[DropPerKill] Drop rate system- DPK- Explained [Updated]2

Plz stop hating the people…
Some random coming and “stealing” your gem is the same as being unlucky with RNG…
In DPK the randoms players are literraly what randomize your drops.

You guys are okay with a server/program randomly ■■■■■■■ you but not with players doing the same. It’s almost funny.

No it isn’t. It isn’t the same at all. A random drop is random. A DPK drop is PREDESTINED, that mob was always going to drop that item, and if you didn’t kill 9,000 mobs beforehand it wouldn’t have dropped at all. It is literally someone coming along and stealing the work you put in. In a true random system every kill could potentially drop an item, the first kill the second the server comes up could be a drop, two monster gems could drop in a row as unlikely as it is. In a DPK system one player, or several players if more than one are farming for the item, have to put in the work to get the kill count up - and then some random guy can just walk by at the right time and steal it.

lol how is a random person stealing your work the same as an RNG from a server/program. How about let us know what you are farming and tell us how many you killed so we can get a guild to farm the same location and steal the item, making you doing the work all over again. DPK is a terrible system when the bar is set to high. DPK can work if it’s character based slowly increasing your odds of getting the item if RNG is not in your favor.

But nobody has this data… And you need it in order to deny me my loot. That’s why you’re asking for it
Since you don’t have any data, you have no damn idea when I/you will loot the item. Same with RNG.

That is why it’s a flawed system knowing it can be denied. At the same it can sort of be calculated based on maintenance when it resets. It’s not the same as RNG from the server as the above poster mention. Every kill has a potential drop vs 7000 kills will get the drop.

For the nth time, THIS is the flaw.

Blame imc, not DPK.

But hey, try to reason with roulette addicts…

It’s easier than you think.
And thanks to cloaking you won’t even know who is stalking you.

Please refer to an older post of mine:

You don’t have to snipe it on purpose to snipe it. You can’t equate losing a DPK drop to losing an RNG drop, because it IS NOT random. Nothing anyone else does has anything to do with your odds of getting an item with an RNG system. With DPK, you have to put in work that could amount to nothing if someone else gets the kill. Imagine if world boss loot was determined by giving a cube only to one of the last 3 players to hit the boss, would that be fair? Because that’s essentially what DPK does.

You wouldn’t have been able to predict it if DPK count weren’t reset every maintenance.

True but that’s how it works right now, sadly…

I know
That’s why I don’t fight against DPK but against people who think that DPK is ■■■■ while, in fact, the only real problems are theses DPK maintenance/crash resets…

Instead of whining about DPK being in the game (some guys like me like it), WE should demand that imc fix the problem of maintenances/crashes resetting the DPK count…

It’s as good as telling people not to farm gems and such dpk because some random will go stealing your gem at 10k dpk via luck.
Say a stranger a is farming a DPK item you know it’s gonna drop.

But some one took it away from you in your face when he stroll in at that X mark. who knows he is secretly observing you in your channel finding what drops before hand. As there are certain patterns to drop then > Dpk you wanted. E.g Nodachi x2/3 > 1 BB

DPK not being reset in maintenance. Means only certain item will drop instead of nil at all. It does not change the fact a random stroller A/ or a stalker will come in and get you rekted for your efforts of dishing out XXX kills. When you know the predetermined item is gonna drop.

Here i am not cursing DPK but i find that this system is extremely flaw on this basis of implementation. IMC to blame? Most likely but the point is stated at the start. It is not “fair” to those who abuse the good will of random farmers lol. I know some like it as you know you can control when it will be dropping but yea,

Sure you can state we are busybody for sharing all this information but hey this pretty much tells you, you can steal other efforts for free. You won’t do it? or should i rephrase will people not do it if they know they can?? lel.

Might as well promote drops in Lower tier dungeon with a random % drop through out full clear as a incentive instead.

Hey I’m too lazy to read this and discern for myself whether DPK exists or not, but if it does, how does reincarnate affect it?

If they’re going to have DPK in the game at all, it should be player based and alongside a normal RNG system. Say an item has a droprate of 1%, or 1 in 100. If you kill 200 mobs and don’t get the drop, it should drop for you automatically. The game already tracks your personal killcount and item drops, I see no reason this couldn’t be the way it’s done. Making it channel based instead of player based just makes you hate having other players around when you’re trying to farm something.

Blizzard did something similar with Diablo 3 with the pity timer of no legendary within two hours due RNG, the droprate increases and resets once it drops. But we’re talking about IMC here when they don’t give a sh*t with iToS and fixing this broken drop rate system.

Well, kToS uses the same system. It may be changed if the Koreans complain about it.

They will not because they have a working DPK system without weekly resets.

By the way, it occured to me that this post wouldn’t have gained this much traction if it wasn’t for theses weekly resets.
Think about it, proving/showing that DPK is a reality would have been way harder without theses and the infamous white boater

Sometimes the numbers fail you when they shouldn’t. I was always taught math is an exact science. xD So, I’ve killed the required monsters for the drop rate % and still no drop! Wooo, bad luck, haha.

This is cool  20 chars

I can repost my screenshot again if needed, but IMC Support claims that the DPK system doesn’t exist.
