā€™s a static variable server side per-channel, per-map, per-mob that counts how many monsters were killed on a specific channel by any player, not just your player and it rewards the player who hits the number they specified for that particular item to drop?

If that is the case, thatā€™s pretty f*cking lame not gonna lie. But I also didnā€™t see proof just a bunch of debating going on so Iā€™m not going to jump on the ā€œitā€™s a factā€ train until itā€™s been confirmed as such. But I really hope that IMC isnā€™t handling RNG that way BECAUSE itā€™d give a huge advantage to bottersā€¦

Yes, there was no proof posted here either. When we asked for proof he deleted all his posts.

Correct. 20/chararcters

I i will not provide any what so ever, you are free to believe and test it yourself. Not worth wasting my time with this garbage community with 90% morons. Those who are interested in knowing it further can contact me and i will discuss matter in private.

Edit: i wish people learnt how to read.

You are free to believe it.

Why should I test it myself? You made a claim.

The proof is in the pudding. People in the White Decorative Boater thread have been noting this with a MUCH larger sample size. 1 guy kills over 126K of them and gets nothing. Another kills 2.6K and gets the hat. Sure, you could say that is pure RNG, but having played RO for years, it seems much more likely that its based on kill count reached. RNG would make it so that two people would get the hat within 100 kills of each other on the same channel or even that one person would have two hats (that God tier RNG bro), but this hasnā€™t happened.

After today i will test about the theory of kill count reset on maintence, if thats true than fuk this system. Also that hat has an absurd high DPK based on those reports.

Well I got all your post content that was deleted.
I will read carefully e test.

Why would kill count be more likely than RNG in that scenario? Both is similar as possible.

That is true, but people pointed out other items they got twice in row, so my tendency would go to pure RNG because the scenario that IMC would implement two different drop systems depending on item is even more unlikely.

And nobody is forcing you to believe it. The people who have sank many hours into testing this know what theyā€™re talking about. They could very well take off with the information, but have instead chosen to share it. Be grateful.

If I told you that world bosses spawn every 4 hours and you demanded evidence Iā€™d tell you to just jump in and see it for yourself. I wouldnā€™t bother creating a video ā€œprovingā€ it just so you could compete with me for drops. And yet some people have chosen to release the information.

Get it?

People are trying to be nice and they get treated like conspiracy theorists. Jesus.

Theyā€™ve shown that they donā€™t. And that they refuse to provide proof is just like admitting defeat.

Making weird claims != being nice.

Kk someone will make a guide on how to farm infrorocktors with 100% unimpeachable incontrovertible evidence just for you.

If someone does that Iā€™ll officially admit that I was wrong on the internet.

Everyone here that has interest in continue this discussion please delete your current posts and proceed to talk with me in private about my research. There will be no more public announcements about my findings whatsoever.

Thank you all for your attention.

Lemme try to explain this another way. It is EXTREMELY unlikely statistically to be struck by lightening, but it does occur completely randomly. This is RNG. There is a man that has been struck by lightening 6 times. There are occurrences of a bunch of people getting struck within a short period of time. Thatā€™s how RNG works. If the White Boater were working by the same rules, there should have been by now a bunch more hats. The fact that there are not, that lightening hasnā€™t stuck twice so-to-speak, highly suggests that items like these are playing by different rules.

No? It just suggest that the drop rate is low. Probably lower than 0.01% even.

How many of those White Boater Hats even dropped on this server? One? Need a larger sample to tell for sure.

Also why not test it with a 50% drop? Much easier to prove, no?

@Bald_Dad Iā€™m sorry you felt that you needed to delete this. Even if you are not 100% right and there are more variables involved, such as rng combined with dpk; you provided valuable data for the community and i thank you for your effort. It is sad that instead of the community coming together and trying to run more tests and figure this out that many demanded more work then you have already done and refused to believe you without putting in any efforts themselves.

Itā€™s completely possible that all items work on a dpk mixed with rng. So each tier of dpk would provide you with different x% with items from the mobs drop list. This would allow for the patterns we are seeing while also allowing the deviances from the pattern some people report.
